Cato raced after her, slashing the mutts on the land. "Stupid, you could've been killed!" he yelled.

Katniss was still floating yelled "Well it would of helped because only one of us wins!" then she shot at a mutt bounding through the waves.

"Then you should win! Leave and I'll kill them." he answered.

Katniss sighed and asked "Then what about Rue?" then she dived down beneath the surface and then apearded a second later, a shot a soggy bow at another mutt.

Cato thought for a moment. "I dunno. MAybe I could kill her...but she's so young..."

Katniss sighed and then said "well I'm sure as the skys blue that I won't kill a 12 year old!?!?!?!?!" Then she splashed to shore and growled " When will the Gamemakers do something??? I mean its not possible for three people to win is it?" she asked.

"We could go on strike or something...maybe threaten to kill ourselves?" Cato whispered thoughtfully.

Katniss sighed and whispered "They'd kill us....they'd never let people show so much rellbion! Maybe....they'd let two people win....but how? I can hardly bear to kill animals let alone people!"

Cato brought his sword to his throat. "I'll do what Clove did." he shrugged.

Katniss rolled over and rasped "Don't fo it, you promised CLove you would win, you woulldn't do that to her, I mean alll she wanted was to see her family but she made a scarifice so you could go home instead! I promised my little sister I would win and come home to save her from a life where people die every day, I mean I bet my own mother wouldn't save Prim!" she spat bitterly and then sighed " I would die if I could but then my family would starve to death, Gale can't provide for two familys plus he's old enough to work now...." then she sat up and sighed to Cato "If you're just gonna kill your self then why did you save me?" she asked and then began to wring out her dripping hair.

"I saved you...because... I couldn't bare the though of you dying..." Cato whispered.

Katniss was silent for a long momet and then she whispered "Then how do think I'd feel if you kill yourself?" then she began softly "I mean all my life is a challeng I mean I had to provide for my family when my father died and I was only ten....then all these horrible things happened like the reaping when they called Prim and......but then if I...if I lost you..." she trailed off and looked at the rosey sky in silence.

Cato blushed deeply. He then cleared his throat. "We have no choice but to either kill Rue or rebel so that all three of us can live." he said.

Katniss blinked and nodded briskly "Yeah....well I'm going to hunting..." she stood up and yanked out her arrows from the mutts and grabbed her bow before she trotted into the woods.

Cato sighed. He kicked the mutts' bodies into the lake in disgust.

Katniss stood still and sighed, the battle with the mutt's chased away all the food near here! Katniss kneeled to the ground and grabbed some etible plants and then sighed, how would this feed people?! Then she leaped into a tree and scurried up into the higher parts and looked around, her wounds still throbbed and bled.

Cato saw the mutt that looked like Clove and blinked away tears.

Katniss blinked her and though, the GAmemakers would kill them all! The sence where the mutt that looked like Peeta lunged for her and tore away thr necklace her gave her before latching on to her leg before she shot it right through the heart. It....Peeta was once a person now just a mutt! Those people were all humans before they died.....I guess I would kill myself and let CAto and Rue win.....she shuffled through her pack for her dagger but then she remembered how she killed a Glimmer mutt then lost her knife.

Cato ran after Katnss after he was done with the mutts. "Katniss, we've gotta go kill Rue now." he said.

Katniss looked down and sqeaked "Kill a 12 year old??But....but...she's so tiny and young!"

"It's either that or one of us dies." Cato shrugged. He didn't want to kill Rue either.

Katniss looked down and murmured "I could snare her and then hopefully she would die painlessly...." she climbed down and sighed "Fine! We'll kill RUe!"

"I'll make it as painless as possible." he promised.

"Ok, do you had a rope and wire???" Katniss asked quietly, she was going to snare Rue in the tree, then she would hang in the rope and she and Cato would finish her off.

Cato rummaged through his bag and pulled out the rope and wire.
