Cato stood among the crowd of people in District 2. His mind was elsewhere as his name was called. Being half shoved, half escorted to the front of the crowd, Cato finally broke away from his revery. He'd been chosen to kill people or be killed. Great. His brothers tightened their jaws and tried to comfort his sobbing mother. Cato smirked and folded his muscular arms across his broad chest. He checked to see if he had his father's sword. There it was, sitting in the dark brown hilt he kept it in. Cato sighed and wondered who the other tribute would be.

"For the girl tribute, it will be Rue!"

Rue's eyes widened in shock as she slowly made her way towards the front. She could hear her siblings and parents crying," NO! She's only twelve! Rue!"

Rue nimbly stood at the front, gazing down at her family members. "Don't worry, I'll make it out alive. I won't lose," she told them, her voice trembling.

Katniss stared horrifed as they herded her little sister Prim away, then she pushed her way through the crowed screaming "PRIM! PRIM!" Prim struggled to face her and she wailed "KATNISS! PLEASE DON'T LET THEM TAKE ME AWAY!" Then I cried "Please stop! She's only twelve! She won't last a day!" Then someting cold hit her and I pushed my through the crowd and I shoved Prim behind me before I cried "I shall take her place as a tribute!" Effile's eyes glowed with pleasure and then Prim shreiked "NOOOOOOO!!!!!!! PLEASE NO!" the guards couldn't get her to move and then GAle was behind her hugging her whispering in her ear and he lead her away. Then I walked onto the stage and as I was lead away with the other tribute and turned around and kissed three fingers and held them up before they took us away.

Never read these, so who doesn't get killed and who does? I know Glinmmer gets killed.

~Peeta is a guy and we have to have a "romance" so they crowd will favor us!~

~ Now the tributes are preparing for the Hunger Games ~

Rue grabbed her slingshot. It was given to her by her grandfather where they used to shoot at a tree. She passed the edible plants and berries test without even straining to identify them. After all, she had grown up in an agriculture district.

Katniss shoved an arrow into the bow and then released the arrow an the arrow flew into the center of the target. She quickly passed all of the test, including edible plants test thanks to life in district 12

Rue was distracted by Katniss's arrow shooting. She watched from behind enviously. She had gotten a 7 for her test when she appeared suddenly from behind the Game Masters, giving them the fright of their lives. Rue stifled a giggle.

Katniss stood up straight and then walked out of the room, her bow dangling from her arm

Rue caught a glimsp of Katniss face as she left gracefully. She too left the room. Tomorrow was the Hunger Games. Rue trembled nervously, gripping her slingshot tightly.

Katniss sighed and slumped down in the hallway and sobbed, she wasn't ready to die.Then she got angry then she stood up and gripped her bow tighly as she headed to her bedroom. She cried herself to sleep.

After about a few hours, Rue drifted off to an uneasy sleep.

Katniss awoke and couldn't sleep, she was nervous about the games. Then an idea struck her, I will run through a list of people......I.... Marvel,Glimmer,Cato,Clove,Foxface,Rue,Thresh,and Peeta...strange they sent a 12 year old into the games, I'm gonna keep an eye on her, get her out of trouble....then she driffted off to sleep.

Rue was dreaming in her sleep. Should I team up with Katniss? After all she's good with the bow and she would make a good ally...

Katniss streched, she was going to do hand-to-hand combat today before the games. The Gamemaker lunged and bounced out of the way and brought my fist gently down to his head and whispered "I win..." he snarled and leaped uoward, and ducted out of the way, moving gracefully. The Gamemaker was fighting angerily, that makes him an easy target! I rushed forward and slammed my fists against his chest and he flew backward to the wall and slummped down rasping "ALright...alright......Katniss you're dissmissed.." I walked out of the room to the dinning hall.

Cato had done well so far and was pumped up for the games. Hmm, that Katniss is pretty good. That little girl Rue could also come in handy...maybe if I teamed up with them, I could win. Then again, Clove IS my sister... he thought indecisvely. ( <<dunno if I spelled that right...)
