Skyclan's Annual Tree Race (All Clans.)

Running through the trees. Launching, dodging, and fighting. The life as a Skyclan cat is one of the best, and daring. There is only one way to become known in Skyclan, and that is through the Annual Tree Race. Everyone knows about it, from the newborn kits of the clans, to the oldest members of Starclan. It's talked about, and anticipated about. The moons leading up to it are tedious ones for Skyclan. They're preparing the race course, signing cats up, and creating obstacles. This year's course consists of beginning in the trees, traveling down Skyclan's mountain, and into the Twoleg village. Once there, cats will work their way along the rooftops, and back along toward the mountain again. They enter the forest in the pines, just along the border of Shadowclan. The trees are denser, making it harder to weave through the trees, but still possible. Heading back up the mountain, the trees thin out and soon they're racing across the ground. The air is cold up here, making it harder for the cats to breath. It snows, and prey is scarce. As they reach the top of the mountain, the other side is clear. The last stretch of the race is down the other side of the mountain, and back down to Skyclan's camp. This side of the mountain though, is the complete opposite of the winter side. The land is parch, with lesions through it. The mountain itself, turns out to be a volcano, and soon lava is spewing, burning the cat's beautiful pelts. If they make it past here, they'll enter the trees again, where prey is plentiful, and Skyclan's camp is in view. To win the Tree Race is an honor throughout the clans. Will your clan be the one to win? Or will you be like the rest, and lose? Join Skyclan's Annual Tree Race today!

Instead of racing individually, you'll be split up according to your clan. Please use your cat, not a RPG one, thank you.

If you don't feel like being a competitor, you can always work on my team as an ninja. If you decided to be a Ninja, your goal will be to stop a certain team. Each team will have 1-2 Ninjas. You can not be a Ninja for your clan. Ex. I'm Skyclan, which means I can't try to stop Skyclan.
Ninjas will be run by me, the Race Organizer/Main Assassin. If Ninjas have any questions, you may run them by me, but other than that, you may keep to yourself. If you sign up as a Ninja, there is no killing, seriously disabling a cat, or special powers. You're still a regular cat. If you'd like though, you may coat yourself in black.

Race Track Reminder- Start in the trees, at the Skyclan camp, and make way down to twoleg village, then head back up the mountain and into a blizzard, cross the mountain and enter the desert side of the mountain. Make your way down this side, and back into the trees and end up back at Skyclan's camp. About a week's worth of racing.

My Character-
Name- Hazelstar
Gender- She-cat
Ninja of what clan?- All the clans. (Main Assassin) I'm everywhere at once.
Personality- Deadly, swift, and skilled. She doesn't talk much, but attacks quickly and then gets out of the way.
Looks(Including Ninja Looks. Ex. Mud covered.)- Before the race started, Hazelstar had the Skyclan medicine cat create a red dye for her pelt. Her paws, and tail are stained red, along with a fake scar along her eye. The rest of her body is her usual majestic white coat.
Special Skills- Being the leader of Skyclan, Hazelstar is the swiftest throughout the trees. She attacks and leaves before her prey even know she was there. She can knock a cat to their paws in seconds. Hazelstar is sure to be an obstacle to look out for!

Brightstar yawned and sat up, stretching out her legs. Today was the race! She looked toward the sound of low voices and saw Hazelstar and Phantom. So far, they were the only three awake. She leaped to her paws and padded quietly over to the two.

Is a lean tom with white fur and brown blobs all over fur, has handsome blue eyes, a large brown fluffy tail, and has a furry chest.
Special skills- Is very good at leaping high, very fast (mother was from Windclan), is a great hunter, and is very great at fighting.

Feye walked up behind Phantom and an acrid scent flooded her nostrils. Than she realized it was just the SkyClan cats... and their prey. The sun broke into her gaze and sent dots dancing along her vision. It had been awhile since she had last left the Dark Forest. She hissed at the sky and cursed. "Curse the sun! I can't see a thing down here." She complained grumpily.

Streamfur stretched out and yawned. She had just woken up and was well rested and ready for the race. She had practiced her balance, so it would be hard for ninja's to knock her down and slow her down in the race. Streamfur spotted Brightstar and padded over to her. "Will we have any strategies for the race?" she whispered, out of earshot of the other cats.

((Are the dogs allowed to race? ))

Hazelstar nodded to the leaders. They stood in a small sandy clearing, just outside of the camp, yet out of the way of hearing of the other cats. Hazelstar casually unleashed her claws and drew a line in the sand, "I'll draw out the map. We start here," She made a thin circle in the sand, and drew a line away from it, "Then you'll head down to the twolegs village, where you'll head to your left. To make it more interesting, please enter the village, don't run along the outskirts. There'll be ninjas awaiting you if you don't enter the village." She drew the village as a large oval, before making an arch up and around the thin circle that made Skyclan, "You'll head up in the trees now, just along Shadowclan's border. Do not enter Shadowclan territory, just travel along the scent markers. Soon, you'll be climbing the mountain. It'll get cold. You'll have a hard time breathing. Get over it," She growls, smiling at the leaders, "You'll have to reach the peak of the mountain, then head back down into the desert area," She draws a final line with her claws that leads back down to the thin circle of Skyclan, "And you'll end the stretch back at Skyclan's camp. Easy enough, eh?" She tilts her head, looking for the reactions of the leaders.

Phantom dipped her head back at Hazelstar, and replied," I will attend. Excuse me." She turned away from her and laughed at Feye's comment. "You should come down to the living world more often," She chided. "Then you'll get used to the sun." And admire the beauty of the living world...

Aere gave Feye a sidelong look. "Your eyes'll adjust soon," she agreed. She was enjoying the fresh breeze herself, breathing in the clean scent of prey and dew. It had been a long time. "Have we got any strategies Phantom?" She asked, taking her eyes away from the forest outside.

( Btw, you're aware of the new rogue group right? Oh and RP in the Official RPG, Tainted )

"We could use our strength in numbers as an advantage and yet also a disadvantage. We might be slowed down though but we're the Dark Forest," Phantom mewed with a grin. She didn't really have to explain. It was part of the basic training that speed is important. She still recalled how the apprentices used to race to the end of the Place Of No Stars, right until StarClan's border, and back.

~ Hazel, what's SkyClan territory like? Is it mostly trees or something. ~

(The rogue group? I don't think so.)

Aere nodded, already seeing the picture. The Dark Forest cats had an advantage, pure and simple. They didn't need to stop to hunt or look for water to drink. Their moons of rigorous training were all paying off now. "Sounds good to me," she meowed.

Phoenixflare hissed in excitement. It was actually starting! She bunched her haunches and got ready to take off. She gazed around at the other cats. They were all ready to go! This was going to be awesome!

Shadowflare sat next to Hazelstar. He was a ninja of the Dark Forest, and he was ready for his job. He would try his hardest to win. He flicked his tail and narrowed his eyes at the Dark Forest cats.

( AwesomeClan and Dark Forest are planning to combine and form an elite rogue group after the ORPG. You could ask CheeseStar for details ^^ )

"Any strategies for the race? Fighting with the ninjas will slow us down," Phantom mewed. "We should try and avoid being spotted. That should be our main priority. The route seems okay to me. It'll probably take a day to finish the race but like Aere said, we don't need to rest or eat."

(Okay. It sounds interesting )

"Stay out of sight for as much as possible," Aere repeated, flicking an ear. "If the ninjas do get to us, one us drop behind and fight them off while the other two continue. And then they would catch up later. Saves time that way. We shouldn't run tightly together either. Maybe slightly apart so if one cat is caught we aren't all slowed down."

Phantom- Yeah pretty much. Dense trees with thick bark that's easy to climb around in. ^w^

Hazelstar dismissed the meeting with her tail, murmuring a quiet, "Good luck." Before turning back to the camp. She realized now that most of the cats were awake, had eaten, and were ready to go.
It was time to call them to the starting line.
Hazelstar walks to the clearing of the camp and turns toward the cats, "May I have your attention please? We'll be starting shortly. Come circle around me please, and I'll explain how we'll start this!"

~Since the DF and AC don't have a lot of members each, would it be okay to create an alliance between us? The new group might come out during this RPG, too, so it'd prevent some of our problems~

CheeseStar padded up to sit near Hazelstar. She was anxious, since competitions werent her forte. (Can the DF cats be seen? Also, do I know you as Phantom?) CheeseStar turned to the Dark Forest leader, who looked quite cunning herself. "Are you excited for the race? I'm a bit nervous," she admitted.

~What about the ninja meeting. o:~

Cheese- That'll work. And the ninjas for the two teams can combine then!

Bright- I'm holding that after the race starts, so they kind of a head start.

~Okay ~

Brightstar padded over to Hazelstar, and sat down, wrapping her tail around her paws politely. Her demeanor was calm, but adrenaline and excitement was pumping through her system right now, speeding up her heart rate and making her nervous. Refusing to let it show, she shuffled a little bit and relaxed.

Neverblue hung off at one side, waiting for the racers to get ready. After they'd gone, Hazelstar would give them their directions.

Bramblesky padded up to Hazelstar to listen. He stood beside one of the racers and his mate, Phoenixflare.
"I am nervous and quite scared," he admitted to her. Then he looked over at Hazelstar.

( okay Chez. don't make us lose D:< yeah, everyone knows me as Phantom I guess. DF cats can be seen )

"Oh and I forgot to inform you guys but we're teaming up with AwesomeClan," Phantom added as CheeseStar, Leader of AwesomeClan, approached her. She eyed the cheddar-coloured she-cat warily. What good was AwesomeClan to them?

"Thank you for your assistance," CheeseStar teased, playing along with the theme of "you're the sidekick." She was hoping their combined powers would give them an equal chance to win as the other Clans, since both had only a few members on each team. (Do the cats know there are ninjas?)

(Answering your question, yes they do, chez.)

Hazelstar nodded at the gathering of cats, "I'd like the teams to separate now," She pads to the far edge of the group, flicking her tail every time she mentions a name, walking in a straight line, creating the starting line, "Riverclan, here. Shadowclan, here. Skyclan, here. . ." She continues until, "Dark Forest and Awesomeclan here." Only a small remainder of cats were left. The Ninjas. My team. She thought silently. They were lean warriors, made for running. She addresses the racing teams again, "At the first peak of the rising sun above the tree tops, we shall start." It was a tradition for the sun to be the starting point. It was a two day competition, and the first team, if planned out right, should arrive at midnight on the second day. Hazelstar watched the sun carefully, and suddenly, the first ray of sunlight caught her pelt, blaring it into a silverish glow, "Go!" She yowls, slamming her paw onto the ground. She smiles, before turning to the Ninjas, "Follow me." She says, leading them into the camp again.

Mist scowled as she followed Hazelstar. At least I get to harm a clan. she thought. She padded behind Hazelstar, and thought of a plan. After, Mist grinned. Now she knew just how to stop ShadowClan.
