"I'm...I'm so sorry to hear that." Ravenshadow mewed in surprise. "I didn't know." Feeling slightly sorry he padded closer to Featherfire. "I'll try to convince Bellawing to have us stay here if you want. That way all my kits can get to know their father. But I need you and Bellawing to stop fighting each other. I know you to don't like each other much, but you can at least try to get along. It hurts me to see and Bellawing being like this all the time."

Tempestsoul sat down next to Panther, "That's Viper. He's been here for a while, he's just not very social."

Darkfire sighed as he walked into Rainbowclan camp. He glanced around quickly then went and sat by the tree. He looked up it and wondered if he could climb it. He reared up and put his front paws against the bark.

Bellawing appaeared (lol) next to Darkfire, "What are you doing? I thought you were injured...?"

Darkfire jumped up, startled and fell backwards. "Ow," he said as he sat up. "Er.. yes.. I am "injured" but I was TRYING to see if I could climb the tree." He smiled sheepishly.

"Sorry!" Bellawing tried to pull him up.

"It's fine," stammered Darkfire. He looked up the tree again.

"How about this?" Bellawing pulled Darkfire onto the tree branch, then sat next to him, "I won't let you fall."

Darkfire wobbled a little then stretched out on the branch. "Thanks," said Darkfire appreicately with a smile. He breathed in the scent of the bark and leaves. Silvermoon had always liked the river. She didn't hate trees but didn't stay in trees for relaxment. Darkfire was the opposite. He felt at home in trees. He didn't hate the river of course. He had grown up around there but he didn't really find the river relaxing unlike Silvermoon.

"No problem," Bellawing started to clean her shoulder, then yawned.

"Tired?" asked Darkfire looking at Bellawing.

"Yeah, but I'll let you sleep here for a while then go curl up in my nest," She laid her tail neatly on her paws.

"I can't sleep up here," Darkfire said suddenly. "Silvermoon will kill me if she sees me." He glanced at the nursery.

Bellawing giggled, "I'll take the blame."

Darkfire cracked a smile. "Thanks. I haven't slept in this tree for ... 2 days!" he told her. He curled up against the trunk and let his tail hang down. He closed his eyes.

Bellawing purred and watched Darkfire's flank rise and fall.

Darkfire fell asleep quickly. He started to dream..

Darkfire walked through a sunny forest. He ended up at the river and saw Silvermoon swimming. She smiled at him and waved. He smiled back then climbed a tree. He sat on a branch right on top of Silvermoons head and talked to her. She splashed water on him and he threw twigs at her.

...He opened an eye. He was smiling and grinning like an idiot. He looked u at the sun and then sideways at Bellawing.

"Morning!" Bellawing laughed, her icy blue eyes full of joy.

"Mornin' Missus," laughed Darkfire. He stretched. His eyes glimmered with happiness.

Bellawing snorted, "Elder." She brushed her tail against his nose.

"Elder?" mock gasped Darkfire. He widened his eyes and made his mouth turn into an O shape.

"Did you not her me, elder?" She batted his face playfully and stuck her tongue out.

Panther shot Viper another glare and stood slowly, stretching his aching legs. He made sure to stay close to Tempestsoul and show that she was his. The black tom nuzzled her affectionately after he was done stretching.

Hail raced into the den, fur fluffed up, eyes wide in cute surprise. "PANTHER! We thought you were dead!" he yowled, tackling his friend.

Panther chuckled. "I can't die , idiot. That'd mean you and Sun were alone. I wouldn't let that happen...." he said confidently.

Sun trotted in, worry evident in her features. "You're okay, right?" she asked unsurely.

Panther grinned and nodded.

"Pfft. Who ya callin' an elder?" chuckled Darkfire. He nudged her and stuck his tongue out.
