Shadowstorm's Rescue

The basic story outline so far....

Shadowstorm is captured and poisoned by Monkeystar. IceClan is allianced with ThunderClan. Monkeystar moves Shadowstorm to IceClan fortress. The remaining Clans are in distress. RiverClan, ShadowClan, AwesomeClan, and FireClan join up to save Shadowstorm. Monkeystar's plot is revealed! He wants to take over the entire forest and is starting by using poor Shadowstorm as a decoy. As Shadowstorm gets weaker and weaker, the Clans combine and prepare for rescue. A strange group of cats and animals arrives from a Distant Land. The RiverClan, AwesomeClan, ShadowClan, and FireClan alliance plans a daring rescue with the welcome strangers. The Allied Clans travel up the mountain. Meanwhile, WindClan has apparently allied with IceClan and ThunderClan! Lotus-star regrets her decision and does not like how Monkeystar is pushing her. She meets with Tobi the dog from ShadowClan and is planning to see him again. Meanwhile, the "good side" recruits wolves and other animals along the way to defeat the battle hardened IceClan members. What will happen in this final episode? Will Shadowstorm be saved? What will Lotus-star ultimately choose? Will the forest become under the rule of Monkeystar or will he be brought to justice? It begins here!

~Yeah, it's really hot here too! A new record for hottest day was set, I think.~

Hazeldust felt the determination radiating from Lotus-star as she turned around to leave. Honeytongue was staring at her with a peculiar expression that made Hazeldust's insides squirm with slight discomfort and look away.

"Wait," she called after Lotus-star. "Do you know how much time Shadowstorm has left? If there isn't much time left to plot a full, drawn-out plan, we'll just have to go with Honeytongue's idea-" and she quickly explained the 4-team kind-of plan Honeytongue had "-and the only things we need are surprise-and time."

Hazeldust was hoping on the day they attacked the IceClan fortress, WindClan cats could be on patrols to let the sneak team in safely without raising alarms, and give as much time possible for them. And not alert everyone when the scouting team went around-and distract ThunderClan and IceClan when the attack force came. And as a surprise-WindClan could suddenly turn around on them.

It wasn't a perfect plan, but it was an idea Hazeldust had.

~Hey, now that Honeytongue's the WindClan deputy, it's kind of weird. What if while we're fighting like mad kitties or something, or maybe after the fight while we turn out victorious...hopefully, Lotus-star could name Honeytongue as the new deputy? just a thought.~

Icestar shook the snow from her fur. She would camoflauge well here. "I could lead the attack/distraction patrol, since I would blend in with the snow." Icestar volunteered. "And since Shadowstorm is my deputy and mate... I want to save him." Icestar began to visually trace a path up the mountain. They would have to change ways constantly to prevent being detected by any incoming or outcoming cats from the Iceclan camp.

Honeytongue felt like he had just awoken from a dream as he walked through the snow, with Lotus-star by his side. He still couldn't believe what happened earlier. It was all so sudden; one minute he was a Loner asking if he could join her, next thing he found himself as Deputy of WindClan! But the more he thought about (and the more he kept looking at his newly adopted clan Leader), he realized this was how he was going to able to save Shadowstorm (and learn more about Monkeystar's plans). It all made sense now; the prophecy, Padma's last words, this was his destiny. Despite feeling cold on the outside, he felt as warm as if he were back in Lakshmi Valley. He began to softly purr.

Sagedapple wrote:Sagedapple shrugged. "Okay." She tugged the leaf packet from the root, she added, "Nice catch." Sagedapple trotted back to the small clearing and carefully unwrapped the packet. She tugged out the stems, roots, leaves, and flowers , and arranged them on a flat rock to dry. "Mouse-dung," she muttered as she tore a leaf.

~Wow. Our seperate RPG is getting long. Maybe a little too long. Why don't we just hurry back? What do you think, Fireheart?~!

Fireheart was amused. He shook his head and was starting to eat his share of the fresh-kill.

~Sure, if you think so. I don't mind what we do ~

~Okay. We'll just finish your huge catch and we can "teleport" back home!~

Sagedapple padded over to him and picked out a vole. "Never ate this before," she commented.

~YEAH TELEPORTING! ~

Fireheart was surprised. "Really? Its not that hard to catch and its good too," he said.

Hazeldust watched Honeytongue curiously. He had taken a walk with Lotus-star while the rest of the cats waited. Hazeldust was still pondering whether she should be on the scouting team or the backup team when they returned and announced Honeytongue was now WindClan's new deputy.

Now his expression was of one who suddenly woke up from a dream and remembered something pleasant, and was now purring quietly. Hazeldust looked at him dubiously. "So-uh, are we settled on a plan or something?" she said bluntly. The other cats would be setting off now, and they would be missed.

Interrupted by the AwesomeClan Deputy's blunt remarks (and looking dubiously at him), Honeytongue re-focused his mind.

"We should stick to the original plan, but with some changes made due to the opportunities we now have before us."

Hazeldust looked thoughtful. She wondered if it was too much to ask of WindClan if they could intercept ThunderClan and IceClan when they found out that the rescue team had come-after all, ThunderClan and IceClan had strength in numbers.

"Icestar!" Brightstar purred as she saw Icestar. ~Yay! You're back again!~

Brightstar blinked at Honeytongue. "Okay. I think we should wait a while now that Lotus-star has agreed to spy for us. We should gather more information and plan our invasion more carefully so there'll be less chance of messing up. What do you think?"

~Im back for another, like, 5 days. Haha.~
"Good idea, Brightstar. Although, if Shadowstorm is hurt, its better to reach him sooner than later." Icestar mewed. Hearing a rustling in the snow, she dropped into a hunter's crouch and staked up on something hiding in the snow. With a leap, she pinned the bird and delivered a killing bite to the neck. She carried the bird back to Brightstar and dropped it at her paws. "You look hungry. Eat." She said.

Brightstar shook her head. "You look hungry too," she pointed out. "Let's share." Eyes sparkling, she added, "I don't think you'd care for some fish either, would you?"

Icestar replied, "In this cold, we all need to eat what we can to keep our strength up." Icestar crinkled her nose a little at the prospect of eating fish, but it was better than nothing. Sighing, she bent over the bird and took a few small bites, leaving the rest for Brightstar,

Brightstar eyed Icestar carefully. "You know what," she declared. "You eat all of that bird. Don't you dare argue with me. You were just sick (which is kinda true) and you need all your strength to stay healthy. I'll just catch another trout."

Sagedapple shrugged. "We eat rabbit and squirrel and birds. The occasional mouse. But no voles." She paused and added," well, not yet for me." She bent down and took a bite of the vole. "Not bad."

Fireheart grinned. "Well at least you are trying new things" he replied.

~hahaha, i just realized that. im on mobile and i tried fixing it and the internet froze on my phone so i had to start it up again but ill fix it now~

Sagedapple grinned too. "Maybe you should try fish. And maybe you should try eating snow," she added.

Icestar sighed, but obeyed Brightstar's orders. She would catch at least three more pieces of prey to catch up for it, though!

Fireheart purred. "Heh, that would be interesting to try one day," he added.

Sagedapple nudged him. "You can try it now. There's plenty of snow! It can be a nice appetizer for your squirrel!"

Fireheart felt hesitant. "Is it safe?" he asked feeling scared a bit.

Sagedapple sat back on her haunches, staring at Fireheart with a mock puzzled look. "Come on, Fireheart! It's basically water. If you want, I'll eat some too!" she teased.

Fireheart knew it was, he just wanted to amuse her. "Ha, dont worry, ill try it." he said
