Dancing Flames

Hey so I hope you like this story!!! 
KK! 
The greenleaf is harsh, and water is quickly disappearing. Will ThunderClan be able to make it in this hot and humid season?
The air was heavy and weighed down on Ivyshine's fur, making it hard to focus on her prey. She was dehydrated and this made her extremely tired. The fat rabbit she was stalking was tired too, which made it slightly easier, but the dry grass under her paws was hot and crackly, so she had to focus on being stealthy. Wiggling her haunches, she pounced clumsily and landed on the rabbit. She killed it swiftly, and the rush at actually catching something in a time when it was nearly impossible revived her for a moment, then she remembered that this would go straight to the elders, who seemed to suddenly need to scarf down all the food that there was in the ThunderClan camp. She scowled and dragged the heavy, limp body of the furry rabbit back to camp. That night, she slept in unease, the sharp pangs of hunger waking her in the middle of terrifying dreams of fire that danced, of a forest burnt to ashes.

update it! but ivyshine doesn't really come on that much nowadays, right? but she recently came on. maybe she'll come on again sometime soon.

um... there really isn't much to say now is there? we have to wait until she comes on again... anyways, i'm going to have a busy week ahead! three major things over the course of five days!

yah sorry guys its just that i recently moved and i'm still setting up stuff around the house. plus, it's summer. i'm sleeping in!! kk i'm updating now....

Ivyshine, your summer break started already?
We still have 17 days left, not counting weekends.
Anyways, great fanfic! I've got like 3 pages of my fanfic saved on my computer somewhere...only I scrapped it all because it was bad.

"Firestar? Firestar!" Ivyshine called to the clan leader's retreating figure as he headed to his den, slouching tiredly.
He lifted his bowed head. "Oh, Ivyshine," he said, sounding surprised that it wasn't one of the elders or queens--particularly Ferncloud--coming to complain. "What's wrong?"
It pained Ivyshine to hear him ask what was wrong, as if there wasn't any belief left in him that good tidings could come. Sadly, her news was something bad. "If you don't mind, could we talk alone, in your den?"
He nodded towards his dried-lichen-covered cave of sorts, and she fell into pace beside him. "Good job, by the way, catching that rabbit today. It was big enough for half of the elders to share." He purred rustily, his green eyes startlingly bright in the dried forest.
She dipped her head, uncomfortable in his praise. But then she thought, a rabbit that size should feed two apprentices, not three elders! "It wasn't much meat, though."
"Ivyshine, in a time like this, the smallest, scrawniest squirrel is a great help. Even though the elders may complain, they know, and they want us to know, that they're grateful for it. Now, what did you want to talk about?"
"I had a dream, last night. It was of the forest on fire. Then, there was nothing left. All I could see was ash, burning trees, and...b-bodies." She stuttered, her whole body shaking. "Charred fur stank up the air. The entire forest! Burnt! The streambed, i-it was dried so you could see the burned plants on the bottom."
"Ivyshine! Calm down, and tell me, what are you trying to say?" The leader's
"Firestar," she said calmly in a different voice than her own, almost as if in a trance, "what I'm saying, is that a fire's coming. What I'm saying, is that the end is near."
Her eyes closed, and she swayed, falling lifelessly to the ground.

OMG! I just now remembered its sumer break! lol! I have this summer off YAYZ (Well i dont always get summer off) and i was just about to take a boring test. YAY FOR SUMMER VACA.! My other lizard, Emerald, died 2 days ago so i got a new one. My mom named it: Trumpet!
