Shadowstorm's Rescue

The basic story outline so far....

Shadowstorm is captured and poisoned by Monkeystar. IceClan is allianced with ThunderClan. Monkeystar moves Shadowstorm to IceClan fortress. The remaining Clans are in distress. RiverClan, ShadowClan, AwesomeClan, and FireClan join up to save Shadowstorm. Monkeystar's plot is revealed! He wants to take over the entire forest and is starting by using poor Shadowstorm as a decoy. As Shadowstorm gets weaker and weaker, the Clans combine and prepare for rescue. A strange group of cats and animals arrives from a Distant Land. The RiverClan, AwesomeClan, ShadowClan, and FireClan alliance plans a daring rescue with the welcome strangers. The Allied Clans travel up the mountain. Meanwhile, WindClan has apparently allied with IceClan and ThunderClan! Lotus-star regrets her decision and does not like how Monkeystar is pushing her. She meets with Tobi the dog from ShadowClan and is planning to see him again. Meanwhile, the "good side" recruits wolves and other animals along the way to defeat the battle hardened IceClan members. What will happen in this final episode? Will Shadowstorm be saved? What will Lotus-star ultimately choose? Will the forest become under the rule of Monkeystar or will he be brought to justice? It begins here!

OOC: -Sagedapple I don't like the way you said that. There's no reason to be rude. What's the point of roleplay if we all forsee what the other players are doing? That takes the fun out of it.

Skyeye sat a little away from the camp. She wanted to be alone right now, escpically after her tunnel turned out to be a disaster.

Brightstar grumbled continuously. "We should mover somewhere else," she muttered. "All the wind on the mountain seems to be blowing right here at this hill."

~Sagedapple and Skyeye-don't argue I wanted to get a little beaten up. Makes it more interesting ~

Hazeldust didn't know if Shuriken saw her. He was still at a distance, but she was sure it was him. He most likely found where their camp was, and now he would know how close they were from attacking, and he could now prepare his own warriors. They had lost the element of surprise. Pressing down against the snow, she wondered what she would do. She was in no state to fight-especially because Shuriken had reinforced claws.

~*shrug* Almost all ThunderClan and IceClan members foresee EVERYTHING we do. If we don't do it either, we'll just get all killed or beaten. You should go to tell Monkeystar, Shuriken, and Pain that.~

"Hey who's that cat over there?" Said Mangostep, pointing towards the direction where Shuriken was.

Stopping their battle training, Kali and Speckleback turned to see the stranger from a distance. Hazeldust was pressing herself down in the snow.

"It must be one of those cats from ThunderClan or IceClan!" Kali realized. "He must have followed the others coming back from the tunnel, and now has discovered our camp!"

"Should we warn Madhu?" asked Speckleback.

"There's no time, we need to stop him before he gets back to the fortress! Grab some weapons quick. If he's armed with Shark teeth claws, then we'll have to match him with our forged steel blades!"

Armed with an assortment of weapons, Kali (with a Tabar battle-axe, and two Katar punching daggers), Speckleback (a Kusarigama [a sickle-like weapon with a long chain and an iron weight at the other end], a pair of Sai forks, plus a blowgun and more 'black eggs'), and Mangostep (Twin Hook swords and a wooden staff) rushed off to surround the strange cat from escaping.

"Stay where you are!" Kali warned, adding a Leopard cough-roar to emphasis it, as she pulled out her Tabar. "Surrender yourself now, or else... prepare to cross paths with the Warriors of Lakshmi Valley!"

~Oooh, weaponry! ~

Hazeldust had been pondering what to do, when she heard sounds of practice fighting. Honeytongue's friends, Hazeldust realized with a start. They came over the hill, looking especially frightening, armed with strange silver weapons.

"Surrender yourself now, or else...prepare to cros pats with the Warriors of Lakshi Valley!" Kali declared. Hazeldust pressed even further against the ground. She would watch how Shuriken would react, how strong each side was, and then decide to join the fight or bring reinforcements. And if all else was not an option, she would have to yowl,bringing help from her friends but also more enemies.

I don't think Shuriken's Shark Teeth will do him any good in this fight [he he he ]~

"So do you think you can do it?" Honeytongue asked Lotus-star, after explaining his plan to her and the others.
Suddenly the cough-roar of a Leopard could be heard like thunder echoing in the air.

"Kali!" Instantly Honeytongue hurried back to where he had left his friends, with Lotus-star [~Sorry if I'm God modding here~] following right behind him.

When he got there, Honeytongue could see them surrounding what appeared to be Shuriken! Nearby was Hazeldust lying in the snow, who seemed to be watching (and maybe deciding what to do in) this intense confrontation. Turning to the weapons stash, he quickly grabbed two swords [a Dao sword that belonged to him, and a Jian sword that use to be Lotusmoon's), and without realizing it, gave the Jian to Lotus-star.

"Here Padma, take your sword!"

Despite looking both shocked and confused by the strange name Honeytongue had just called her, and the weapon he was presenting, Lotus-star willingly accepted it. Only after strapping his own sword on did Honeytongue realized what he had said and done.

Mousebrain! Why do I keep doing that, it's not like she knows how to even draw a sword anyways!

~Nice weaponry! It's funny to imagine cats playing with swords ~

Hazeldust drew a sigh of semi-relief. Honeytongue and Lotus-star came, with even more weapons, and they all outnumbered Shuriken five to one. She would slink back to the makeshift camp and bring her own group of warriors to bar Shuriken's way back to the fortress-this was finally a stroke of good luck. After ploundering through thick snow, she arrived gasping and caked with white.

"Hurry-follow me!"

Brightstar pricked her ears and hurried after Hazeldust. "what's up, Buddy?" (lol. I don't know why I said that)

~How come he gets that much?! his warrior points won't do for half of that! Even Monkeystar looks weak beside HIM~

~Oh-oh!~
Drawing out his Dao sword, Honeytongue called out;
"Shuriken, there's no use in fighting. You're outnumbered, out-ranged, and out armed!"

Shuriken frowned. That was true. Not that the number of cats mattered. The cats he faced now were armed. Shuriken frowned.

It were in any other situation, with no weapons, he would tear their lives apart. But these cats were armed. Pain hissed and assessed the situation.

[Dragonclaw, would I win if I faced them?]

Pain was asleep. He awoke. He yawned. He couldn't find Shuriken anywhere. Pain got bored. He returned to his bed and fell back asleep.

Shuriken hissed. He was no good here. There were simply too many people.

Shuriken charged forward torward Kali. As he got closer, he did the snake eye trick and flipped up a rock to where Mangostep was. But instead of coming into close range, he threw the shark's teeth. It zoomed torward Mangostep. The monkey had three choices. Dodge. Counter the teeth by striking. Or if he was stupid enough, stand there and die.

And for the mere seconds it took to decide what to do, Shuriken zoomed dodged the monkey and got past the ambush. Shuriken raced into the icy woods and ran toward the Fortress. He wasn't worried about meeting any other cats. They would not have weapons and they would be not match for him.

He stopped and turned around. He looked straight at Honeytongue, eyes narrowed. "The war is not over. We will fight another day." Shuriken whipped around and became a shadow in the woods.

Honeytongue watched as Shuriken zipped past Kali and threw the Shark teeth at Mangostep! Luckly Mangostep dogded the attack with only a few teeth scrapping his shoulder and tail. Before heading back to the fortress, the IceClan Leader turned to face Honeytongue, his eye pupils narrowed black slivers in balls of fire.

"The War is not over. We will fight another day." And with that disappeared.

Honeytongue stared at the spot where Shuriken had been.
This is my duty as WindClan Deputy and my destiny to save Shadowstorm. StarClan, if I should die that day, then let me die the way as a Warrior should. Protecting my Clan, my friends, and my love! Let me find the strength and courage to face my awaiting fate with no fear. For my spirit shall simply pass onto a new life in a better world. Like water, always changing, always flowing, yet always remaining the same. Watch over us StarClan. I am ready.

"When that day comes, we will". he growled.

"So that was Shuriken, Leader of IceClan." said Kali as she too stared in the same direction. "The name fits him perfectly."

"Next time we go into battle," said Mangostep as he covered his now bleeding shoulder with his hand. "remind me to bring along some Chakrams to throw with!"

~Wait, I was bringing a group of warriors as backup! ~

Hazeldust hurriedly told Brightstar what happened, and then brought several warriors to circle around the area to block Shuriken from leaving. But when she arrived, she saw that Shuriken was gone and Honeytongue's companion, Mangostep, had a wound in his shoulder.

Hazeldust let out an exasperated, hissing breath. She had not been fast enough. "What happened?" she asked Honeytongue briefly. It looked like nothing much happened-Honeytongue and his friends were still in the same places she had left them.

~"Eye of the Tiger"~

"Shuriken escaped," Honeytongue replied with an expression of grim anger,"in a way I had only seen done back home."
He explained to the AwesomeClan Deputy how Shuriken used his shark teeth as throwing weapons.
"I think, if we hadn't been so well armed...he could have killed all of us easily! Shuriken is both powerful in combat as a wolverine, and clever in tactics as a jackal."

Hazeldust decided not to ask what a jackal was, because it was irrelevant, but dug her claws deep into the snow until they reached frozen soil in frustration.

"When are we going to attack? The only way now to get into the fortress is to start the battle, and sneak in during the chaos. There has to be a way that the other cats get in and out," she grumbled.

"We still have one option." Honeytongue pointed out. "We can use the Firestar to create an avalanche. That will both distract the enemy, and allow us a way to get in."
