Windclan Offical RPG:
Epidemic

[Open to all clans!]

Deep within the heart of the moorland, a mysterious disease has struck. With symptoms close to green leaf, many assumed that the disease would fade as the harsh weather of Leaf-bare gave into the warm, damp weather of New-Leaf. But as time wore on and as more and more cats fell ill, the warriors of Windclan were proved wrong.
The mysterious disease has proved itself to be immune to every herb on this side of the mountains, and nothing but luck can keep you from catching it. And now with the loss of nearly every healthy Windclan member, it's time to start looking for the cure to the mysterious illness.

[x] Try not to randomly kill off your character! If you want to kill your character in this RPG, feel free to, but please do not make it happen in one post. Make it realistic! If your character catches the illness, make their decline steady, just as it would happen in real life, not just; "Oh look I caught the illness I'm dead!"

Description: She is a black she cat with smoky grey paws. Blackbriar is very big for a she cat and also quite muscular. She is good at fighting things but prefers not to. She will only unsheathe her claws in self-defense or of her leader says so. She is a fierce follower of the warrior code, but does not like to be told off or being in large but enclosed spaces, like in a forest.

~Yo, Lilac's hung up cuz of the weather down here, she wanted me to tell y'all to go ahead and start, amigos! You're all accepted, obviously, and Blackstone, you can be med cat apprentice as WC has none. ~

Moorstrike looked over the shrunken clan and let out a sigh, tail lashing. So few... this disease is killing us slowly but surely. An especially sharp gust of wind howled, bringing with it a smattering of raindrops, and he flinched away, short fur flat against his spine.

Moonpaw padded off to the medicine cat den for her daily emergency herb training. All the cats had to do it, in case something bad happened. They had lost so many to the disease that they couldn't lose someone to a infected cut or something. She enjoyed her time in the medicine cat den, but knew she couldn't become the medicine cat. She couldn't bare to not be able to have a loving mate or kits. Maybe she could talk to the leader about it. She hoped so, because Windclan needed all the medicine cats they could get. The weirdest thing about this disease was that some cats seemed immune to it, including Moonpaw. 'Starclan help us!' She thought

"Hi Moonpaw!" Blackbriar purred. She walked to the entrance of the den to greet the apprentice. She looked out into the camp and heard none of the normal noises she had heard as a young apprentice before the sickness struck. She and her mentor had done all that they possibly could but still cats died. Blackbriar didn't like to see cats die, even if they were from other Clans. She led Moonpaw into the den to give her a little bit of training in case one of her denmates came down with the sickness. Along the way she took a few leaves from her little stash of medicine to make sure she wouldn't get infected by the sickly cats she took care of most days. Blackbriar enjoyed being a medicine cat, and she shared a very strong connection to StarClan and the warrior code.

~Sorry for not accepting everyone sooner ;_; I was just being lazy and then the internet died~

Lilacstar emerged from the shelter of her den, her large ears folded against her head to prevent the icy rain from filling her ears. As she trekked down the slight slope from her den down to the center of the hollow, a particularly strong gust of wind brought the sour stench of illness into Lilacstar's face, making her wince.

'With so many cats ill, we don't have enough warriors to hunt for the clan and patrol the borders. I'm afraid we're going to over work the healthy warriors and cause them to fall ill as well.' Lilacstar observed grimly as she approached the medicine cat's den. Quietly, she poked her head into the dimly lit hollow, observing the rows of ill cats quietly sleeping. Sighing in distress, she quickly pulled away from the den; her stomach rolling from the sour scent of illness.

Inhaling the icy air of early New-Leaf, Lilacstar padded slowly up the hill towards the center of camp before sitting down slowly on her haunches and observing Blackbriar as she led Moonpaw towards her early morning herb training.
'Perhaps a little extra training before the rest of the clan wakes up won't hurt.' Lilacstar mused, hauling herself to her paws again before trailing down the hillside back to the medicine cat's den, before poking her head in.
"Mind if I join in?" She asked, her amber eyes fixated on Blackbriar.

Blackbriar turned around and gazed back at Lilacstar. "It's no problem, come on in!" she mewed. She blinked and sat down facing Lilactar.

Lilacstar dipped her head to the medicine cat before stepping into the spacious den. The pungent scent of herbs and ill cats made her nose wrinkle slightly.

Sitting down cautiously, the cream colored tabby looked over at her companion and healer, before cocking her head to the side questioningly.

"Where would you like to start? You're the expert." She said, slightly amused at the blank look on Blackbriar's face.

Blackbriar had just started on the use of poppy seeds when- "Moonpaw! Get your lazy hide out here!" Angryfoot, Moonpaw's mentor, yowled. He was very, well, angry. "Get you lazy hide out of that den or so help me I will come in there and get you out here myself! Get your head out of the clouds!" Angryfoot marched in to the den. "And you!" He snarled, turning on Blackbriar "Don't you be filling my apprentices head up with your nonsense! The only thing we need right now are warriors, not some mouse-brains like you that wander around looking for plants while others fight. Moonpaw! Come, we are leaving!" Moonpaw cast a sad look at Blackbriar and Lilacstar, who were both taken aback by the angry warrior and the way he treated his apprentice, and then was dragged out by the ear, feet scrambling below her.

Amberpaw poked her head out of the apprentice's den. The breeze ruffed the thick fur at the base of her neck and she shivered. She was tempted to return to her nest, but at that moment she had spotted Lilacstar heading towards the medicine cat's den. Her interest was immediately piqued. It was still pretty early-- right after dawn. Why's she up already? Amberpaw cast a swift glance behind her to make sure Eaglepaw was still asleep before venturing out into the open. She wanted to do some lone investigation, although she wasn't sure why. Maybe she was just starved for some entertainment.

"Angryfoot!" Lilacstar snapped, leaping to her feet, her amber eyes narrowed in disgust and annoyance to the way the prickly warrior had addressed his apprentice and Blackbriar.
She stepped up towards the tom, her ears flat and her expression contorted into a deep scowl. Her eyes raked over his figure.
"Quit behaving like a fox having a fit and learn how to treat your medicine cat and your apprentice with respect!" Lilacstar snapped impatiently; Angryfoot was quiet a pain, and with the tremendous amount of strain she was under, Lilacstar was in no mood to deal with his imprudent attitude.
"Or I'll treat you like an apprentice with no respect for his seniors and have you cleaning the elders den for the rest of Moonpaw's warrior training!" She added the last part icily, her dominance over the matter spilling into her already foul mood.

"Ouch," Amberpaw muttered. She'd stopped by the warriors' den, and was now hiding behind it, hoping that her ginger fur would blend into the ground. She eyed Angryfoot apprehensively and silently thanked StarClan that he wasn't her mentor. Such a ridiculous name anyways, the apprentice thought spitefully. And fitting too. I wonder why in StarClan's name he was made a mentor in the first place.

Coldfang would've woken at a regular hour had it not been for the racket in the camp. He was a chronically light sleeper. It never took much for him to be jolted awake. Giving himself a slight shake, he lifted his head up and rolled carefully to his feet. Most of the others were still asleep, except for those on the dawn patrol. The gray warrior stepped out of the den and spotted the group over by the medicine cat's den. He spotted Angryfoot first. Ah. Him again.
