"I'm...I'm so sorry to hear that." Ravenshadow mewed in surprise. "I didn't know." Feeling slightly sorry he padded closer to Featherfire. "I'll try to convince Bellawing to have us stay here if you want. That way all my kits can get to know their father. But I need you and Bellawing to stop fighting each other. I know you to don't like each other much, but you can at least try to get along. It hurts me to see and Bellawing being like this all the time."

"Great! Panther, you're awake! That's Viper. Tempestsoul gave him the squirrel because you were asleep and she didn't want it. Anyways, I need you to stand up and walk." Angelpaw meowed.

Goldenstream yawned and looked at Bellawing and Darkfire. She decided to join them. She padded over there, and meowed, "Hey, guys!"

Darkfire was startled by Goldenstream and almost fell out of the tree. He grabbed at Bellawing's paw and steadied himself. "Sorry," he said to Bellawing sheepishly. He looked down at Goldenstream. "Hi!" he said brightly.

"You alright?" Goldenstream asked, concerned.

"Ok." Panther grunted and stood. The pain was gone as he strode toward Sun, gave a her friendly nudge, and padded back to Hail. He stumbled a little because of his stiff leg.

"Fine. Fine. I'm totally fine," said Darkfire.

"Great! You're better! You're leg seems stiff, but you'll be fine! You are free to walk." Angelpaw meowed happily.

Darkfire glanced down at Goldenstream then looked at Bellawing. "Do you need me?" he asked Goldenstream.

Bellawing smiled, "It's alright. I guess I'll...leave you two alone." Bellawing jumped down, "Oh, and Goldenstream, make sure he doesn't fall. He might have to lean against you." She trotted off and just sat by the fresh kill pile, doing nothing.

Tempestsoul licked Panther's cheek, and yawned, stretching. She noticed him stumble, and jumped next to him, letting him lean against her. "You okay?"

Darkfire looked after Bellawing. He bit his lip and looked down. "Oh great. Now how am I supposed to get down?" he wailed. He tried to put weight on his paw but winced. "Ugh. Stupid paw! get better already!" he scolded his paw.

Bellawing jumped back on the branch, "You want down already?"

"Well, it's I can't sleep knowing that I might fall down at any moment and when I try to stay up, I'll just wince and fall down more," he replied. He looked up then back down then at Bellawing.

"Oh, alright," She grabbed his scruff and set him down. "If ya need me, don't be afraid to yell!" She trotted off into the nursery.

"Thanks!" he called after her. He turned to Goldenstream and grinned. "So?" he asked.

Bellawing envied how easy it was for Darkfire and Goldenstream. It could have been like that for her and Ravenshadow...

"If you want down, get down!" Goldenstream laughed, "Jump on my back!"

"Psh.. I'm already down!" laughed Darkfire. "And anyway if I tried that then I woulda broken mah leg!"

"Wow..." Bellawing laughed, "You're not real smart, are ya?"

Ravenshadow walked over to Bellawing, carrying a fish and a vole. "I brought you this," he mewed as he dropped the vole in front of her. "How is everything going with you and the kits?"

"Thanks!" Bellawing bit into it. "Would you-Would you like to share? The kits are on their nap."

"Well..." he eyed at the fish he caught. Then looking at Bellawing he purred warmly. "Sure. I guess someone else can have that instead." He sat next to Bellawing and took a bite from the vole.

"Oh fish!!" Crystallight mewed gingerly as she dragged it towards where she and Silvermoon were sitting. "Thanks Ravenshadow!"

Bellawing took one last bite, and licked the bits of fur off her muzzle. She smiled sheepishly, and looked at her paws.

"So..." Ravenshadow mewed as he licked himself clean, trying not to show how awkward he was feeling. He tried moving a bit closer to Bellawing and gave her a quick nuzzle to her neck. "Feels like we never really left doesn't it?"

"Yeah..." Bellawing sighed, and laid her head on his shoulder.

Featherfire left the nursery while the kits were sleeping. She wanted to go to the secret spot that her father had shown her before he blew up in a twoleg mine. She heard voices but didn't care. As she got closer she heard the detail in there voices and realized it was ravenshadow and Bellawing. She let a low growl out and watched through the bushes.
