Solved Shadowstorm's Peril

Post by Guest June 29th 2011, 11:54

First topic message reminder :

[I was reading Halt's Peril the book and I came up with this RPG!]

Shadowstorm slid furtively through the undergrowth. He was far away from the clan area in a forest and plain area. He was sent by Icestar to pursue assassins that had nearly infiltrated the ShadowClan camp. Shadowstorm trudged along in the forest. He heard a crack and whirled around. He saw a cat and the world went black.

Shadowstorm had not returned to camp in a week.

[So SAVE ME!!!!!]

[To any clan out there other than shadowclan, you can be the helping clan or the clan that tries...to uh, eat me. No, dragonclaw, you can't eat me again .]

Solved Re: Shadowstorm's Peril

Lotus-star paced the room where WindClan was assigned to stay. She had allied with ThunderClan and IceClan to protect her Clan from destruction. But she felt that she was not at heart with her decision. However, her clan was most important above all. WindClan was not large and powerful like RiverClan or ShadowClan and she wanted the best for them. Lotus-star looked towards her medicine cat. The she-cat was troubled. The stars had not been shining for some time...

Blossomheart watched all the arguements with interest and impatience. "Why can't we just work out this on the way to the mountains?" she suggested.

"Lotus-star, I don't think we're doing the right thing. I have not received dreams from StarClan, and we cannot see the stars.... Shuriken said that they had seen stars before, but not now," Sagedapple's eyes were wide with fear.

Solved Re: Shadowstorm's Peril

Post by Honeystar July 16th 2011, 17:02

Hearing Blossomheart speak up, Honeytongue focused his mind back to the present situation.

"She's right! The longer we remain here, the closer Shadowstorm comes to joining StarClan! Quick Kali, go find Speckleback and Mangostep. Hazeldust, go tell CheeseStar we're now leaving. And if any of the Medicine-cats feel the need to bring extra herbs, tell them they're welcomed to putting it in the travel-bag. We should also gather extra fresh-kill and pieces of wood too. Blossomheart, send word to both Darkstar and Icestar. We can no longer wait for ShadowClan's Leader if we are to save her Mate and Deputy! Brightstar, if you feel that RiverClan is ready let us now head to the base of the mountains. The day is nearly spent, and we must be within IceClan's Territory by Sundown tomorrow!"

Meanwhile... at the IceClan fortress

Starclaw ran around outside. He hadn't seen snow before. His thick bushy coat was well suited to the icy terrain. He ran up a slope of snow. The mountain went higher and higher and the snow became thick. He felt the ice and heaviness of the frozen precipitation become unstable for a second. Having second thoughts about running up, Starclaw clambered back down again. "I'll go play in the yard," he thought. "If I don't exercise, I'll get fat."

Solved Re: Shadowstorm's Peril

Post by Hazeldust July 16th 2011, 17:32

Hazeldust had been doubtful that leaving tonight was a good idea-wouldn't it be better to rest up a bit before leaving?-but while she was sprinting alone, in the quiet forest towards her camp, she realized Honeytongue was right.

Leaving at night would give them the benefit of the darkness to hide in-and then they can rest during the day when it is warmer, then travel again during the night and reach the fortress during the night, or early morning. Then the smaller group can slip in and hide in a deserted room somewhere, waiting for the main group to gather their forces and attack, allowing confusion and the distraction they needed.

If it's possible, the main force should be hiding somewhere, so if there's a patrol they can knock them out first-so the main attack could also have the element of surprise, Hazeldust mused as she climbed up the tree. Though it would be doubtless IceClan and ThunderClan could watch from above, so the smaller group should enter at night when more cats are sleeping.

"CheeseStar-Hazeldust's breathing heavy. "I need to tell you something..."

~Wait, they poisoned Shadowstorm? I thought they just nearly clawed him apart and tossed him in a dungeon...~

"They poisoned him," said Sunfall quietly. "He doesn't have that long to live. The poison is from a special flower..." (look in the first few posts for more info on that Razz ).

"Are we ready?" asked Sunfall. "Do we have all the herbs and some food supplies? It's going to be mighty hard traveling. And also, just a suggestion, the surprise force should be whitish cats, as they will blend in with the snow. Maybe gray ones too as they look like rocks."

Blossomheart scooted out of camp and raced toward the WindClan border, where it met with FireClan's territory. Almost immediately, she saw a FireClan patrol. "Halt!" It was Emberheart. "What brings you, Blossomheart, to FireClan territory?" Blossomheart bounced to a stop. "We're ready to leave for the mountains!" she announced. Emberheart's eyes brightened. "Yes! I'll go get Darkstar and the battle patrol! We'll meet you at the base of the mountain! See you!" The patrol whipped around and streaked away.

Hazeldust bit her lip (wait, cats can do that, right? Bite their lip, I mean). Poison would set into Shadowstorm's bloodstream quickly, and that would be dangerous.

"But white or grey-pelted cats wouldn't really help inside the fortress. Speed, agility, and flexibility would be more important, wouldn't it?" Hazeldust asked, returning after telling CheeseStar.

Echosong gave Speckleback a big bundle of herbs. "Thanks," she meowed. "Most of the stuff in there is dock, good for sore pads, strengthening herbs, and herbs for battle wounds. I'd also like to pick extra herbs along the way." Echosong was worried that she wouldn't have enough herbs. But what if she carried to much? She'd look foolish.

"Wow!" said Speckleback, "That's a lot of different kind of herbs. If Patchleaf was here, she would want to exchange knowledge with you about the herbs we use at Lakshmi Valley. I guess she's sort of like our Medicine-cat. Thanks."

And with that done the little gray fox trotted over towards Honeytongue, Kali, and Mangostep who were talking to some of the Clan warriors.

"I think what Sunfall is trying to say Hazeldust," Honeytongue said to the AwesomeClan Deputy. "is that we should have a special 'scouting/ ambush' patrol made of white and gray pelted cats during our travel into IceClan territory and the main attack. Which I think is a very good idea."

"I got the herbs from Echosong." Speckleback yipped.

"Good, then we're all set now. Let's go, the fate of Shadowstorm and maybe the clans depends on us!"

Icewing approached the clans once more. He crouched on a low cliff. "Lousy job," he muttered. Icewing was the junior of IceClan's cats so he had been sent on the scouting expedition. He peered down and saw the clans. They were getting ready to leave. Icewing became excited. He wanted to see Monkeystar's plan.

(watershred, we didn't go out yet....)

CheeseStar stepped up. (quotation marks screwed again!) -Grey cats are great for camouflaging in the fortress, but white cats are good for outside protection. I say that the white cats should hide the grey cats until we reach the inside of the fortress. All other coloured cats will have to help build piles of snow for hiding. We set out when everybody's ready. AwesomeClan may proceed.-

~Okay, who wants to be in the sneak team and who wants to be in the huge attack force? It's hard to keep track. And, uh, Blizzard-are you saying you want to go with ShadowClan/RiverClan/AwesomeClan? Because you're in Thunderclan...with Monkeystar. scratch~

Hazeldust nodded at what Honeytongue had said. She still wanted to argue, that even a multicolored cat could hide in the shadows, and even if a grey cat could camoflauge, there would the the scent that would also give away an invisible cat, but she knew it would just take up time and they should start.

"I think we should get started. We're bound to stop for a rest-we can decide who's going in the attack force and the sneak team then," said Hazeldust.
