Windclan RP

_{A continuation of the Journey Back Home rp and a way for Windclan members to rp their main character.}

Rules:

Don't get too off topic. This is why I made a new rp and closed the last one.
Follow all site rules.
Forbidden mate-ships are to be discussed with Honeystar, the leader, and not just formed for plot purposes.
Other clans are not allowed to participate unless this rule is changed in the future. Small comments here and there can slide.
Be realistic. Badgers are very rare, foxes are rare, dogs are extremely rare, and other predators don't just come up every 2 pages. Also, one cat can't take down a badger by him/herself unless they're Lionblaze. Bravery is nice, but it won't do anything for you if you're dead.
Drama is encouraged, but don't take it outside of the rp. Also, don't make it too intense.
If the rules are broken more than 3 times, that person, even if he/she is in Windclan, will not be able to rp for the rest of the rp or until I feel that they'll behave more appropriately the second time around.

Leaf-bare

As Greenleaf ends, prey starts to get scarcer and scarcer, but faster than most had expected. Greenleaf was good to Windclan, but eventually they will find themselves with a shortage of food. Soon, snow will cover the moor and freeze most of the small rivers in the territory. The sky is unusually dark, covered by grey clouds, and Windclan might face some of the worst frosts they've had in many moons.

Weather: Snowing. Starting to heavily snow.
Snow Level:Medium. Kits and apprentices might fall in, warriors will find it a bit harder to move around.
Prey: Scarce. Rabbits almost never found on the surface when not looking for food.
Clan Condition: Fresh kill pile is getting low, cats are having difficulty staying warm and moving around.
Other: Cats are catching colds and dens must be reinforced to keep them warm and empty of snow. Icicles are forming.

Note: If any cat gets wet, they must dry themselves off to avoid getting sick. Frostbite is also a possibility.

Other:

It is almost leaf bare, and pretty much every day will be cold and snowy. I will post the weather form time to time just to give you guys something to rp about... Time to freeze everyone to death.
Cats from other clans can ask to be in the rp at some point, but half of Riverclan can't be in Windclan. For example: If Baldpaw from Riverclan was caught at the border, he will be taken over to Windclan until Riverclan comes to get him (Until he leaves). He would stay and rp until he wanted to leave. For now, no other clan members I'll post when it's ok to ask.
The rp will change seasons every 10 pages. From now on, the first post will be the place to check for all news and things in the clan instead of randomly deciding when seasons come and go. It will be easier. Also, the first post will be updated every 5 pages or so unless something important happens, then it will be updated as soon as possible.

"Sunbeam?" Windystorm meowed, narrowing his eyes in confusion. Riverclan?He paused when he heard and felt Viper on his fur and nodded quickly. "I don't know what's going on, but Viper's just going to get worse at this rate. This is no time for... explanations." Windystorm looked over the other cats before starting to head towards Windclan camp, slowing down for Dawnstorm.

Sparkflame looked at her mother. "I know, but I love you even if you're an adoptive mother Viper, I had to make sure you weren't dead." She mewed. "I can help Windysotrm." Sparkflame told the tabby. She cringed. "But the kits don't agree." she mewed and limped to stand beside her friend.

Birdflight sighed, "I'll explain at camp, right now like Windystorm said, we need to get back to camp." She mewed. Turning to Sparkflame she mewed, "Would you like some help back to camp? You can lean on my shoulder if you'd like." She asked genuine worry shined in her eyes for the younger she cat.

Sparkflame glanced at Birdflight and quickly fell onto her shoulder. "Thank you Birdflight. But I'm still going to need some answers, don't think I'll forget." she mewed and her eyelids began to feel heavy with exhaustion.

Windystorm nodded and started heading back, nearing the camp. The snow crunched beneath his paws, giving him an uneasy feeling. Thank Starclan the snow isn't too deep this newleaf... He sighed at the thought. It was still early, and that could change at any moment. He didn't like the cold feeling of ice and snow on his paws though, and hunting in it was nearly impossible now unless they ambushed their prey. Windystorm slowed down a bit as they reached camp and stopped beside the medicine cat's den, giving Dawnstorm a grateful nod for helping. Slowly, he lowered Viper onto an empty nest and looked around for Sagedapple.

A freezing tear ran down Gingerpaw's cheek. She followed the others, still clenching the herb in her mouth. Oh I wish I knew everything about treating wounds like you, Spottedleaf. The apprentice had heard lots of the gifted medicine cat. She took a deep breath. There was so much to learn.....

Dawnstorm nodded to Windystorm and padded over to him. She nuzzled him for a small moment; not in any romantic way, though, just in general. She rubbed her face in his fur for a moment and backed up. "She'll be okay, Windystorm. We'll all be okay," she said quietly, and licked Viper. "It's okay," she whispered into Viper's ear, and licked her, backing up and sitting down next to her apprentice. She licked her apprentice behind the ears again and nuzzled her as well, very closely as if she was her own kit. "You are a gifted little kit, Gingerpaw," she whispered, looking at the young cat with warm, assuring golden eyes.

Staring up at her mentor, Gingerpaw felt as if she were her mother. Dawnstorm's words were comforting, like warm milk. Then the icy feeling Viper's situation crept back into her mind. Along with the many other thoughts swirling in her mind, Gingerpaw found herself thinkingnif Dawnstorm might adopt her. After all, Gingerpaw and Frostwhisper had no mother or father. Shaking the thought, Gingerpaw pressed more herbs to Viper's injuries.

Windystorm glanced down at Dawnstorm, flicking an ear. "I hope so." He meowed, puffing out a sigh. The air was so cold that his breath came out as fog. Any comforting act would be appreciated. Windclan needed the reassurance. "I'll start helping with the dens. The ones we have right now won't really help stop the snow from getting inside." He meowed, his face brightening as he smiled. I'll need some gorse... or brambles. Anything that keeps out the cold. Windystorm thought, standing up. He glanced at the gorse wall around the camp, searching for holes. Thankfully, there weren't any that were big enough to affect the safety of the clan, but he couldn't take any extra from the wall to fix the dens. "I'll need to go to the Thunderclan border for some stuf..."

Dawnstorm looked at Windystorm. "No, Windystorm, you don't need to. When I went hunting earlier I decided to stop by there before my hunting trip and bring some twigs just in case. They're next to the fresh-kill pile I believe," she purred gently, her comforting and calm words obviously warming the other cat's hearts. She turned back to her apprentice, who was pressing herbs down on the sleek black form of Viper. She was reading Gingerpaw's thoughts almost; she was thinking of adopting the kitten. She didn't know if she should yet, because she was her apprentice and generally blood-related kin don't mentor each other. Perhaps after she promotes to a warrior? She is so gifted she probably will be promoted quite soon, Dawnstorm thought, and she snapped to reality. She looked around the camp. Really she didn't need to worry about Viper, because it appears Gingerpaw, Dappleleaf, and Sagedapple would be able to handle that. There were no major den holes, so Windystorm probably didn't need any help. She looked over to Sparkflame and purred. She padded over and nuzzled her sister for a moment, after taking up Sparkflame and taking her to the nursery. She placed the queen on her moss bed and purred, looking at the peaceful young cat. Purring, Dawnstorm left the nursery quietly and headed back to Viper and Gingerpaw.

"Be careful! That fox still might be lurking around, and I certainly don't want another cat getting hurt!" Viper mewed, gently touching her paw to Windystorm's affectionately. Suddenly, she winced, and grit her teeth as the herb's healing juices trickled into her wound. Opening her eyes, Viper blinked away the slight bit of tears that had pricked her eyes when the herbs had been pressed on. "And if you do meet a Thunderclan patrol, try not to fight them. I won't be able to rescue you. But maybe some Thunderclan fur to line my nest would warm me up.." Viper said, laughing weakly, some of her normal lively spark returning to her green eyes.

Dawnstorm heard some of Viper's speech and sat next to Windystorm and Gingerpaw. "You didn't finish off the fox, Viper? You probably gave it quite a fright, then. I need some cats to go with me so we can scout and attack the fox if you didn't finish it off, Viper. I will not go alone, it that's what you worry about," Dawnstorm said slowly and calmly.

"Well...I took out one of it's eyes, and damaged it nose pretty bad. I don't think the fox will make it. But he ran off towards the Riverclan border. I say let those Fish-faced yellow bellies deal with him." Viper snorted in mock annoyance, poking her friend. Yawning, Viper revealed her smooth dagger-like canine teeth that gave her, her name. Viper then licked a paw, and began to scrub her whiskers.

Windystorm pricked his eyes, looking towards the fresh kill pile. "Twigs? I guess I'll do something with those before going... Just sticks won't help much." He meowed, padding over and picking up the pile of twigs. "I'll be back in time for the baiting patrol though." Windystorm meowed through the sticks, glancing down at Viper. His whiskers twitched slightly. "I'll be fine. I'm quick enough to run if I have to, though I'd doubt it." He reassured, grinning cockily before starting to place and stick twigs into the medicine cat's den.

"RiverClan? Aren't we lucky!" Dawnstorm giggled. "Let's let Brightstar handle him, then," she added. Brightstar she had met at gatherings, and was really her friend, but she knew she was only her friend in gatherings. But outside of that, Brightstar was another enemy. She pawed at her friends playfully. "But I still want a some cats to go with me and scare him off WindClan territory if he changed course," she purred a bit more firmly.

"Okay? You think we're going to be okay?! Cats are dying, my brother is about to freeze his limbs off, and we're being threatened by a fox! And you think we're going to be okay?!" Wintershadow raged, "We're being threatened by Twolegs with their dogs. I bet one of my siblings will be killed by one of those. And my life will become even more meaningless. No one has lost as much as me! I've lost almost EVERYTHING! Why won't it stop?!"

Tigerlily meowed, "Wintershadow, calm down. You have everyone in the clan with you. We all love you. You're the heart of our litter, Wintershadow. Don't let it die."

Dawnstorm padded over to the queen. "Wintershadow, I know your life was not peachy. But you must remember, none of our lives were any more peachier than yours! And you shouldn't blame me trying to CHEER UP the clan while your dragging it down! Just because your in peril, doesn't mean you have to drag everyone else down! Wintershadow, you have your clan as a family! If your other family's is going to die, why don't you start making FRIENDS in the clan?!" Dawnstorm raged. She sighed as it came out. She should of been like calm old Tigerlily and stayed calm. "Wintershadow, your life is not the only life in this world that's in peril at the moment. So please, can we try to cheer up the clan the best we can? They have problems of their own and need some cheering up," she added, purring loudly and putting her face next to hers reassuringly.

Dawnstorm went up to the cat and put her face to hers. "You can make new friends, Wintershadow. You just can't dwell on your other friends forever. I could be your friend. I suppose I am, because we care for the kits together most of the time," she purred quietly to the cat.

Sparkflame heard Wintershadow babbling and her ears pricked. "You've lost everything?" she challenged. "I lost my mother, father and my sister! My cousin doesn't approve my existence and my little sister ran away!" she raged. All the feeling she'd held in about Forestblaze's kits spilled out, they had more and more siblings to be with them and they were crying about losing their mother. "I'm the one who has no reason to live, I shouldn't be here. If I weren't carrying these kits, I'd probably storm out of her and jump in the river." She glared at both she-cats.

She knew she could tell the clan her brother he wishes Starclan wasn't real! "But you realize I've lost my mother, I've never met my real father, I've lost my brother, I might lose my other brother, and I lost my only friend. You see, I'd feel better if I had friends, but NOOOO, all of you take advantage of me. The only one I feel is a friend to me is Rainkit."

Moonblaze walked up to Wintershadow. "You're not without friends. Me and my sister do suffer as much as you do." She licked her paw and looked at her litter-mate "You should be in the nursery." She said as she nuzzled her younger sibling.

All the action and new faces startled Gingerpaw. Again she nuzzled Dawnstorm,closing her eyes. Gingerpaw drank in the scents of the camp,and immediately froze. Fox-scent was growing stronger."Dawnstorm its back!" She hissed. The question was, where was the fox?
