River/Thunderclan RPG: The Flood - Page 7 Empty River/Thunderclan RPG: The Flood

Post by Streamstar February 16th 2014, 18:12

First topic message reminder :

Plot:

In her dream, Streamstar sat at the border between Thunderclan and Riverclan. She looked up and noticed that the sky was clear, not a cloud to be seen. She turned towards the river, hoping to find fish, but what she saw suprised her. In the reflection, the sky had become filled with clouds. She looked up, and realized that these clouds were growing bigger, and getting darker every moment. Then, she heard a voice, seeming to come from everywhere and nowhere at once. A storm is brewing, which will either tear you apart or bring you together. Rain began to pour and thunder boomed, and the next moment, Streamstar was awake in her nest.

A great storm is coming, and soon Riverclan will need the help of their allies. But what does Streamstar's prophecy mean, and will it affect the relations between Thunderclan and Riverclan?

Rogueblossom turned her attention to Snowstar's voice and made her way through the rain. She caught a glance at the apprentices as she did, a thought coming to her mind. If Snowstar's calling a meeting in this weather, it must be important, right? It's most likely their ceremonies. They are the correct age. She hopped up to the den and shook the rain off before going inside and sitting to the side, waiting for more cats to enter.

Oakheart stood there as he watched Blackstone yell in pain, and it suddenly reminded him of the time he was with his friend Brostfur. Everything began to blur around him as his mind was in the past rather than the present. The voices around him gradually faded away and he began to zone out. He suddenly saw himself back into the forest he and Brosfur were at before he met the clans. He looked to his right and he could see his friend laying besides a bush screaming in pain. Brosfur's voice began to echo into his mind as he spoke, "I want you to just be careful okay? Remember that getting to those herbs is dangerous. The last thing I want is you to get killed by a bobcat or something." Oakheart than shook his head and snapped out of the flashback. Herbs? He thought to himself. What herbs did Brosfur tell me to get? Gah! Now of all times I need to remember. Besides even if I did remember, where would I find them? He looked back over at the injured feline in front of him and sat besides him. "How are you holding up?" He asked as he stared outside into the rain.

"Of course," the medicine cat meowed, "I knew that whatever had happened to you, you'd be in pain and would need some poppy seeds." Berryleaf unrolled her leaf wrap, and quickly shifted through the other herbs until she found the poppy seeds. "Eat these," she meowed. The medicine cat quickly looked around until she spotted a strong looking stick. She quickly grabbed the stick and set it in front of Blackstone. "You may want to bite down on this, when I shift your leg back into place. Just tell me when you're ready."

Featherstorm sat out of Berryleaf's way, watching her sister help the injured tom. "Everything's gonna be fine," she meowed reasuringly.

Blackstone licked up the poppy seeds and pulled the stick towards him. "OK, I'm ready," he meowed. He grabbed the stick in his teeth and bit down as hard as he could. He ignored the chill of the wind and rain and focused on the stick. All that mattered was putting his leg put back in place and getting safely to camp. Nothing else did, not now.

Heatherpaw looked around at the other apprentices as the anticipation build for the meeting. What is so important that it cannot wait until the weather passes? Her gaze fixed on a few other gathered cats as she tried to look around for Snowstar, wondering when the gathering would start and where Redleaf was. She hadn't seen her in a while now.

He hesitated at the entrance of the den. The leaders den isn't usually used this way, he thought. Why would they be calling a clan meeting in here? The brown cat walked over into the gathering group and looked at the apprentices before dipping his head politely and looking back at the clan leader. The cave at least was warm but he had a strange feeling about being there ad usually liked to keep away from the rest of the clan. Talonheart stared down at his paws instead.

Shimmerpaw shook the rain off of her pelt. I hate the rain, why couldn't Snowstar wait until the weather passes? Shimmerpaw's midn automatically goes for the worst, unlike most who would hope it was a warrior ceremony, her mind turned to thigs like the death of a Clan member, or a flooding of some sort somewhere that would affect ThunderClan. But she also thought extra warrior may help the clan a bit, and she, Flamepaw, Heatherpaw, and Milkypaw were the correct ages. She scurried after the other apprentices, and turned to her sister when she spoke. "Flamepaw, it's a ceremony, just shut up, listen and go from there," she hissed quietly.

River/Thunderclan RPG: The Flood - Page 7 Empty Re: River/Thunderclan RPG: The Flood

Post by Scarlett March 25th 2014, 21:20

~OOC: Most of you have noticed I have been stalling a bit. Sorry guys. I'm just sad to see my sister and apprentice grow up. Just kidding. It had to happen sometime. But back to the RP. Razz~

Snowstar wove her way through the crowd of gathered clan members. She couldn't help but look over at the apprentices who stood off to the side of her den. It seems as though they only just received their apprentice names and now they can hunt and fight on their own. The don't need protecting or guiding anymore, except for maybe Heatherpaw from StarClan with the prophecies that she will receive. She looked back in the direction that she was headed and when she reached the back of the den, which more closely resembled a deep cave, she turned around gracefully and gave her chest a few quick licks as she tried to control her ruffled pelt.

Her pelt was snowy white and still managed to keep its glossy sheen, despite the fact that in more recent moons, it appeared to be showing some signs of aging. Scars that were once well concealed were now more prevalent and it appeared to be more worn than it had been in the past. The most noticeable change though, was in her eyes. The proud she-cat and clan leaders eyes seemed to give away how tired she was becoming, and her eyes seemed more wise than they had been in the past. She used to be the mischievous one and would wander about the territories as she pleased but these days, it wasn't often she made it out of the camp and though the only ones who knew of her stiffness in her legs early in the mornings after it had rained were Redleaf and Heatherpaw, Snowstar knew she wouldn't be able to hide it much longer.

She jumped up on a rock near her nest that was slightly elevated off of the ground, trying to make it easier for her clan mates to see and hear her. As she looked at the members of her clan, she noticed it had grown more quiet and most eyes were now fixed on her. She blinked a few times to clear her gaze and thoughts as she worked to refocus herself before speaking. "Most of you know that the weather has posed as an issue for us lately. Many of you have been asked to work harder and eat less as Newleaf has come with the rain this time. I am sorry to have to ask this of you, but more hunting patrols will nee to be assigned to accommodate for the weather driving much of the prey underground. We are missing many of our warriors lately due to issues with Shadowclan near the borders trying to close in on our territory." She paused now, her piercing blue eyed now looking at the apprentices, "But it is now that I am pleased to inform you that we have four apprentices who will be joining our warrior ranks tonight." Snowstar dipped her head to the apprentices and flicked her tail, signaling for each of them and their mentors to stand beneath her for their ceremonies.

Oakheart watched as Blackstone moved with his injury. He could almost share the same pain just from watching him. I hope he gets better He thought to himself as his facial expression was sort of sad. He felt that he couldn't bear to watch him in this pain, but something kept making him watch. Just how bad did you hurt yourself Blackstone?

Flamepaw's heart skipped a beat when Snowstar flicked her tail at her and her fellow apprentices. She padded up just below her leader, trying to keep as calm as possible. Even though, after all, she was shaking all over. Is it noticeable? she asked herself. No, probably not. Doesn't matter anyway. Completely natural to be excited during your warrior ceremony.

River/Thunderclan RPG: The Flood - Page 7 Empty Re: River/Thunderclan RPG: The Flood

Post by Silverstream March 26th 2014, 18:09

Silverstream dropped her underbelly down to the ground and rested on her haunches trying to get through the camp entrance as quietly as possible now that most of the cats were gathered in the leaders den for the meeting, and hoping that the rain would drown out any remaining sound they two warriors made as the escaped from the camp. Once the she-cat was convinced they were both out of sight of the others, she couldn't help but stop and look back at the entrance wondering what would happen when they returned. Surely once we return, hey will know that we skipped the meeting and left the camp without telling anyone... But instead of letting that detour her, Silverstream turned and padded off more quickly now in the direction of Sunning Rocks.

As she raced through the underbrush all she could make out was the sound of the rain as it hit the leaves of the trees high above. She did her best to try and stay under their cover as much as possible, avoiding the rain that would otherwise beat against her pelt. The plants that all grew lower to the ground were soaked by now and pools of water had seemed to have formed every other paw step. The ground had all turned to mush making it difficult to keep a grip. Silverstream had to unsheathe her claws to maintain her grip on the ground but she still found herself sliding across the earth periodically. Unfortunately, all of the rain also meant that there was a lot of mud. Next thing she knew, the silver she-cat had stepped in a deep patch of mud where her claws couldn't help her get the necessary traction. When her paws made contact with the earth, her body continued moving forward and this sent her sliding over the ground and caused her to slam against the side of a tree.

Everything was a blur for her as she lie there for a minute unable to catch her breath. Each breathe was forced as she sucked in the air but still felt unable to breath. Her body shook and she struggled to get back to her paws. What just happened...? Silverstream tried to shake her head to clear her face of the excess water and mud but it just made her dizzier and she collapsed on the ground again. The mud now covered her left flank and part of her face and her eyes were out of focus still. She could see shapes but nothing was coming into focus clearly just yet. She looked around blankly for Hazelshade for some help.

Shimmerpaw's heart skipped a beat when Snowstar sai dthat she would be recieving her warrior name. TO her it seemed like only yesterday she had joined ThunderClan as a small, frail kit, a rogue cast out of BloodClan for being too nice. She smiled, remebering all the memories she had with her brothers and Flamepaw, it was strange thinking that only a few moons ago she was a wekling, and now she was strong apprentice, wait no, almost a warrior! She collected herself and stepped forward, her tail swinging out behind her. She apdded closer to Snowstar, maneuvering her way around teh otehr cats. She nudged Flaepaw excitedly and smiled at her sister.

Post by Streamstar March 30th 2014, 17:10

Streamstar gazed over the gathering group of cats around her, making sure everyone was there. The only ones missing were the group of cats helping Blackstone. We'll have to meet up with them on the way to Thunderclan territory if they don't show up soon, the leader thought to herself. She didn't like having to leave their home, but the flooding was too severe, and their best option was now to go to their allies for help. "Riverclan," she meowed, raising her voice to be heard over the storm, "the flooding in our camp has grown worse, and much of the camp has been greatly damaged. We'll have to seek shelter elsewhere, so we will go to Thunderclan for help."

Berryleaf got a careful grip on Blackstone's leg, then quickly judging the correct position to move it to, she moved it, and there was a quiet click as it popped back into place. "After the initial pain from moving it, it should start to hurt less," she meowed. She inspected his leg, checking for any other injuries, and when she was sastisfied, she looked up at him, and asked, "How do you feel?"

Rogueblossom's eyes shined with pride when her gaze went from the leader to the apprentices. They had grown so much over the moons. The one that made her the most proud, however, was her own apprentice whom she had been watching over for much of her training. Flamepaw, through the moons of her apprenticeship, had rightfully earned this ceremony with the other three cats. She was glad that nothing had been able to keep it from happening, not even this horrible weather. The deputy smiled at the Flamepaw and then Shimmerpaw, Milkypaw, and Heatherpaw. They were going to be valuable to the Clan. She turned her attention back to Snowstar, thoughts still rolling. I just hope they're content with their new names. After all, it'll be with them for the rest of their lives, she thought, her tail flicking a bit as she did.

Snowstar's eyes gleamed in excitement. She was obviously pleased with the 4 apprentices finally becoming warriors and was excited to give them their warrior names and to have them take their place in the clan, helping to produce the future generations and secure the clans survival for the remainder of what she knew was soon to be the end of her leadership. However, Snowstar couldn't help but be saddened at the thought that the apprentices were all now full grown warriors and were now in the prime of their lives. They were free to join the patrols without supervision and to attend the Gatherings to meet their friends from other clans. This also meant that Flamepaw, Shimmerpaw and Milkypaw would be allowed to take a mate and have kits. That only caused her thoughts to stir more as she thought of her own kits long ago that few knew about and fewer who did know were will walking among the clans.

She gave a small, subtle sigh and looked down at the four apprentices that now sat in front of her beneath he make shift high rock and she looked down at them noticing now that they and the rest of the clan were looking at her expectantly. Stifling a purr that fought to rumble in her chest, she parted her jaws to speak again. "I would like to congratulate all four of you on everything that you have accomplished in these past moons. I know the times have not been easy and you have been asked to do a lot, that most apprentices wouldn't have had asked of them in other clans. But that is what will make you be better, wiser and stronger warriors over those in the other clans." She nodded her final congratulations and started with the traditional warrior ceremony opening now. "Flamepaw," Snowstar paused for a moment trying to decide the most suitable name for the fiery colored tabby, "Please step forward." She paused to wait for her response.

Hazelshade hurried after Silverstream. She could hear the meeting going on behind her, and listened for a moment as she squeezed through the camp entrance. An apprentice to warrior ceremony. She felt a brief flash of disappointment that she would be missing it, then dismissed the thought. There would be a hundred more ceremonies like that. But an adventure like this was hard to come by! The calico she-cat trotted after her friend, a slight spring in her step now, despite the icky mud that kept clinging to her paws. But when Silverstream started running, it was all Hazelshade could do to keep up. She wasn't as fast as slender-built Clanmate, and it didn't help that she had to pause every once in awhile to attempt to shake the mud off her paws. How could Silverstream deal with it? So a-nnoying, she complained to herself. The state of her fur was pretty much preoccupying the greater part of her thoughts. So as a result, she almost ran past Silverstream. At first, Hazelshade was surprised that Silverstream had stopped to wait for her. Then she considered the idea and deduced that she had fallen so far behind that Silverstream must've thought she hit her head on a tree. It was only after that that Hazelshade realized that Silverstream was lying in the mud, looking as if she had just hit that proverbial tree. "Um, are you okay?" She hurried over to her Clanmate, slipping and sliding in the mud until she finally reached Silverstream's side. Ouch. Her friend looked like she'd gone and rolled in a mud puddle mixed with rocks.

Rogueblossom watched her own apprentice step up to the leader, her shakes visible. She nodded in reassurance when the younger she-cat had glanced at her and listened to the rain, remembering back to when she had gotten her warrior name. She was quite shaky herself when she was called up in front of the Clan, more scared than nervous. She had figured that she had messed something up and was being banished. The black-furred she-cat held back a purr. It was somewhat amusing now, how naïve and worried the deputy used to be when it came to her own ceremonies, both apprentice and warrior. However, she had matured much since then and extinguished her fear of being banished by the time she became deputy. She let her gaze drift over the other cats in the den and let it return to Flamepaw and Snowstar as she tuned back in to the ceremony and blocked out the storm.

Maplefrost silently wished her clanmate good luck. Her spirits were high even though the rain soaked through her body. Shivering, she nodded to Flamepaw as she passed and thanked StarClan for the soon to be warrior. She felt a shiver run down her back and she wiped her tail, sending rain droplets flying. The cool weather filled the air and urged her to retreat to a den but she forced herself to stay and watch. A purr rumbled in her throat as she began to dwell in the memory of her warrior ceremony during another storm.

River/Thunderclan RPG: The Flood - Page 7 Empty Re: River/Thunderclan RPG: The Flood

Silverstream blinked away the mud from her eyes as best as she could and tried to focus on the tortoiseshell as she approached. The mud was still caked on her left flank and the side of her face. She staggered to her paws and when she finally gained her footing she tried to shake out her pelt. Flecks of water and mud flew in every direct and the water worked its way under her pelt as the mud slowly washed away but it still wasn't clear what color her pelt was anymore. Silverstream looked at Hazelshade now as she came into focus and she could make out her words. Am I okay? Of course not...! she thought to herself hesitantly trying to recall what exactly had happened. "I feel like I was just sat on by a badger" she said with a huff. Everyone knew how fat and heavy a badger was but she was still struggling to regain her breath and her heart was still racing rapidly.

The she-cat knew that if she returned to camp with injuries, Snowstar would be furious, not only about them sneaking out but that one of ThunderClan's warriors was injured now while ignoring the leaders orders. Imagining the thought of the scorn from her clan mates and the punishment sent shivers down her spine. They would probably have apprentice duties for at least a moon. She turned to continue heading in the direction they had planned to travel, walking with a slight limp. Her side was hurting and he found her breaths were coming short but after the first few steps she forced herself to hide the sharp pains and walk more normally. The last thing she needed was to come off as weak when they were headed to the border.
