Shadowstorm's Rescue

The basic story outline so far....

Shadowstorm is captured and poisoned by Monkeystar. IceClan is allianced with ThunderClan. Monkeystar moves Shadowstorm to IceClan fortress. The remaining Clans are in distress. RiverClan, ShadowClan, AwesomeClan, and FireClan join up to save Shadowstorm. Monkeystar's plot is revealed! He wants to take over the entire forest and is starting by using poor Shadowstorm as a decoy. As Shadowstorm gets weaker and weaker, the Clans combine and prepare for rescue. A strange group of cats and animals arrives from a Distant Land. The RiverClan, AwesomeClan, ShadowClan, and FireClan alliance plans a daring rescue with the welcome strangers. The Allied Clans travel up the mountain. Meanwhile, WindClan has apparently allied with IceClan and ThunderClan! Lotus-star regrets her decision and does not like how Monkeystar is pushing her. She meets with Tobi the dog from ShadowClan and is planning to see him again. Meanwhile, the "good side" recruits wolves and other animals along the way to defeat the battle hardened IceClan members. What will happen in this final episode? Will Shadowstorm be saved? What will Lotus-star ultimately choose? Will the forest become under the rule of Monkeystar or will he be brought to justice? It begins here!

~Nightfrost, you're back! Anyways, you're supposed to join in groups of 3-4, so all your attack power combined is equal to one of an IceClan cat's. And there's only like 5 IceClan warriors, the rest being ThunderClan. Also, we have Honeytongue and his friends with wicked weapons and I think some wolves... And oh yeah, you're not 13 yet. Edit or hide your age.~

Hazeldust recoiled at Skyeye's sudden ferocity, but she supposed she couldn't be blamed. Skyeye probably spent the entire night making the entrance freeze over, and her idea of climbing wasn't a bad idea. "Skyeye-that's a good idea!" she told the other warrior. "But we have to decide which cats will be entering the fortress-so we can be a little more organized. Time is running out." She squinted against the cold air. "I think Honeytongue and Lotus-star are coming back," she announced.

"I'll be one to climb." Skyeye declared. "It's my clan that's trapped in there, and I know where the ice is."

"I like you idea," mewed Lotus-star. "But since Monkeystar just slid and bashed his furry face on the ice, do you think they'll fall for the trap? It's such a large castle..." Lotus-star's voice trailed off. "Oh no! There's another problem. The castle's size! Even we WindClan have not seen half of the castle! What are we going to do? We don't have the time to go in and search! IceClan and ThunderClan has full advantage inside because they know all the ways inside, including all the secret passages. We won't even know where they're keeping Shadowstorm."

Lotus-star's distress was clear in her voice.

Hazeldust refused to be afraid of ThunderClan and IceClan. "IceClan will probably be doing most of the fighting," she said, "And hopefully some ThunderClan cats will be still in the fortress. She-cats, queens. Apprentices. Probably not all of them were willing to do this, but they had to follow Monkeystar. When they hear the avalanche and the fighting, they'll probably be distracted and try to find a way out-we'll just have to ask them if they know. And gain their trust." Hazeldust didn't know if it would work. But it was the only idea she had.

"As for the ice-it covers the main entrance. The fortress probably has other passageways leading outside, but they probably take longer and are narrower-it'll hopefully slow them down. Their other option is to jump out of a window," she finished.

Sagedapple skidded to a stop and stared at Lotus-star. "Maybe we should stay," she suggested uneasily. "That way we could scout a little, then leave." She glanced down the dark passages of the massive castle. "Or else it'll be almost pointless for the other Clans to come and try to fight."

Skyeye stared in disgust at her leader. "Lotus-star, get a grip! How will WindClan react when they see their own leader crying like a lost kit, wailing that this is all a lost cause? I'd rather see all of us dead then running into the trees like a bunch of cowards! It doesn't matter if we win or lose this battle; if we die knowing we did everything we could to save our clan, then so be it!"

At first, Honeytongue was about to give Skyeye a fierce look, and a deep warning growl, for disrespecting Lotus-star like that! But then realized how right she was.

"I agree with you Skyeye. This is what being a Clan warrior is all about. We will get into the fortress, we will try to save Shadowstorm, and we will face our enemies, no matter the outcome!" Then tuning back to look at Lotus-star he added, "But I think our best chance of finding out where Shadowstorm is actually being held, is to capture someone from ThunderClan or IceClan who would know."

~Wait, where are we? I'm confused. Inside the fortress or outside where our semi-camp-thing is? Because I thought WindClan already got out of the fortress...and met up with us. ~

Hazeldust stood there awkwardly as Skyeye snapped at her leader. "Well, I'll send my apprentice to go see if any other cats want to volunteer to go as the sneak team other than you, Brightstar, and Icestar," she mumbled, nudging Briarpaw who had been sitting nearby to her paws. "Ideally with pale or dark fur," she muttered.

Desertclaw yawned. He had awoken to some quarreling. He crept out of his room. Shuriken and Pain were already and up and looking at the commotion.

Desertclaw looked at Shuriken. "Let's stop them!" he said in glee.

Lotus-star whipped around at Skyeye. "I'm not crying you mouse-brain!" she hissed. "It's no use for us to waste our lives! We are not strong enough to face them alone! Are you saying I shall risk my Clan for my honor? Never!" Lotus-star suddenly shifted. She heard something from high above. There was movement!

"Oh no. I think we've been discovered..."

Ozone had gotten up during the night to use the dirt place. He had been about to return to his room when he heard "Lotus-star, get a grip!" He suddenly went towards the noise. "Oh ho!" he said to himself. "Looks like WindClan is trying to escape."

He vaguely sense a dark presence high above in the darkness of the castle. Probably Pain as usual, though Ozone.

Mistbreeze stirred. Pricking her ears, she thought she heard something. Mistbreeze let out a snort and wrapped her tail over her ears, going back to sleep.

~Wait, I thought we were outside! What is happening?! I don't even know how I got inside the fortress. ~

Hazeldust groaned. "Well, if we're discovered, we need to hurry and get out of here before more IceClan cats come to investigate. And in that case..." she trailed off, looking thoughtful-thinking of a gruesome ending of their lives. Briarpaw nudged her from behind. "Anyways," she shook herself, "we have to get out of here." Slipping down the hole to the passageway behind the last of the WindClan cats, she started to run. What else could they do?

~So, we all escape and such. Assumably IceClan will come after us. Maybe the actual action-y stuff will happen soon!~

((Wait, we were outside!! How did IceClan hear us?? Whatever.))
Startled, Icestar jumped and raced for a passage that looked no bigger than a tail-length. Squeezing through, she found it got wider as she advanced through. Confident no one would be able to follow her, or know where she went, she emerged into a large passageway, with a few paths branching off.
Shadowstorm, here I come
The whole area was silent. Icestar walked in the first passage she saw, convinced IceClan was using reverse psychology. She eventually came into a stale cave that seemed to not have been used for a while. Sighing, she emerged from the cave.
Where are you, Shadowstorm?

~Wait, Icestar-you're inside the fortress now, right? While the rest of us are running outside...I'll come follow you. ~

Hazeldust burst into a land f snow, which momentarily blinded her. Skidding to a halt, she shook her head a few times and looked around. WindClan was nearly at their makeshift camp-a smudge of grey-brown against the snow that soon disappeared over the hill. She turned to see the other cats emerge from the passageway. Except one.

"Where's Icestar?" she asked, turning circles. Briarpaw shrugged, flicking snow off her black-tinted fur. The other cats didn't offer any answers. Hazeldust took a deep breath. "I'm going back-she was my former leader. I'll take Briarpaw with me." "But we'll be shredded to crowfood if we go back in there," the small gold-black cat remarked, pointing with her tail. Hazeldust sighed. "We'll have to go back to camp and tell everyone-our attack begins now."

Brightstar dragged her freshly-caught trout onto the bank, next to her rabbit. "Hey, Frostleaf, you can share this with Ripplepaw. I'll take the rabbit to share with Icestar." Frostleaf nodded, and dragged the trout away. Brightstar plowed up the bank and looked around the mass of cats. Where was Icestar?

Sprinting with blank determination the only emotion she felt, Hazeldust finally reached the makeshift cat. "Uh," Hazeldust paused, not knowing how to get everyone's attention. Briarpaw let out a piercing whistle through her teeth-causing everyone to turn their heads and watch. "Thanks," Hazeldust muttered.

"Anyways-we got WindClan out," she started hesitantly. "But IceClan kind of figured we were there, but we still escaped. Problem was-one cat was missing." She swallowed. "Icestar." She paused again as stricken silence ensued. "So I think we need to launch our attack now," she said firmly. "Before IceClan can find her and poison her as well. Hopefully they didn't find her yet-all the more reason to start our plan now."

Lotus-star whipped around at Skyeye. "I'm not crying you mouse-brain!" she hissed. "It's no use for us to waste our lives! We are not strong enough to face them alone! Are you saying I shall risk my Clan for my honor? Never!" Lotus-star suddenly shifted. She heard something from high above. There was movement!

"Oh no. I think we've been discovered..."

Skyeye curled her lip, her anger to swollen for her to swallow.
"You hear my words, but not my heart, Lotus star. If you want to run off like a kittypet, that's fine by me, but remember that while your hiding in your little twoleg nest of cowardess, us honurable warriors will actullay try and save Shadowstorm." Skyeye felt like the whole world was lifted from her neck by venting her anger, so she leaned closer toward Lotus star.
"You don't want to sacrifice your life for your clan, when the Warrior Code itself says to do so when needed? You make me sick. You don't deserve to lead WindClan."
Skyeye knew that warriors never dared to say such disrespectful things to their leader, but if they weren't allowed to speak their heart, then why speak at all?
Skyeye turned her back on Lotus star and faced Hazeldust.
"I'll help you rescue Icestar. It's bad enough that we got one warrior in their, and now a clan leader."
