Broken Wings: A comic by Hawktalon, FINISHED! Epilogue UP!

First topic message reminder :

HI THERE! I'm Hawktalon,! You've probably seen me or at least have heard of me! I was here last year, with my other comic, Yin and Yang! Well, guess what! THIS IS THE SEQUEL!

Here are the clans:
It is set in mountianus territory. There are three mountains. The one in the middle is the tallest and it aslo serves as the Gathering place. These are the four clans:
MountainClan: Lives on top of the second tallest mountain.
Tundraclan: Lives below MountainClan's territory on a snowy plain
GlacierClan: Lives on a glacier below the smallest mountain
FrozenClan: Lives on a frozen river next to a waterfall that has been frozen solid for hundreds of years.

And here are the characters in order of appearance:
Stonethunder: Yangspirit and Thunderstripe's son. A white tom with three black stripes on his back and apple-green eyes.
Ariadne: White she cat with wings. She has purple eyes and golden bracelets with a purple diamond on them. Pronounced: Air-ee-AD-nee
Yangspirit: Stonethunder's mom. White she-cat with black head fur and a black spot on her left eye. She wears a yang-charm necklace and had three scars through her left eye.
Stormface: Blue-gray tom with gray and white markings. A helpless flirt.
Raintail: Stormface's sister. Gray she-cat with white markings.
Lavenderstar: MountainClan's leader. Lavender-colored she-cat.
Owlwing: Brown tom with red splotches and green eyes.
Rabbitpaw: Small, light brown she-cat with bright blue eyes. Owlwing's apprentice.
Yinsoul: Yangspirit's sister. Black she-cat with white head fur that covers her left eye. A white spot is on her right eye. She wears a yin-charm necklace.
Neko: Black winged she-cat with gray eyes and a white star on her head and chest.
Toivoa: White winged she-cat with dark and light gray markings. Wears a necklace with a aqua moon-charm on it. Violet eyes.
King Minos: King of the Winged Cats. White tom with black ear-tips, wings, and paws. Blue eyes. Wears a golden crown with a large blue diamond on it. His wings are broken and he can't fly.
Lupa: Silver winged cat with a white muzzle and a crescent moon shape on her head. Light violet eyes.
Queen Aurora: Gray she-cat with white wings and white paws and underbelly. She has green eyes and a golden crown with a large green diamond on it. She also wears a necklace with a green diamond charm.
Skye: Light gray tabby she-cat withh small white wings and clear blue eyes. She died from falling off the clouds.
Mockingbirdkit: Stonethunder and Ariadne's kit. White she-cat with dark grey wings, paws, ear-tips, and tail. One orange and one green eye.
Crowkit: Stonethunder and Ariadne's kit. Black tom with a white tail-tip and one white-tipped wing. Yellow eyes.
Ravenkit: Stonethunder and Ariadne's kit. Black she-cat with blue eyes

Thanks so much for reading Broken Wings! I really enjoyed writing and drawing this. And you guys even stayed through multiple deletions! I'll be leaving the Art Fourm for a while while I do my second fan-fic, but this is not the last you'll see of me! I'll be back after my fan-fic with the sequel of Broken Wings! It'll be called The Unforgiven! And if you wanna see me sooner, go on the fan-fic forum! My fic will be called Dream of the Stars! (These will ALL be on the other Warriors forums. So don't look for them here please)

And HEY! Who wants some BLOOPERS? These are some things that were originally going to be in the comic, but I decided not to put them in.

*Ariadne's name was originally Angel, but Angel was too plain for me, and then I saw the movie Inception, so I just took the name Ariadne from there.
*Minos' name was originally Zephyr. I changed it to go along with Ariadne's name.
*Skye wasn't an original character. She was just going to be part of Minos' backstory, and wasn't gonna appear in the comic, but I added her anyway.
*This comic has gone through multiple name changes. It was first Hawk's Stone, then Fallen Angel, and then Broken Wings.
*There was also going to be a whole other plot. Stuff with a meteor and an invisible cat and Stonethunder as an apprentice, but I trashed that idea.

Skye is Minos' childhood GF [sorta]. She dies in a flying accident. Hawktalon wrote a short story about it.

Who's Skye?!

Honeystar just said who she was two posts before you! Do you read the other posts? (at least, before you post?) Skye seems like one of those people who are like really perfect and meaningful to one of the main characters, then dies a tragic death hthat scars that person and causes the problem (like, she's gone, everyone misses her, the whole place changes into Doomland). like spottedleaf, except the Clan only missed her.

HEY GUYS! Who wants to know more! Well, here's Minos' backstory!


“Minos! Come on!”

A young Minos, who was a prince at the time, bounded after his friend. She was a light silver tabby she-cat with small, white wings and clear, blue eyes. Her name was Skye.

Skye and Minos had been best friends since kithood. Minos’ parents, the King and Queen allowed him to play with Skye only because she was the daughter of a royal guard.

The two both had their futures set out for them. Minos was to become King one day, and Skye was to follow in her father’s footsteps and become a royal guard. And that would have happened. If only fate hadn’t taken a turn for the worst.

Skye took the lead as she and Minos ran through the castle. The fluffy, white clouds bounced beneath their paws.

“You’ll never be able to catch me!” Skye called out.

“Get ready to eat those words!” Minos shouted playfully.

He spread his larger, black wings and beat them furiously, hoping to pick up speed. It worked.

Minos zoomed ahead and slammed into Skye.

“Ha!” Minos laughed. “I am victorious!”

“Hey!” Skye complained, “That’s not fair! You cheated! You used your wings!”

“You never said I couldn’t!” Minos adjusted his crown, which had become lopsided in his short flight.

“But that’s still not fair!” Skye protested. “My wings are too small, and I can’t fly as fast as you!”

“Well,” Minos started, “How ‘bout a rematch? No wings this time.”

“You promise?” Skye looked at him.

“Yeah.” Minos nodded, “I promise.

The two friends went down another corridor. At the end of the hall, there was no wall. The wall opened up to the sky.

“Are you sure you wanna race here?” Skye asked. “Your dad’s having construction done. The cloud wall’s still not up. We could fall.”

“I’m sure.” Minos reassured her. “We’ll stop just before the wall. It’ll be fine!”

“Okay then!” Skye meowed.

The two got in position.

“Ready…” Minos started, “Set…”

“GO!” Skye yelled.

“Hey! You got a head start!” Minos took off after her.

“You didn’t say I couldn’t!” Skye mewed in a singsong tone.

Minos laughed. He’d let it slide. He started to run faster.

“Hey, Skye!” Minos called out, “You might wanna slow down!”

“Why?” Skye looked back while still running, “You want me to loose?”

“No!” Minos yelled. “It’s the wall!”

“The what?” Skye started. Just as she turned her head, she saw it. Nothing. Just open sky.

“EEK!” Skye screamed as she plummeted over the edge.

“No!” Minos was still a little behind. Skye was already out of sight when he got to the edge.

“I have to save her!” Minos thought. “Skye’s wings aren’t strong enough to fly on her own!”
The young prince jumped over the edge after his friend.

At that time, the floating cloud Kingdom was stationed over a lush forest. It moved every once and a while. As Minos broke through the clouds, he saw greenery such as trees and bushes. He hadn’t seen those so close before.

“Minos!” Skye screamed. “Help!”

Skye was desperately trying to flap her wings, with no luck.

“I’m coming!” Minos tucked in his wings and dived faster. Finally, he grabbed Skye.

But it wasn’t over yet.

“Why are we still falling?” Skye cried.

“My wings!” Minos was in panic. “They won’t move!”

He looked at Skye, whose blue eyes were wide with fear.

“Skye,” Minos said, “I-I’m sorry.”

The two crashed through trees, and finally onto the ground.

“Urrgh…” Minos groaned. But then he gasped. His wings had no feeling. He landed on top of one, and the other was bent strangely.

“Skye?” Minos called weakly.

He looked around. Skye had been knocked further away. Her wings were ripped and she looked hurt.

“Skye!” Minos cried. He used his paws to inch toward his friend.

“Minos?” Skye’s voice was soft.

“Skye! You’re alive!” Minos was relieved. But his relief was short-lived.

“Minos, I- I don’t feel… anything.” Skye whispered.

“W-wh-what?” Minos gasped.

Minos tried to stand up, and did so, with much pain. His wings laid limp at his sides.

“Skye…I-I’ll save you.” Minos was almost to tears. “I’ll get you back to the castle.”

Skye was barely able to open her eyes to look up at him. “But…but your wings.” She stuttered. “You can’t fly. And I… I won’t… make it. Minos… I… you are… more than a friend to me…” she coughed violently and was still.

“Skye!” Minos nuzzled his friend. Her body had gone cold.

“No!” Minos wailed. He was in tears now. His best friend was gone. He could never get her back.

After a while, the King’s search party had found them both. Minos explained the whole story. As much as they tried, the healers of the Kingdom could not fix Minos’ wings. They healed, but didn’t set right. He could never fly again. But Minos was fine with that. He wouldn’t want to disgrace Skye. If she could never fly, neither would he.

When Minos became King, he met Aurora and they became mates. They raised Ariadne as their daughter. But Minos never truly loved Aurora. Not as much as he had loved Skye. But there was nothing he could do to bring her back.

NOTE: All Ga'Hoolians (such as myself) should know what happened to Minos when he was diving. If you are not a Ga'Hoolain, I'll explain. Minos was in a condition known as 'Yeep'. It is when wings seem to 'lock' in a steep dive. If you cannot get out of yeep soon enough, then you crash.

People kept asking who Skye was, so i just decided to post the story.

Skye reminds me of Spottedleaf, Feathertail and Half Moon so much.
