Webmaster's School for Shifters!

Hello there! We are currently in the middle of nowhere! Well, slightly. This place is called Burns, Texas. No regular human knows about it, only the not-so-rare shifter species. Now, I know you're thinking "Oh great, a school full of people who can shift into anything...how fudging original, Lighty..." Well, hold your horses, people and let me explain myself before you go ape armpit on me.

Webmaster is a huge school. The grounds take up two thirds of the city, the other part a seemingly deserted road surrounded by 'empty' forests on either side, just so those nosy humans don't find out about our little slice of heaven behind it. The school section is surrounded firstly by thick forests, dotted with a few manors for staff recreation and such. Next, is a tall wire fence, just so our students are safe and do not go wandering off and possibly find a human to give our secret to. After the fence- which...I think I mentioned is electrified?- is a thick and also tall brick wall for security purposes as well. We have learned from experience it's better safe rather than sorry.

The buildings inside all of that security are mainly either dorms, course buildings, or shops. Dorms are not separated by any criteria other than first come first serve reservations. Students and their parents choose where the student lives and what accommodations are needed. Of course, we can provide most anything, seeing as Webmaster is supported by the government very closely. In fact, our headmaster is vice president! Anyway, course buildings are large and hold up to ten classrooms in each. There is one for each base subject, another for additional courses such as art, Spanish, band, and the like, two for sport activities and PE, and another for shifting sessions to help get to know your inner shifter more. This course is required for all students.The shops are mostly recreational and for food, clothing, school supplies, etc.

As for the students, there is a large variety to them all. Unlike the shifters you are used to seeing, a majority can only shift into one animal. It is very rare to see a person who can shift into whatever they like.

Okay, now that you know of our school, I should explain some rules before giving the registration form. Here they are:

1. You can have up to 4 characters.
2. No perfect characters.
3. Only five characters can shift into anything they want.
4. None of the students are allowed to leave the school grounds.
5. Do not roleplay until accepted.
6. Fill out the form provided.
7. Have fun!

Shadow waltzed into shifting, a sleepy Ptolemy at his side. Dare trailed behind with a bored look and her headphones blaring Nickelback. Shadow turned and flopped his arm across her shoulders with a grin, tugging one bud out of her ear. "Ready to get whooped?" he asked mockingly, loud enough for everyone to hear. Dare snorted calmly. "The question is, my dear Shadow...are you ready to get your pride obliterated?" they both cackled and busted out laughing even harder when Ptolemy glared at them groggily.

Dare strolled out of shifter class, in her cat form and looking tired. She'd over exerted herself trying to best Shadow who had stayed behind to practice.

~wait I thought everyone just arrived at the shifting class... or are you speeding up time?~

~I was speeding it up lol since it was going nowhere, really. People can still stay ^-^ Also, any humans wanna run into Dare?~

~Dahra can. But what are the humans doing in the Webmaster's school exactly? Are they posing as students?~

~If they were posing as students wouldn't they get caught as they can't shift? They's just hold up a mask and be all, "Look at meh! I'm a dog! Woof!"~

Darcy snuck intimate the front door of the school and stood for a few seconds. "Remember what they told you, try to avoid conversations about shifting," she mumbled to herself before running into the school. As she ran she tried to skid to a halt but bumped into someone. (Anyone?)

Raleigh walked out if shifting class and walked to her locker, and struggled with it, but it wouldn't open. She gave up and walked up to her dorm. She took a brush out and started combing her white hair. She started singing songs and then stuck headphines in her ears and started listening to Evanescence.

Jay was turning round the corner when he crashed into someone. Swearing under his breath, he braced himself for questions to come when he glanced up only to see a familiar face. "Darcy!"

Dahra shouldered the backpack as she walked near the lockers on the side of the hallway. The crowd swept her along, preventing her from stopping for much longer than a few seconds. She met the gaze of a couple students who were walking along, and while she shuddered inwardly, she kept her features perfectly blank like another person. Are these people even human? she thought, her eyes sliding past a group of girls chattering by the water fountains. If Dahra hadn't been trained for this, she wouldn't be able to keep the revulsion from her face. But as it was, she was a master at hiding emotions, the result of years of practice.

Distracted, she peered at a teacher across the hall and almost lost her balance when a couple students accidentally bumped into her arm. "Sorry!" he yelled, but didn't stop or turn around to see if Dahra was alright. She stumbled, reaching out an arm instinctively to catch herself, but hit another girl on the arm instead. "Ugh," she muttered, righting herself just into time to avoid kicking the girl's guitar case. "Sorry 'bout that."

Dare yanked her guitar case from kicking range, having shifted back to her human form. Looking at the girl who'd basically fallen on her, she smiled. "It's fine, you okay?" Brushing her dark hair from her face she glared over the girl's shoulder at the people who had bumped into her and made her fall in the first place. "Hey! Watch where you're going, idiots! At least make sure if she's okay before walking off!" that was followed by a few curses to them before she sighed and calmed down. "People these days...so rude! I'm Dare by the way. What's your name?" she cracked an easy grin.

Shadow came up behind Dare and slung an arm over her shoulders casually. "Hey, kitty. Who's your new friend?" he drawled, looking at Dahra with curiosity in his chocolate eyes.

"Get off me, bird brain." Dare snapped jokingly and pushed his arm lightly away. "And I was just about to find out."

"Ouch. Bird brain, huh? How creative. I'm Parker by the way. They call me Shadow...for reasons." he grimaced. The nickname was for how closely he had clung to his brother, Alexander in Kindergarten days and it had sort of stuck.

Austin picked up his backpack and joined a group of people who looked about his age: two girls and a guy. "Hey guys, what's up?" he said. "I'm Austin." He winked creepily at Dare and Dahra.

Kim stumbled into shifting class. She fell to the floor when she entered, causing everyone to laugh. (That's not god-modding, right?) Kim and blushed sat down near the back, where only a few people sat. She nervously practiced shifting. Poor Kim couldn't ignore the fact that some people were still staring at her from her fall. Gosh, a slight mishap and you become the class celebrity, she thought.


~Can someone meet Kim awkwardly?~

"I'm fine, thanks." Dahra gave Dare a grateful smile and moved out of the way from another gaggle of students pushing past. I guess some of these people are nice, she thought, fidgeting nervously with the strap on her bag. "My name's Dahra. Nice to meet you guys," she added including Parker/Shadow in another grin. Her smile faded somewhat when her eyes rested on the weird guy who had barged in. "Hi," Dahra said halfheartedly.
