DF RP: The New Leaders

We'll start off the roleplay with Aere and I becoming Dark Forest Leaders. Some DF members who are part of a Clan will have to choose whether they want their old Clan's badge and rank or the DF badge and rank. PM Bot if you want to change your badge and rank.

As you guys roleplay, we need ideas for the following. Just name your thoughts together with your RP post!

- Significant places of the Dark Forest
- Name for the place where leaders give announcements

"Aere!" Phantom sprinted across the clearing towards the other she-cat, suddenly feeling as excited as an apprentice. "Congratulations, sister," She mewed, a purr rumbling in her throat softly.

Fell cocked her head to one side, considering the possibilities. "If it was a different kind of assessment," she mused, "I'd choose the log pile. Whoever gets the other to the top of the pile becomes a warrior. But if we're having boundaries..." The she-cat's golden eyes flicked back to Phantom. "Beside the Dark River, or the training rock."

"How about we have it right here?" Feral growled suddenly, ears twitching. "In the middle of camp where everyone can watch them. It'll either be a admirable victory or a shameful defeat."

Sunbeam closed his eyes and faded out of the Dark Forest, back to the land of the living...

"I can't see why not," Aere agreed, acknowledging Feral with a twitch of her ears. "It'll make them fight harder." She pointed to a relatively clear area of dirt with her tail. "That'd be a good spot as any." The she-cat leaped to her paws and marked out the boundaries with her claws, making them clear and obvious. Scraping the sticky mud of her claws, Aere nodded at Fell, meowing, "Your log pile idea is an interesting idea too. Perhaps we'll use that at a later date." The Dark Forest warrior dipped her head and said nothing.

~ I guess we'll fast forward the day Or it'll be just me and Aere RPing back and forth. ~

It was almost dusk and the Dark Forest warriors were getting restless. Dark lithe shapes prowled about the four corners, eyes gleaming with malice. Phantom had previously returned to the land of living as a spirit, patrolling the borders of every Clan to learn the sights and scents. It was quite a few moons since she saw the sunlight, uncomfortable under the warmth.

She was now waiting at the place where the living Dark Forest members would appear, wondering who would be the first. She was impatient for their arrival. There was going to be an assessment and a warrior ceremony ahead.

Sunbeam appeared padding out of the underbrush. "Hello, Phantom." He meowed respectfully. "When will Sunfire-paw and I have our assessment?" He asked his leader. He glanced around. He was one of the first clan cats.

Thin Air padded out as well. "Do you want to train?" She asked Sunbeam. She then looked at Phantom and meowed, "As long as that us okay with you, Phantom" she nodded respectfully to the dark forest leader.

"Sunbeampaw's got an assessment," Phantom replied bluntly, her impatience growing as she waited for Sunfirepaw to appear. Those who were smart, steered clear of her path, as she paced about restlessly, eyes narrowed.

Sunfire appeared through the mist. "I'm here." He kept his head up. He didn't want to show how bad of a mood he was in. He padded over to Phantom and meowed, "Sorry. I know there's no excuse for being late." Forestblaze meowed, "As long as your here. At least you weren't extremly late."

As quick as lightning, Phantom's claws scored across the apprentice's left cheek, leaving behind a long gash. Blood began to well up from the fresh wound but the Dark Forest leader was unfazed by the blood. This was the Dark Forest. A place without mercy.

"It's your final assessment and you're late," She hissed, sheathing her claws. "You'll have another scar if you're late next time!"

Lightningstorm saw the scene and let loose a viscous snarl. "Leave him be, Phantom! He wasn't late by much." Her golden eyes glared harshly at the leader's and without fear. It didn't matter what happened to her, what mattered was that Sunfire was bleeding because of this cat. And, no matter whom it was, it angered her when someone dared hurt a cat she loved.

Sparkpaw ducked away from her mother and closed her eyes to slowly fade back to WindClan for the first unting Patrol she couldcatch.

~It's already the next day Spark. ~

Aere flicked her tail, her gaze narrowing on Lightningstorm. "He was late for his assessment," she hissed. "Almost everyone is here already. If he wants to become a warrior, then he'll have to prove that he wants to! Coming late says he doesn't care." The she-cat approached the WindClan warrior slowly, matching her snarl. "This is the Dark Forest, if you haven't noticed. A little blood is nothing."

~Oh... ~

Sparkpaw looked at the two she-cats and hissed "Aere! I know you haven't always been like this! Now, get away from my mentor." she snarled. She was going to say my cousin, but she was sure Lightning didn't want to hear that after Burningpath's death.

Aere didn't look away, and answered coldly, "You don't know me, Sparkpaw. Be silent if you know what's good for you." She'd fully intended to just see that Lightningstorm had gotten the point that Phantom, a leader of the Dark Forest and also her sister, could do anything she saw fit. Aere was never going to hurt the warrior, but she was also getting angry now, annoyed by Sparkpaw's attempt to order her back.

"You were the medicine cat, Fernleaf." she hissed. She wasn't afraid to get a a cats bad side. Like Aere had said, a little blood doesn't matter. She growled and lashed a claw at the she cats, drawing blood from her hind leg. BWgin a former medicine cat Aere might use it for her benifit. Healign her own wounds.

Aere turned on Sparkpaw instantly, her long claws gouging a deep scratch on the apprentice's cheek. "Keep your claws to yourself, 'paw," she snarled, flipping Sparkpaw over onto her back. "Or you'll live in the Dark Forest with us.. forever. And my past is nothing to you!" She slammed Sparkpaw away from her, and turned her head towards Lightningstorm, daring her to make a move.

Sparkpaw lay on her side, her cheeck stinging like a thousand bees. her twisted paw was hurting like when it first got twisted. Her breathing was heavy, but Aere couldn;t make her be afraid.

"Well I can't do anything about it when my sister won't shut up! She wouldn't shut up about her pathetic love-life, and when you try to get away, she gets mad, so it's not my fault!" Sunfire snarled.

Forestblaze spat, "Phantom, quit. He was only a little late, not halfway through his assessment. If you do that again, I swear, I'll end you." Forestblaze glared at Phantom, her light green eyes filled with rage. Everyone knew Forestblaze was over-protective of her kits, like any mother should be. She unsheathed her claws, and you could see her muscles ripple through her ghostly body. The tall she-cat felt like clawing Phantom to pieces, but she stood her ground. She knew it could be risky.

Sunbeam watched the goings on with mild intrest. Sunfire-paw would be angry and disgruntled. That would work towards his advantage in the assessment. The two leaders were holding their own; they didn't need his help.

Sunfire hissed, "Mom, it's my fault though. I shouldn't blame Tigerlily for being late. I'll just work twice as hard to be a warrior. No more excuses. Consequences help you learn your mistakes, and being late wastes your time. I apologize, Phantom, Aere." Sunfire dipped his head with respect. He felt bad...

Lightningstorm gave a hiss of disapproval as she still glared at the leader, eyes narrowed and tail lashing.

~ Lightningstorm, make sure your posts have at least two lines and not just post for the sake of posting... I've warned you quite a few times and if you don't change, you're gonna get a point on your warning level. ~

Phantom held Forestblaze's gaze evenly. How dare she question her leader like this! Everyone knew that when she was angry, things could get really bad. "End me?" Her voice was dangerously soft as she circled the other she-cat slowly. "You think that you can end me? Don't forget that who was the one who brought you in, who even made you a high-ranked warrior. I can revoke your status anytime, let you become an apprentice again. Would you like that?"

Feral slammed a paw onto Forestblaze, forcing her onto the ground. No one could match his strength, especially when his only goal is to protect his leaders. "She's giving you a chance, something that Phantom rarely does. Take it or leave it," He murmured into her ear.

Sunbeam watched the confrontation from the shadows. If Forestblaze thought she could stand up to both Phantom and Feral, she was a fool. The hot wind whispered in the branches above. Sunbeam made his decision. He stalked out of the shadows and stood beside Phantom. He padded up to Feral and helped him hold Forestblaze to the ground.

Forestblaze got up and snarled to Phantom, "Who let me in? You weren't even leader at the time I came to the Dark Forest! Our old leader made me a high-ranked warrior. Not you! You were only made leader a few sunrises ago!" Forestblaze turned to Feral and hissed, "Watch who you're messing with anyways. There's nothing worse than an angry mother." Sunfire looked at her with a smile on his face. If they fought her, she'd have him on her side.
