Windclan RP

Sagedapple stopped Ashpaw as he was running across the camp to fetch moss. "Have you seen Birdflight?" The dark gray apprentice winced at her sharp, reprimanding voice. "I t-think she went outside," he mumbled, looking down. The medicine cat frowned and shook her head. Her voice had sounded sharper than she'd intended. "I'm not angry," Sagedapple reassured him. Which was a lie. She was furious. What was Birdflight thinking, taking a walk outside with those wounds of hers? "Just needed to find her." She dismissed him and ran out of camp, the thorns in the tunnel nicking her ear in her haste. Sagedapple narrowed her eyes, searching the horizon. Two cat silhouettes were framed against the strong sunlight, and even though she couldn't see their faces or markings, she could tell one of them was Birdflight, by the way the cat favored her left leg slightly. Sagedapple trotted after them, her tail whipping from side to side in agitation. "Birdflight!"

Sparkpaw nuzzled Grasswhisker, "I'm sure after all coomotion has died down I'll be a warrior, and mabye-sooner or later- adding kits to the Clan?" She mewed, blushing and smiling at the tabby tom.

"Maybe." Grasswhisker purred, nuzzling his future mate. "Now, want to go back to camp? Or keep walking?"

~KEEP WALKING!!! THEY'LL HEAR FORESTBLAZE AND BE LIKE, "OH MAH GAWD!" ~

"No, I like walking with you." She purred. "By the way, have you seen your mother?" She asked. She padded with a questioning look on her face.

Birdflight jumped and whipped around to see a furious Sagedapple. Just my luck. She thought sighing. "I-Its Burningpath. There was another rogue attack. I'm sorry Sagedapple its just, I heard Lightningstorm and it killed me to stay inside camp and feel so useless. Lightningstorm could easily have been killed and Burningpath saved her life." She mewed her gaze flicking to Burningpath's cold, still body. "We need to stop these rogues." She growled quietly rage building up inside her burning like a flame. Birdflight dug her claws into the ground and turned back to Sagedapple smiling sheepishly.

"Alright, and no.. Why? Has she been gone a while?" Grasswhisker tilited his head, "Should we send out a patrol?" He looked worried. Oh! I know I should have kept an e- Wait... She and Eaglestrike are together... She must be visiting him...

Windystorm pricked his ears, wincing slightly as he heard the mourning cries of another cat. He recognized the voice as Lightningstorm and his eyes widened, hurrying over to figure out. What happened? Did the rogues come again? Is- Oh no... Windystorm's eyes glanced down towards a red tabby pelt. He didn't instantly recognize the cat, but when he saw more of the large tom, his face fell. Coming up slowly beside the other two cats, he touched his tail tip to his friend's shoulder to try and comfort her. "When... did he go?" Could I have saved him if I had just payed more attention to what was happening in camp? I promised that no other cat would be hurt while Windclan was in my paws... I've failed already. Slowly, anger started to overcome his sadness. I'll make whoever killed Burningpath pay with their lives... No one who lays a paw on my clan can get away with it easily, especially on my friends.

Lightningstorm flattened her ears to her skull. "A...a while ago....I think they called him Zeus....then another...I killed her..she's next to B...B" her jaw clenched as she tried not to sob. After a few moments of squeezing her wide golden eyes shut, Lightning reopened them and was icily calm. "Her name was Rain....his daughter. Zeus was most likely my uncle...." After another long lapse of silence, she stood straighter and looked boldly into every cat's eyes, determination in her now lightning-like ones. "I'll be back." She strode toward her dead family members with her nose to the ground, following a musky scent trail, tail lashing.

Gingerblaze ran over, confusion evident. "Err... What happened? Is Lighyningstorm okay?" She still remembered -faintly- the warrior, before she had left WindClan. I remember always thinking that shed become deputy... I'm surprised she's not. "Should we go after her?..."

Sparkpaw saw saw the little worried look on Grasswhsiker's face. "What's wrong?" She asked him kindly.

"Oh... I-It's nothing..." Then he heard a loud shriek of pain, and he whispered worridly, "Forestblaze! She's having her kits! We need to find her!" He sniffed around and meowed, "Towards the Windclan and Awesomeclan border!"

Sparkpaw followed her future mate to the wWindClan and AwesomeClan border to see what was wrong. "Forestblaze is mating with an AwesomeClan cat?' she panted as she rushed beside the tabby tom.

Sagedapple hissed, lashing her tail in frustration. Great StarClan, why was everything happening today? "Birdflight, go back to camp right now," the medicine cat ordered, calming herself by listing everything in order, the way she liked to do. "I'm sorry about Burningpath, and could you, Lightningstorm, bring him back to camp with Birdflight? We can properly mourn him as the sun sets..." She glanced behind her, frowning at the two figures already far ahead. "I'll have to get the right herbs and find Forestblaze right now." As soon as the words left her mouth, Sagedapple gave a quick nod of farewell and took off at a dead run back toward camp.

"Yes. Birdflight already knows though. And anyways, you can't stop the feeling of true love." he burst through the ferns to see Forestblaze on the ground, breathing in and out slowly. "Calm down, Mama." he meowed in a soothing voice.

Birdflight sighed and dipped her head to Sagedapple. Watching the she cat sprint away she turned to Lightningstorm. "Well... lets get back to camp." She mewed sadness in her golden eyes as her gaze flickered to Burningpath.

Lightningstorm returned reluctantly. "Okay." She mewed quietly, helping Birdflight hoist Burningpath up and out of the clearing. "I'll stay till near the end of the ceremony then leave....I need to find him." She mumbled distantly. Worry and determination filled her golden gaze.

(Time to bring back socks with sandals! :'D)

Sparkpaw walked past Lightningstorm carrying her grandfather "Wh- what happened?" she aske her mentor her gaze directed at the ginger tom's limp body. A dappled elder burst through the entrance and looked at Lightningstorm "WHAT IS GOING ON!?" she screeched. "Burningpath? Burningpath, wake up!" Brokenleaves pleaded.

Lightningstorm glared at her paws for a moment, tears stinging her eyes then finally looked at Brokenleaves and Sparkpaw sadly. "He was killed.....pretecting me from your son." A sharp harshness came to her voice once she mentioned her uncle. Shame clouded her gaze.

Grasswhisker looked at Brokenleaves sadly. "Oh no..." he whispered, "Burningpath..." Grasswhisker looked back at his mate, "Is dead." He looked down sadly. "They were mates..."

"Grasswhisker." Lightningstorm growled, her golden eye shifting to the tom. "I'll need your help with something after the burial ceremony." Her voice was dangerously calm as she spoke to her bestfriend. All warmth had been sapped from her eyes. All that reflected in those twin pools of honey was a broken, vengeful, lost warrior.

Grasswhisker saw the pain behind her eyes. It reminded him of someone... Forestblaze...? It all made sense to him now. They both have lost everything. All they have to make them feel good is the Dark Forest... He couldn't tell anyone, though. "Alright." he smiled, trying to act happy, but he was buried in thought.

Lightningstorm offered a half-hearted smirk in response and padded on into camp. After arriving in the middle of camp, the warrior set her uncle down carefully and buried her muzzle in his chilling fur. His scent was fading and made her heart ache.

Birdflight narrowed her eyes and felt some suspicion as she saw there was something... hidden behind those large golden eyes of Lightningstorm's. Especially when Grasswhisker was talking to her. I shouldn't be feeling such suspicion for my clanmate especially since she is one of my most trusted warriors but... I've seen that empty, pain-filled look before.
A light of memory flashed in her mind and she was in WindClan camp. Everything looked almost exactly the same until Hawkpaw, her deceased brother, padded up to her. "Birdpaw, I need to talk to you now!" He mewed. His eyes were probably one of the most horrific things she had ever seen in her life. There was the most incredibly dull, empty, sorrowful, and painful expression on his young face. She heard herself saying, "Hawkpaw... what's wrong? You must know you can tell me anything." Hawkpaw nodded. "I-I know. Just not here. There's too many cats." She nodded in understanding.
In another flash of light she was back from her memory. She looked back at Lightiningstorm with curiosity and anxiety. Hawkpaw never told me because right after we talked, we had the battle he died in... is what's troubling Lightningstorm the same thing that was troubling my brother? I know I would never forget that look...I've got to figure things out and try to protect my clanmates better! She thought.

Rockpaw padded towards the grouped cats, seeing that her mentor was worried about something. "What's wrong?" she asked. "Can I help?" Her mind flashed towards movement in the elders' den. Uh oh, Rockpaw knew who the cat coming from the den was. She's gonna get cranky with me, isn't she?
"Rockpaw, stop pestering the deputy!" It was her grandmother, Nightheart. "She's busy! Can't you tell? Plus, you should be grieving over a dead clanmate, not looking for trouble!"
"But Nightheart! I was just making sure that-"
"Don't back talk your elders!" Nightheart snapped, then turned to Brokenleaves. "It'll be okay. I've gone through worse, remember?" Rockpaw saw tears in the mostly black elder's eyes. "I've had to watch my family and some of my closest friends die in a war and I was forced to drive my remaining kit from camp. There's nothing worse than that. I'll always be there for you, like a friend."

~I'm sorry to say, I'm about to kill Forestblaze. I know, I know. So I will be leaving Windclan, since I'm dead, but I'll be in Windclan's hearts. Grasswhisker will find me.
Forestblaze walked back to camp behind Grasswhisker and Sparkflame. She went slower, and she got tackled. The rogue tom instantly sliced open her belly. She bled and bled, and yowled for help, but she fell limp, the life out of her eyes.

Grasswhisker heard a yowl. "I'll be back!" He ran into the forest and smelt rogue and... Forestblaze! He ran through some bushes to see Forestblaze's body. "N-N...NO!" he whimpered. He ran and nuzzled her cold fur. He cried as he dragged her into the camp. His siblings gasped. "MOM!" Tigerlily cried loudly. Wintershadow looked shocked, and Sunfire looked up and whispered, "See you beyond, mom. In the Place of No Stars."
