WindClan Apprentice Ceremony

~Ceremony officially over. All cats outside of WindClan may now come join in to welcome WindClan's 11 Apprentices!~

"Let all cats old enough to catch prey gather 'round." Honeystar yowled jubilantly in the Leaf-fall morning. "Today it gives me pleasure to welcome 11 new apprentices, who will one day become great WindClan warriors."

Silver and Shadowpaw went over to see the ceremony.

Kitty finshed her prey in one last gulp, then quickly cleaned her whiskers the hurried to see all 11 new apprentices!!!!!!

"Isnt this going to be fun?" Silver whispered to Kitkat (Kitty)

In the nursery Applefur licked her kits rapidly. "Mom... if you dont stop licking me I'll miss our ceremony!" Boltkit said. Stormkit Autumnkit and Leopardkit giggled. "Thank goodness Boltkit's last!" Leopardkit whispered to Autumnkit. The two kits snickered. Applefur pricked her ears as she heard Honeystar yowl for a clan meeting. She smiled. "Im so proud of all of you! I love you all very much!" She said licking each kit in turn. Her kits smiled. They raced outside and joined the other kits. Applefur sighed. There they go She thought. She was so proud of them. She walked out of the nursery and stood in her place next to Honeystar.

Honeystar watched as all four of Applefur's kits came rushing out of the nursery to join his six beautiful kits. Lotusflower was still trying to do some last minute washing on all of them. Pride, and tears of joy could be seen streaming from both parents' eyes. Sagedapple came out last with her precious Flamekit, who resembled so much like both his mother and father, Fireheart.

As the clan grew silent the kits sat in a line. Applefur fought the urge to run over to Stormkit for a little black fur stuck up.

"These kits have been with us for at lest six moons, and the time has finally arrived for all of them to be apprenticed." Honeystar mewed to his eldest son. "Maplekit, from this day forward you shall be known as Maplepaw."

Kitty sighed in longing If only i had a kit....... she thought wistfully, then she thoughtOh well, you need to be happy for Honeystar! His kits have earned this!!! and then she nodded to Silver " Yes, this little kits are six bundels of energy, and I can't beleive there six moons old already!"

Maplepaw's round green eyes brightened with joy as his father gave him his new name.
He and his litter-mates had wondered why Honeystar had put off their apprentice ceremony until after Applefur's kits had reached six moons old. But he was glad that they would all be together.
"Applefur," Honeystar turned to his Deputy. "Only recently have you been able to leave the Nursery, and return to your duties as a wonderful Deputy of WindClan. May your kits tread in your paws. Now, you will mentor Maplepaw. I have confidence that you will pass your knowledge, passion, and leadership to him."

Applefur stepped forward and touched noses with Maplepaw. She smiled warmly. "You can come sit with me where the deputy stands." She whispered. She winked.

Maplepaw purred quietly while puffing his white leaf-shaped chest out with pride, as he sat with his mentor and watched the rest of ceremony.

Applefur sat down next to her new apprentice. She watched as the other kits waited for their names to be called. She was proud of every single kit. She smiled.

Please oh please! Let me have an apprentice!! Oh Starclan please!!! Kitty thought, then purred her happieness to Applefur! Lucky little cat! she smiled at the thought, of helping trainin her apprentice with Applefur!

"Moonkit, until you receive your warrior name you will be known as Moonpaw." Then looking among the cats gathered around Honeystar called out. "Kitty. You shall be Moonpaw's Mentor. I'm sure the two of you will have a lot to teach and learn from each other."

Silver wondered if she would get an apprentice like Kitty did

Moonpaw touched noses with her appointed Mentor. She could sense tremendous joy coming from Kitty. She took a seat next to her as everyone else started cheering Maplepaw and Moonpaw's new names.

Applefur smiled and cheered with everyone else. She was extreamly proud and happy for all the kits.

"Moonpaw! Maplepaw!" Wolfkit yowled joyfully for his older siblings. At least I'll be next now.
Honeystar raised up a paw for silence. After all the cheering had died down, he continued with the ceremony.
"Wolfkit, from this day forward you shall be Wolfpaw. I ask StarClan to watch over you and guide you. Your mentor will be Sagedapple." Turning to the brown tabby she-cat he spoke, "Sagedapple, you have done many roles for WindClan. From Medicine Cat, to Warrior, Queen, and now Mentor. I hope you will pass down your kindness and patience onto Wolfpaw."
Sagedapple!! Why couldn't I get a 'real' warrior like Blackclaw or Boomerleap? Wolfkit thought to himself as both his blue and yellow eyes stared at his new mentor.

Applefur smiled and giggled. She leaned down to Maplepaw and whispered. "I wish Sagedapple good luck with Wolfpaw." She said smiling playfully.
