Darker Than Black RP

First topic message reminder :

This roleplay is based on the anime, Darker than Black. It isn't exactly the same but I tweaked things round a little to make it simpler to understand and RP.

Ten years ago, an inscrutable and abnormal territory known as Hell's Gate appeared in Tokyo, altering the sky and wreaking havoc on the landscape. The real stars disappeared, replaced by false stars.

It was dark.

The city was unnervingly quiet that night as the black cat swiftly leaped across one roof after another, only pausing for a short sniff. There was a dark figure crouched at the edge, back facing him.

"Mao? What is it?" The figure spoke tonelessly.

The crescent moon was partially hidden behind the gloomy clouds, weak rays of silver light reaching his face. But one could not see his face.

Because he was wearing a mask. A mask that shielded his face. Mao stared at him for a while longer than necessary, wondering what lay behind that unnerving mask and cold voice. Perhaps there was more behind this mysterious Contractor. Sensing that the other man was waiting for an answer, he quickly mewed, "We have orders from The Syndicate, Hei. Stop the M-16 organization."

His yellow eyes narrowed into slits.

Wipe them all out."

Description: Tall young 17-year-old boy with black hair and dark blue eyes. When operating as a Contractor, he wears a bullet-proof coat and white mask.
Ability: Molecular/Electrical Manipulation - Generating and bending electricity at will
Obeisance: Kissing someone of an opposite gender
Others: A extremely skilled fighter and capable of acrobatic acts.

Ability: Weapon Energizing - Able to turn almost everything into a weapon by energizing them
Obeisance: Not seeing with his right eye
Description: Young 13-year-old boy with dyed white hair and heterochromatic eyes - one amber and one green. Has a cherubic face and is well-liked by many. He usually wears a blindfold over his right eye to fulfill his obeisance.
Others: He wields a long pale green sword which he made by himself. His energized sword can slice through everything easily and he can dodge attacks quickly by energizing himself.

Brynne shrugged. "Course I'm coming. Why wouldn't I?" She stepped past Hei into the hallway, shutting the bedroom door firmly behind her. "Where's Luke and the others?" Brynne shifted the weight on her ankle, rolling it back and forth to ease the pressure.

"Right behind you," Hei laughed and stopped suddenly, a look of surprise on his face. It has been years since he last laughed, ever since his sister was gone. He didn't know why he did it but it felt natural to him. Realizing everyone was staring at him, he shot them a glare," What?"

"Haven't heard you laugh before." Chris smirked, running a hand through his thick red hair. The giant of a guy's dark green eyes were the color of moss sparkling in the bright sunlight. He wore a black and red hoody that said 'Im pretty fly for a white guy.' and old jeans with old black and red vans. Around his neck was a silver chain from which a gnarly silver cross hung.

"Hahaha," Hei faked a laugh, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "Now you've heard it twice, we should really get going." He slipped his mask on, tightening the buttons on his black coat. He double checked that his grappling hook was safely hidden in his inner pocket and his daggers too.

"Have you guys done your obeisance?" He asked. He wasn't too sure what their payment was but it was better safe than sorry.

Chris smirked. "Yup. Last Halloween." He chuckled at the memory. He had dressed up like a girl with tons of make up for the whole day and had pranked a ton of the Syndicate members...whom hadn't taken it well. "Anyway, lets get to work."

Brynne eyed Hei curiously. She'd just realized it had been the first time she'd heard him laugh for real. At his question, she nodded and tapped her pocket. "All set." Unconciously touching the hilt of the swort shord on her back, Brynne looked at her fellow Syndicate members expectantly. "Let's go."

"I haven't forgotten that," Hei muttered darkly, remembering how Chris had done all sorts of crazy stuff that day. He couldn't help but smile a little at the memory. "Alright. Since Chris has a great sense of smell for a wolf, you could go ahead first and track their scent."

Chris gave one last chuckle and shifted into wolf form. But not before saying "Flame on!" He then went to work, sniffing around busily.

Brynne snorted at Chris's antics and followed more slowly, glancing out toward the city from time to time. "More people are up now," she reminded Hei, glancing back at him. "If the M-16 haven't cleared out yet, it'll be easy to find 'em." Rubbing her arm, Brynne hoped that the M-16 would be harder to find. Easier would mean that they hadn't hidden themselves better, and wuld be easily noticed by the citizens around them if a fight came. She was just itching to prove to that Shizu boy thatshe was no weakling. Brynne scowled to herself. She hated being underestimated or looked down on upon by anyone. She had to constantly keep proving herself because she was a girl.

Jeffry stirred and woke up with a terrible headache. He vaguely remembered the enemy contracted guy sapping him and capturing Alexa. He sat bolt upright. "Shizu!" He called, looking around widly

"Mmhmm?" Shizu folded his arms, leaning casually against the wall. "Don't worry, you went out cold so I brought you back here." He managed a weak smile. Alexa was gone and Caine was dead. The M-16 would be outnumbered against the Syndicate if a fight comes about. July was standing next to him, expressionless as he waited for an order. "Guys, we're gonna get Alexa."

He tossed a cowl over himself, covering his face and sprang onto the window ledge. "July will stay here. Jefry, you coming?"

Hei watched as Chris sprang ahead, sniffing the ground like a lunatic dog. "Brynne... " Hei murmured, his dark blue eyes rising to meet hers as he used one free hand to slid off his mask.

"Of course." Jeffry said, getting up slowly. "We're going to need more recruits, though. We can't take on the whole syndicate by ourselves. But I will come." He stood up and cut off some hair. "There. My obesiance is done." He began to feel better already.

"Yes?" Brynne turned around, startled out of her thoughts, her dark green eyes meeting Hei's. There was a rather odd expression on his eyes as he took off his mask. "Hei?" she asked uncertainatly, the corner of her mouth tugging downards in a half frown as she stared at him.

Ability: Molecular Structure- she has the ability to rearrange the molecular strcture of objects, changing it into a different substance. Unable to, however, destroy and/or create molecules
Obeisance: Creating works of art (paintings, sketches, sculptures, etc.)
Description: small, petite 14 year old girl with straight dark brown hair. Has a rather forgettable face, plain with large hazel eyes.
Other: Is a very good artist. She hides out in a building on Street 62, and has a base there. The walls of the room she sleeps in is covered with paintings and sketches and whatnot. Scavanges anything and changes the junk's molecular structure into the materials she needs

(Let's say Shizu and Jefry managed to find the Syndicate's hideout with the help of July) Shizu easily scaled the walls with a rope, occasionally stopping by the peek into the window. Most rooms were empty but there were some with movements which he avoided. "Where's Alexa?"

Jeffry pulled himself up to Shizu and asked, "Do youwant me to turn invisible and find out where she is?" He was worried. They Had to get Alexa. They needs her.

Shizu considered Jefry's suggestion and nodded his head slowly. "Sure," He said, sensing the anxiety in the other boy's voice. They needed Alexa.

Jeffry turned invisible and climbed in a window. He reloaded his gun and readied his weapons. He crept along quietly, but saw no one. They were all gone. "Shizu, they're all gone! There is no sign of them!" he whispered urgently into his earpiece. "I'll keep looking for Alexa." He continued looking.

"Where did he go now..." Shizu muttered under his breath, afraid that anytime, someone would appear out of nowhere and attack him.

Hei gripped Brynne's shoulders, bending down slightly because of their heigh difference. His lips brushed against hers lightly and he drew back, looking slightly flustered. "Just paying my obeisance," He said with a shrug.

~Where is Alexa? Is she in the fortress or with The Syndicate?~

~ Alexa's in one of the rooms of the Syndicate. She is being guarded by Mason and Mao. Let's wait for the others to post first okay? (Brightstar, Lightningstorm, Birdflight etc.)

~Ugh srry I've been sick for the past few days ~
Azura looked up and she was back by the windowsill. The battle flashed before her eyes. She didn't help at all but she felt no guilt either. She shrugged and started walking down the hall, the sound of her shoes echoed loudly. Azura froze hearing the sound of talking. She ducked behind a wall and closed her eyes and all of a sudden she was looking through the eyes of a small mouse. The mouse ran almost silently through the hall, ducking down occasionally then racing onwards. The mouse squeaked in shock coming face to face (Well I guess the mouse's face to feet) with an unknown boy. He had large guns and a headset on his head. Azura immediately was back to herself the mouse dissolving. Azura knew that the boy was an intruder, probably trying to get that captured M-16 girl. Azura swept into the room and said, "Guys, intruder. He's down to hall to right then take a left and go all the way down that hallway." Azura said.

Jeffry turned invisible and whispered into the headset, "Shizu, they've found me. I'm invisible so I'm free to search for Alexa, but make sure they don't she you." He crept quietly down the hall, his weapons ready.

"I'll come along. Gunshots may attract too much attention, and two heads are better than one," Shizu decided, looking slightly pale as he tried not to look down. He had a great weakness - heights. Maybe a few floors didn't matter but thirty or so floors was enough to make him tremble. "Let's get in," He whispered, jerking his chin towards an open window nearby. He swung into the window quickly, his eyes darting across the empty room nervously. No one. "Let's check the other doors down the hallway."
