First topic message reminder :
shadowclan poem: Poem on Cheesefur:
Cheesefur's version! i like cheese
if you hear something under your bed, and i like this site
it's us, Shadowclan. i'll have a cookie please
we'll scratch your head cuz they're such a delight!
and you'll make a fuss, i am in shadowclan
but we can't be beaten, a clan of mystery
so just give up. and i like to use a frying pan
or we'll make sure your food is eaten, to make others history!
until the very last cup. i am Cheesefur!
the only cheesy cat
i move like a blur
and i'm awesome like that!

Re: Poems
this topic got old. o.O but i'm glad it's been revived.
soft pajamas are light,
i wear them at night,
when it's not so bright
it's really quite a site,
it won't increase my height,
but it's not such a fright
that my pajamas are tight
and that makes it a fight
and takes all my might
and i might have to bite
my pajamas to pull them on right.
but they're still all white
and light as a kite
there's fluff, just a slight
but even despite
the fact that i write
but do not recite
makes it hard to invite
and again reunite
myself.

Re: Poems
~I feel like writing something miserable. ~
Looking wistfully outside,
Summer wind like ocean tide,
Clouds buffet and sail through the sky,
While I'm in here, wanting to cry.
Robin's-egg-blue and downy white,
Golden sun and fairy light,
Soon dusk will come and set,
Feelings of loss make my eyes wet.
Trapped in here, in my prison,
Not knowing why or the reason,
So I wait jailed to this cell,
Only my own thoughts to dwell.
For outside, time goes on,
Sinking evening, rising dawn,
Days of warmth blow into fall,
I lose my chance, after all.
Free from this damp, dusty dark,
My heart breaks free, a singing lark,
Running, running far away,
Remnants of what I had to pay,
Gone.

Re: Poems
*shrug* I like writing sad stuff. Easier than romantic stuff.
Hallucinations
No one will believe
The strange things that I concieve,
I'm sure that I'm not mad,
The things I see are not bad.
Illusions show in sunlight,
Patterns woven by a kite,
Glimpses of future that I see,
But I have to hide them inside of me.
Feigning surprise when I have to,
I knew it before, yes it is true,
But who will trust my word?
More likely toss me in a ward.
I don't know what's happening,
Sometimes dull, others thrilling,
I'm not on drugs, not lying,
But they all say I'm hallucinating.

Re: Poems
A solitary rose in red attire
Condescended:
A fleeting glance –
She apprehended
My affections,
Turned away
From me, a stray –
Stubble weed;
Genes to build an oddity:
Common seed –
Happy-go-lucky entity
In dull array.
The rose glowered,
But in ascension
Slipped a view of blight
Upon her regal greenery:
Black spot!
In all her bold perfumery
And blushing flower,
The sheen of vulnerability in jet
Reminded me how snobbery
And haughty shower
Tarnish with an underlying debt!
She wavered in her shallow play –
Man-bred –
Hardiness foregone.
The rose no longer shone.

Re: Poems
Did you write that, Watershred? It was interesting.
Behind walls of false personality,
There lies a truth of fatality,
That blushing maiden you can see,
Soon will end, will not be.
Healthy flushing in her cheeks,
Fade away through the weeks,
Shining hair will dull and wilt,
Her cheery smile drag and tilt.
Oblivious to the pain outside,
In peace of mind that man resides,
The blooming rose in his heart,
Will be struck by Death's dart.
Wounds that will never heal,
Glistens with blood that will not appeal,
Man's heart of dull throbbing woe,
He cannot defeat his only foe.
Do not set your heart on nothing,
Anything that is not worth loving,
Wear your heart on your face,
A killing blow will take it's place.
(Wow this was pretty bad. And romancy.)

Re: Poems
me trying to write a serious poem:
The breeze floats through,
the curtains stained
nothing to do,
just lay here, pained.
time passing by,
people move on.
right before my eyes,
the glistening dawn.
another day,
still lonely, still cold.
nobody to say,
"you're worth all the gold."
i lay here, fading
nothing to hold me down
the shadows are shading,
my sorrowful frown.
i am gone like the wind, like a bird
it's not dusk nor dawn
there's not a single word
because i am gone.
The breeze floats through,
the curtains stained
nothing to do,
just lay here, pained.

Re: Poems
umm Me and my mom did hazeldust
I tried too hard
to be noticed,
I tried to be someone
I was not;
waiting and waiting
I watch time slowly tick away
as another day dawns
I watch the world scurry around;
I wanted to be someone,
I wanted to be famous,
I wanted life and
I wanted love;
I wanted a lot of things
that were out of reach
as I sink in slowly
under the weight of expectations;
I tried to be what they
wanted me to be,
I tried to be what I was
not meant to be;
I tried too hard
I pushed too far
and I went too far;
with a forced smile,
and a fake laughter
to cover my tracks
I escape into the shadows
and try to fight this one out,
all alone;
I tried too hard
to be noticed,
I tried to be someone
I was not;
waiting and waiting
I watch time slowly tick away
as another day dawns
I watch the world scurry around;

Re: Poems
The same stream of life that runs through my veins night and day
runs through the world and dances in rhythmic measures.
It is the same life that shoots in joy through the dust of the earth
in numberless blades of grass
and breaks into tumultuous waves of leaves and flowers.
It is the same life that is rocked in the ocean-cradle of birth
and of death, in ebb and in flow.
I feel my limbs are made glorious by the touch of this world of life.
And my pride is from the life-throb of ages dancing in my blood this moment.

Re: Poems
~ooh life poems. no one likes sweet treat poems? lol okay then let me change my style just this once~
round and round
Never-ending
always ground,
but always mending.
you can't stop
until it's through
like a spinning top,
it'll stop when it has to.
the wounds, only time can heal
the scars, only happiness can soften.
people are bitter, with their hearts of steel
because love comes not often,
the wheel that is life.

Re: Poems
I am walking through the forest,
The very lonely forest, all by myself,
No one to speak to, no one to touch,
I’m all alone feeling sad and betrayed.
I am walking past the dark, drowning shadows,
To the flowing river to face my death,
No one to speak to, no one to save me,
I’m all alone as I set forth to face my doom.
I take a breath of fresh air,
And enter a place so foreign to me,
No one to speak to, no one to fall on,
I’m all alone in a place I must call home.
The further I go, the clearer it becomes,
And the less I ache,
No one to speak to but myself,
That’s when I realized, ONLY I CAN SAVE MYSELF.
The very lonely forest, all by myself,
No one to speak to, no one to touch,
I’m all alone feeling sad and betrayed.
I am walking past the dark, drowning shadows,

Re: Poems
you know what? this isn't my type of poem.
wake up, lazy bones!
you've got to go to school.
don't just sleep while the the alarm clock drones,
or i'll dunk you in the pool.
i've rushed to make food,
breakfast is ham and eggs.
if you're in the right mood
then move your spaghetti legs!
you're still in bed?
that's such a fright!
there's learning ahead!
and you slept all night!
if you're not going to go,
i'll pick you up.
i might seem slow
but you're not as light as a pup!
now you're awake?
i nearly passed out!
you know what's at stake?
what school is all about!
but what's that you say?
i can't quite hear.
it's SATURDAY?!
then i'll sleep another year.
i've got to write these in my poem book! all my poems are priginal by the way. when i was writing this i even thought it sounded like those children's book poems.

Re: Poems
it's funny how hello is always accompanied with goodbye
it's funny how good memories can start to make you cry
it's funny how forever never seems to last
it's funny how much you'd lose if you forgot about your past
it's funny how “friends” can just leave when you are down
it's funny how when you need someone they never are around
it's funny how people change and think they're so much better
it's funny how many lies are packed into one “love letter”
it's funny how one night can contain so much regret
it's funny how you can forgive but not forget
it's funny how ironic life turns out to be
but the funniest part of all, is none of thats funny to me

Re: Poems
I really like that one, Watershred! I like writing about serious stuff...but then I never show anyone. I think CheeseStar likes the more cheerful, playful stuff though.
It's all miserable and grey outside so I might as well write about that:
A cloak fashioned from gloomy grey,
Shrouding the city throughout the day,
The colour of smoke and fumes and tears,
The colour of undefinable ghostly fears.
Grey buildings, grey streets,
Grey edges where everything meets,
Grey pallor to everyone's faces,
Grey monotone as they switch places.
Cheery blue skies and whisking clouds
Of yesterday, fading behind the grey shrouds,
Smog and ash and steam and smoke,
Dull and blank thoughts of the folk.
meehhh I don't like this one.

Re: Poems
I love the evenings, passionless and fair, I love the evens,
Whether old manor-fronts their ray with golden fulgence leavens,
In numerous leafage bosomed close;
Whether the mist in reefs of fire extend its reaches sheer,
Or a hundred sunbeams splinter in an azure atmosphere
On cloudy archipelagos.
Oh, gaze ye on the firmament! a hundred clouds in motion,
Up-piled in the immense sublime beneath the winds' commotion,
Their unimagined shapes accord:
Under their waves at intervals flame a pale levin through,
As if some giant of the air amid the vapors drew
A sudden elemental sword.
The sun at bay with splendid thrusts still keeps the sullen fold;
And momently at distance sets, as a cupola of gold,
The thatched roof of a cot a-glance;
Or on the blurred horizon joins his battle with the haze;
Or pools the blooming fields about with inter-isolate blaze,
Great moveless meres of radiance.
Then mark you how there hangs athwart the firmament's swept track,
Yonder a mighty crocodile with vast irradiant back,
A triple row of pointed teeth?
Under its burnished belly slips a ray of eventide,
The flickerings of a hundred glowing clouds in tenebrous side
With scales of golden mail ensheathe.
Then mounts a palace, then the air vibrates--the vision flees.
Confounded to its base, the fearful cloudy edifice
Ruins immense in mounded wrack;
Afar the fragments strew the sky, and each envermeiled cone
Hangeth, peak downward, overhead, like mountains overthrown
When the earthquake heaves its hugy back.
These vapors, with their leaden, golden, iron, bronzèd glows,
Where the hurricane, the waterspout, thunder, and hell repose,
Muttering hoarse dreams of destined harms,-
'Tis God who hangs their multitude amid the skiey deep,
As a warrior that suspendeth from the roof-tree of his keep
His dreadful and resounding arms!
All vanishes! The Sun, from topmost heaven precipitated,
Like a globe of iron which is tossed back fiery red
Into the furnace stirred to fume,
Shocking the cloudy surges, plashed from its impetuous ire,
Even to the zenith spattereth in a flecking scud of fire
The vaporous and inflamèd spaume.
O contemplate the heavens! Whenas the vein-drawn day dies pale,
In every season, every place, gaze through their every veil?
With love that has not speech for need!
Beneath their solemn beauty is a mystery infinite:
If winter hue them like a pall, or if the summer night
Fantasy them starre brede.
Sorry it is so long

my poem :3
Here's one of mine!
Peace, Prosperity, Similarity
Carry me up high
So I can reach those joys
The clouds in the sky, make up forms
that never die
Lessons learned, Treasures earned
Things that make you happy
Things that make you sad
They never seem to fade away
into the darkness of your mind
The bubbles in your bath
swirl around you and you laugh
The way you stare at him
in the flickering light
You reach back in your mind
Remember all those good times
When you played with your friends
The hardships you went through
The times when you were blue
Put them together and you get
The true joys of childhood
Peace, Prosperity, Similarity
Carry me up high
So I can reach those joys
The clouds in the sky, make up forms
that never die
Lessons learned, Treasures earned
Things that make you happy
Things that make you sad

Re: Poems
o.O surrounded by long, serious poems.
play on watershred's poem: happy version.
it's funny when a day starts with a smile,
it's funny how two legs can take you a mile.
it's funny when bananas fall on your head,
it's funny when you make it seem like you're dead.
it's funny how the sky is every colour,
it's funny how the sun never gets duller.
it's funny how bacon can be sweet,
it's funny when the winners are finally beat.
it's funny when the clouds look like me,
it's funny when life is as still as a tree.
it's funny how not everything is ironic,
but the funniest part of all, is that life isn't chaotic.
