Rue was hidden in the trees, watching silently. Suddenly a shadow flickered nearby and she threw a sharp rock at it. It was Cato.

Katniss writhed in pain, her wounds burned like fire and she couldn't help but moan in pain. Katniss writhed but shut her mouth and rocked herself back in fourth because of the pain.

Clove screamed. "Cato!!!!"

Katniss pushed herself to her feet at the scream and then she was shoving Rue behind her and whispering "Run Rue,I'll hold him off for as long as I can and that should give you enough time to get out of here Rue..." she yanked her bow out and pointed at CAto.

Rue nodded at Katniss, fleeing into the woods.

Cato winced and looked up to see Katniss stringing a bow. "Make sure you win, Clove." Cato whispered.

Clove couldn't stop the tears flowing. "No! Cato! Don't leave me!" She crouched beside her brother.

(He hasn't been hit yet XD)

KAtniss looked at them like they were crazy and she snorted " I haven't even shot you yet!" there was a dazed look in her eyes and the way she held herself made it clear she was injured. Katniss had a guarded look in her eyes and but yet there was pain, and then she leaped up into the branches and disapred.

(oh but he has!)

Cato smiled after Katniss. "I'm fine Clove." he whispered.

Katniss pulled herself into the higher branches, she couldn't kill Clove brother like that....it would be like Peeta killing Prim....Then she peeked down from the leaves and watched the two, envy raw in her eyes.

(Katniss is trying to kill you! DX )

(XD she's too in love with Cato for that lol jk)
Cato stood, helping Clove up too. "From now on, if we're in trouble and you can run away, run. Even if I can't, you run." he said.

~No, she likes him remember? Plus she couldn't kill him with you watching!~

Katniss though bitterly maybe if Peeta was still alive we could be a team.......I miss him... she looked down with envey brightly shining in her eyes.

Clove shook her head. "No! We're together! We always were!"

Katniss snorted and though Maybe I should of shot Clove, such a pain, always going for my face! then she leaped over them and landed in a near by branch.

"I know but still...if I don't live, I want you to." Cato said seriously.

"No! I won't let that happen!" With that her hand reached her dagger, ready to plunge it into her own chest.

Cato's eyes widened. "Clove, don't!" he yelled, yanking the dagger away from her by the blade. It cut his skin and made him bleed badly but he didn't care.

"Cato! Don't!" With all her might, Clove snatched the dagger and plunged it into the chest. Her body flared with agony and blood poured out profusely. Her vision blurred.

"CLOVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Cato screeched, catching her body before she fell. For the first time, hot tears streamed down his face. "Why did you do that, idiot!" he growled, sobbing uncontrolably.

Clove tried to murmur something but another sharp pang of agony flooded through her body. Blood bubbled from her lips. Tears flowed down her cheeks freely. Goodbye Cato, she thought. You have to win. For both of us.

Katniss heard the screeching camotion and she swung over and was over looking the two. "Clove.....why did you do it?" there was no triphump in her voice, or saddness just confusion. It broke her heart to see it, CAto was willing to give his life for her and she just killed herself for his sake....would I ever be able to die for Prim or GAle? Then pity pooled through her and she plucked a near by flower before she leaped down and gently took Clove's hand and wrapped the flower in her hand before she darted back into the tree watching, pity flowing through her.

Cato gritted his teeth and hugged his sister tightly. "Clove...you fool!" he growled, still sobbing.
