Dancing Flames
First topic message reminder :
Hey so I hope you like this story!!! KK!
The greenleaf is harsh, and water is quickly disappearing. Will ThunderClan be able to make it in this hot and humid season?
The air was heavy and weighed down on Ivyshine's fur, making it hard to focus on her prey. She was dehydrated and this made her extremely tired. The fat rabbit she was stalking was tired too, which made it slightly easier, but the dry grass under her paws was hot and crackly, so she had to focus on being stealthy. Wiggling her haunches, she pounced clumsily and landed on the rabbit. She killed it swiftly, and the rush at actually catching something in a time when it was nearly impossible revived her for a moment, then she remembered that this would go straight to the elders, who seemed to suddenly need to scarf down all the food that there was in the ThunderClan camp. She scowled and dragged the heavy, limp body of the furry rabbit back to camp. That night, she slept in unease, the sharp pangs of hunger waking her in the middle of terrifying dreams of fire that danced, of a forest burnt to ashes.

No, I just don't like receiving a clutter of emails. Did you get to the part where Sadie says Neckbutt instead of Nekhbet?

Re: Dancing Flames
"Ivyshine? Ivyshine!" She saw that Jayfeather was standing next to her, his brilliant blue eyes hazed as he focused on something in the distance; and that her best friend Dawnflower was desperately calling her, screeching right next to her ear, but she wasn't responding; she seemed dead. Lifeless. She wanted to scream. Why wouldn't she wake up? And how was it that she could see herself laying limp on the ground? How could she be somehow detached from her body? Ivyshine walked over to her body and nudged herself with her nose. Dawnflower looked up, thinking that she was waking up. But she looked through Ivyshine's detached self with confusion. It was as if she couldn't see her standing right in front of her! "Dawnflower!" She yelled into her friend's face, but the only reaction she got was a confused, slightly blank look. It was as if she could only feel a slight rush of air that resulted from someone bellowing in your face.
"They can't see, touch, or hear you, Ivyshine," a voice spoke from behind her. She spun, seeing the speaker--a fluffy black cat with bright eyes: one a cool blue, and the other a startlingly vivid green.
“W-who are you?” she asked, embarrassed when her voice quavered.
“Come,” was all the starry-furred she-cat said. With a flick of her tail, she spun, bounding impossibly swiftly out of the medicine cat den and towards the exit of the camp.
Cross that this mysterious, aloof cat thought that she was one to be pushed around, she stole one last glance at the scene around her that she couldn’t be a part of. Then she took off, hurtling faster than she’d ever run before, the colors streaming around her, mist curling up at her feet. Wait—what? Then she saw the faces—starry faces of people she’d known, but lost, forming solidly in the mist. Their paws thudded on the cracked ground with hers, smiling and encouraging her to follow the ebony cat. Hearing the voices she had missed for so long, Ivyshine felt a surge of strength. Her silvery-grey pelt blew through the wall of fog, dispelling the faces. The no-named she-cat sat calmly, observing the thick fog and tilting her head. Ivyshine skidded to a stop, scraping her soft pads.
“You’ll want some marigold and honey on that as a poultice,” she said, amiably, as if they hadn’t just run the combined length of ShadowClan and ThunderClan’s camps because of her.
“You-you are impossible! What’s your name?”
“Shadow. I am the founder of ShadowClan, and also the first leader of the same.” Then Shadow leaned in, her face tight with worry. “The drought is fierce because of how the clans are drifting apart. Too many cats are sick to come to full moon gatherings. This is shunning the warrior code in that they are not placing their trust in StarClan.”
“For good reason!” Ivyshine found herself retorting. “To show us that we should trust you, you starve us with drought! How much more do you think our faith can stand? It isn’t right to punish someone with what they were hoping not to get and then expect them to trust you to revive us? We stopped gathering because we all know that the same famine is happening in all the clans. We took matters into our own paws because we knew that StarClan wasn’t planning on helping. We need to survive. And in order to do that, we have to abandon the fatal, empty trust we’d placed in you for so many generations. Because to even have the chance to pray to you, we have to be alive. " And with that, Ivyshine turned and ran, ignoring the multicolored stare that burned into the back of her head.

it was almost all from aspenfern. if you want more reputation, you just have to ask the right person and trade reps with them... it's different from before.

Re: Dancing Flames
i guess so. but reputation doesn't really matter. it's supposed to show how much the person is respected/liked, but having it all come from one person doesn't really count anymore.
