Shattered Hope: Sequel to LAD

The Life-Givers leader is dead. The group is in chaos, each blaming another for their failure in the battle. They are breaking up, each day heralding another empty room, another person's belongings missing. People are leaving, hoping to find a way to exact revenge on the Death-Bringers, to hide from the devastating aftermath of the battle, or simply to escape from the furious accusations hurled from person to person. But still some people remain in their stronghold.

The Death-Bringers are victorious in the battle. Few had died, and almost none of the injuries were fatal. The future seemed bright for the chaos-makers. But barely two days had passed since the war when their scouts got wind of strangers knocking on the Life-Givers' fortress's door. They all wore steel gray cloaks, armed with longbows and knives. Wolves accompanied them, a couple falcons perching on their shoulders. They were dangerous. Strange. Mysterious.

The Hunters tell the Life-Givers that they come from a far land. They had traveled far and wide, and their only response to their questions were that they had to leave their home land. Hoping the Hunters would provide the remaining Life-Givers a way to get their revenge, they offered to provide room and board for the weary travelers for as long as they wished. It as accepted. The longer the Life-Givers stayed around the Hunters, the more they could see the strange differences between the two groups. After all, every Hunter was immortal.

She is more friendly and trusting then her friends, although she is very observant and can come down harsh when the need arises.

Other: The sword Sala had used was actually Cadence's. It is one of the most valuable swords in the world, made with the best material. Cadence had been in the Life-Bringer's group a decade or so before, but she left mysteriously to join the Hunters. She had accidentally left her precious sword behind, and Sala had taken it up for her own.

(hunters) Olivia grabbed a piece of paper and thought about who to vote for. She chose Zephyra and quickly wrote down "Zephyra" on her paper. She folded it and handed it to Cadence. "I'm ready to go." she said as she called Swoop and Blaze back over to her.

(life givers) Cassandra was confused when someone said Jack was a candidate. She remembered him saying that he didn't want to be leader. Then she thought to herself that he must have automatically became a candidate because he was a training master. She decided to vote for Zephyra because Jack told her that he didn't want to be leader. After writing "Zephyra" in the best handwriting she could manage with her uninjured hand, she folded it up.

(Hunters, do I just make up the map and location? :O ) Riley let out her breath and exited, entering the woods and moving like a wraith through the dark shadows of menacing-looking trees. She shivered slightly,partly because of the chilly wind and partly because the trees looked like gnarled claws, waiting to grab the Hunter group. She could see that Eclipse's dark ears were flattened and her tail between her hind legs. Violet flew silently above them, nervous in the silence.

James ate dinner while watching Torra fly about, Catching bugs.

And Sunbeam, if your post doesn't have anything to do with the progression of the RPG, you don't have to post. In fact, people holding post unless they need to. It's happened more than once already, so I'm giving you a reminder~

(Hunters) Ryder hoped Zephyra would be chosen. Jack and Xurxo were good with their positions, and Zephyra seemed capable of most things, as she was a strong person. "Has everyone voted?" she asked, shaking the box.

(Hunters)- Cadence peeked into the box and shrugged. "Just about, if not completely," she said, riffling through the folded papers. As she tried to shuffle the papers into something that resembled a neat stack, she glimpsed a small smiley face on one of the squares. Cadence snorted softly and patted the still messy stack. "Anyone else?"

(Hunters) Olivia followed Riley through the forest, but neither Swoop, nor Blaze could be seen with her. She had sent Swoop to scout ahead, and the young falcoln was flying ahead, watching for other people of any sign of danger. If either of those things were spotted, Swoop would fly straight back to Olivia before they ran into any trouble.
Blaze was a little ahead, moving unseen through the shadows. If they ran into trouble, Blaze could suprise and attack any enemy to help protect the Hunters. Blaze would also smell the air for any unfarmiliar or dangerous scents so that if he smelled someone coming who Swoop didn't see, he could warn the Hunters. Olivia was nervous because this was her first mission, and because of the frightening claw-like trees that surrounded her. She always felt like someone was about to grab her from behind, but all she was when she turned away was another tree.

(Blaze-vison) Blaze stalked through the undergrown, using his smaller size to help him get through smaller places. The unfarmiliar forest was frightening, and he became nervous whenever he heard a small sound, or a new scent hit his nose. He hadn't encounter any dangerous scents yet. He felt alone, because he couldn't see the others but he knew they where there because he smelled them, but it seemed just as frightening as walking through the woods alone.

James flew above the forest, Torra at his side. he saw movement in the trees below.

~Sunbeam, you weren't invited, and the Hunters have silent movement skills that means they shouldn't be seen. Shouldn't James be at the fortress, voting? Also, I think the rules require at least 2 or 3 sentences per roleplay post. And CheeseStar warned you before not to post unless necessary. Please do not repeat it.~

(Death-Bringers)- Halt arranged his mottled cloak closer to his body, slipping the cowl over his head so his face was thrown in deep shadows. Grunting as a stick poked him in the side, he shifted again as he tugged his quiver of arrows into a more manageable position.

~who, me? O.o~

(Hunters) Riley moved along, blending comfortably into the eerie shadows. She paused tomake sure the others were following. She saw Olivia and Kiba sneaking behind her with the hunting animals, and gave a nod of approval when she saw Blaze scouting carefully. "Good, Olivia, we're almost there," she encouraged, the whisper no more than a breath. The reassurance would help her too. Riley was feeling claustrophobic and trapped in this dark, unknown forest. After a quick glance at the map, she stowed it in her pocket.

~Of course not. Did you really think I was talking to you? ~

Baylee limped out of her room looking tired and a bit ruffed up. Her leg had been nearly broken and currently was on the verge of spraining. However, she had gotten on the lucky side and wasnt dead. The girl had just taken a shower and didnt bother to dry her dripping wet locks. Her clothes consisted of one of Halt's shirts which was solid black and a pair of sweat pants. All Baylee wanted to do was sleep, but she couldn't. The horrible image of Jonah dying along with Lightning broke the girl's heart. Sure they were exes, but they were still friends! Seeing that had caused her much trauma. Her now dull, and sad gaze searched for Khalid only to remember he had died as well. Tear welled up in her large winter blue gaze, but she viciously scrubbed them away. Sure a lot was taken from her because of the war, but she still had Halt. A small, sad smile graced her lips. However, she leaned against the wall and let a few of those pesky tears slip for her fallen friends.

Titus sighed. He hated not being hurt after a battle. Well sure he had a gash on his jaw and side, but that was nothing compared to the others! At least a broken limb or something! Maybe he would have scars...somehow tge thought sent pride through him. Wounds meant he had fought hard. The battle was finally over. Maybe he could even let himsepf get closer to Madison.

(Death-Bringers)- Madison left the training area to go to Halt's office, she had shaken off some feelings in the practice battle, now Thorn trotted along behind her and she grabbed his collar, which he was now used to, and teleported to her favorite tree. The tree were she had admitted everything to Titus and spoke with...Hermione. She released Thorn's collar and signaled for him to follow, she looked back to see him trotting behind her. This was her favorite place, even if Hermione had died. It was her private place. She sat down and began to let a few loose tears fall for Hermione.

(Life-Givers)- Jack pulled away from Falatheil and said, "I have to go Falatheil, would you, uh, like to, um, Go on a, uh, date with me?" He stuttered the last part, being nervous, Jack may make a good leader type guy, but when it comes to asking girls out, He completely spaces out.

(Life-Givers) Zephyra counted the people in her head. "Yeah, I think that's all... Wait, has Falathiel voted? [forgot ]"

(Hunters) Riley stepped softly through the dark undergrowth, stopping at a roaring blue-black river. This is too big for us all to cross, she thought, and I don't even want to know how deep it is. But what if... "All right, this is the plan," she whispered. "I'm going to morph into a giant eagle and carry you one by one. The hunting birds can just fly, but I'll have to carry the wolves too. Olivia, you and Blaze first." Riley concentrated, and she could feel herself growing larger, sprouting feathers. Her vision sharpened as she watched the bronze - dark brown in the night - feathers coat her arms, which were transformed into wings. She held out a wing for Olivia.

~@[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]: ok so the Life-Givers are voting right now, and I think they're pretty much finishedcasting their votes except I forgot if Falathiel voted or not xD. The Hunter scouting group is in the woods on the way to the Death-Bringers, and they're at a river and Riley has turned into a giant eagle to carry them across one by one. The rest of the Hunters are in the living room with the Life-Givers.~

Olivia watched Riley change into a giant eagle. She whistled for Blaze to come back to the group of hunters. Blaze ran out from the shadows straight to Olivia's side. At first Blaze didn't realize the eagle was Riley, but he quickly reconized the hunter. Olivia grabbed Riley's wing and said to Blaze, "Riley is gonna carry us across, I'll wait for you on the other side." To Riley, she said, "Okay, I'm ready."

(Riley as an eagle xD) Riley nodded and took flight with a powerful beat of her wings. She gazed down at the torrent, glad that she didn't have to swim in it. The river was huge, and dangerous. Soon she reached the bank and held out her wing as a sort of slide. She could feel the strain already. Such a huge animal was a really hard form to hold, and Riley was shaking from the effort. Suddenly control slipped from her and she accidentally dropped Olivia and Blaze as she felt herself transforming back. "Sorry!" she gasped. "Are you okay?" I should have practiced that more! she chided herself.

~Accepted Gingy. ~

Halt sighed, his jaw clenching as another foot fell asleep. "Curse it," he muttered, and shifted, taking the weight off his right leg. Maybe his instincts were wrong. And tonight would just be like any other.

Destiny ran as fast as she could, arms flailing, blue eyes bright. As soon his messy brown hair came in sight, she launched into the air (jumped. just wanted to use a dramatic word :3) tackling Kiba against the floor. She smiled and yelped, "KIBAAA."

Kiba burst through, scruffy as usual. "Wait! Geez, would it kill ya to remember me for once?" He sniffed, climbing onto Riley and lifting Bai so that he could tag along. "I'm the only guy. It isn't that hard." He teased, glancing down at Riley.

Ike crossed his arms impatiently, waiting for the voting results.

~I said Riley was carrying them one at a time o.o and she just carried Olivia and Blaze and dropped them on the other side... but I guess I'll make her go back and get Kiba now ~

Riley changed back into the giant eagle and traveled back to the other bank, where she landed in front of Kiba, holding out a wing for him to climb onto. This time, it was easier because she'd already done it once.

Kiba waited, a faint scowl on his face. "Took you long enough," He growled, climbing on. Bai hopped onto the wing, barking to back up his owner. Kiba grumbled.

(hunters) Olivia and Blaze fell to the ground, but fortunatley, they landed in a patch of soft moss. "We're fine. We landed in the moss." Olivia said. She noticed something shiny in the moss. She picked it up and saw that it was a gold coin. It felt like there was something strange about it. "Hey look at this." she said to the other hunters.
