River/Thunderclan RPG: The Flood
First topic message reminder :
In her dream, Streamstar sat at the border between Thunderclan and Riverclan. She looked up and noticed that the sky was clear, not a cloud to be seen. She turned towards the river, hoping to find fish, but what she saw suprised her. In the reflection, the sky had become filled with clouds. She looked up, and realized that these clouds were growing bigger, and getting darker every moment. Then, she heard a voice, seeming to come from everywhere and nowhere at once. A storm is brewing, which will either tear you apart or bring you together. Rain began to pour and thunder boomed, and the next moment, Streamstar was awake in her nest.
Scarlett/Snowstar and Streamstar hold the right to ban any member from this RPG for breaking these rules as they deem appropriate. Please make sure you abide by them.

A great storm is coming, and soon Riverclan will need the help of their allies. But what does Streamstar's prophecy mean, and will it affect the relations between Thunderclan and Riverclan?

Re: River/Thunderclan RPG: The Flood
Streamstar quietly listened as Oakheart spoke, then quickly meowed, "Are you able to move him? If you need another cat to help, get Silverlily to go back with you. Move him to higher ground as soon as possible, so he will be out of reach from the floodwaters. I'll send Berryleaf to help, but stay away from the river, I don't want to risk anyone drowning in the flood." The Streamstar turned to Riverclan's former leader, "It would be best to send a cat to him. By the time he'd be able to make it back to camp, it may already be flooded. I do not wish to risk any cat's life, but I'm not leaving any cat behind either."
Berryleaf had walked over to see what was going on, and she quickly found out about Blackstone. She ran off to gather the right supplies, and would soon leave to help him.
Featherstorm soon had Blackstone leaning against her. "Can you walk at all while you're leaning against me? We should get to higher ground." The water was rising, and the ground they were standing on would surely flood soon.

"Agh! Kind of," Blackstone grimaced. He hobbled forwards, letting his injured leg drag on the ground. He told himself, Don't rush it, but he didn't want to drown. He limped forwards as fast as he could while still dragging his leg and leaning on Featherstorm, which wasn't very fast, but hopefully he would survive the storm. The rain chilled him to the bone and stiffened him, but numbed his leg a little at the same time. "The rain numbs my leg," he told Featherstorm. He was shivering all over which didn't help with walking.

Oakheart gave a nod, "much appreciated." He spoke confidently. How did I go from being a loner to getting into this sort of mess he thought a littler annoyed. "I'll meet the cats there." then he ran back to Blackheart.

Re: River/Thunderclan RPG: The Flood
~Blackheart? Really? ~
Blackstone slowed a little. The cold of the rain was horrific, even if he did take a daily swim in the river. But, this wasn't the same as swimming in the river. The water didn't engulf him completely, getting through his oily fur to his skin and almost freezing him.
He leaned into Featherstorm's fur a bit more. He didn't want a storm to be his doom. He'd rather die for his Clan than from sickness or the storm. He wouldn't mind old age, he'd just drift off in his sleep. And he would have had great times hunting, playing, defending, patrolling, that sort of thing. He was determined to not make this day his last. Even though the wind and rain slowed him, he kept going, and going, and going. He was almost on auto-pilot.
~By the way, this is Blackstone, but it's my secondary account.I couldn't be bothered to switch accounts Don't kill me please!~

Shimmerpaw's eyes widened. "That's a good question," she tilted her head in thought at Heatherpaw's question. "What would be the point of us cleaning up for us to just continue to dirty ourselves?" She pointed. Her ears perked up at the sound of her sister's voice. "Hi Uh..." She trailed off, almost calling her sister by her rogue name once again. "Flamepaw," She said, smiling.

Re: River/Thunderclan RPG: The Flood
Featherstorm kept moving, trying to support Blackstone as much as possible, so there would be less pressure on his injured leg. The cold rain splashed against her fur, but her glossy Riverclan fur couldn't protect her from the rain forever, and soon she was soaked. "We're almost there," she meowed as they slowly moved uphill. She spotted a small area sheltered by a few large trees and said, "We can stop over there, hopefully Oakheart is on his way back by now."
Berryleaf was soon ready with all supplies she might need, and she neatly bundled it into a leaf wrap. When it was secure in her mouth, she rushed out of camp, careful to make sure none of the herbs fell out. She went in the direction she saw Oakheart leave in and began to follow his scent the best she could, with the scent of herbs flooding her nose.
Streamstar quickly did one last check in all the dens to make sure every cat had left, and then she left to join the rest of the Riverclan cats. The water had risen, and had begun to reach the camp, slowly rising past the nursery, then the warriors den, and would soon flood the whole camp. Berryleaf and Oakheart would know where the other cats had gone, and Streamstar would lead the other cats in Blackstone's direction if they were unable to go back to camp.

Re: River/Thunderclan RPG: The Flood
"T-thank you, Featherstorm," Blackstone stuttered, taking fast, shallow breaths. He stumbled over to the trees and fell down on his good side. It was a relief to get rest. But he knew they couldn't stay for long. Featherstorm would have to get him up again, and their slow pace would heighten their chances of being caught by the flood. Blackstone slowed his breathing a little, staying alert so he could tell Featherstorm if he heard the water approaching.

Milkypaw's fur bristled and a shiver went down her spine. "Could be...." Her voice trailed off into the distance as she started towards the ledge where Snowstar was. She looked back once and motioned for Heatherpaw and Shimmerpaw to follow, ignoring the ice-cold rain that seeped through her coat.

Oakheart came sprinting up to Featheratorm and Blackstones and came to an immediate halt. "Help is on it's way." Oakheart helped carry the injured Feline. Hang on there just a little longer. I know you can make it.

Blackstone looked at Oakheart and smiled. "I knew I could count on you guys," he mewed. He shivered more but he had a little bit more warmth with Oakheart helping him too. He dragged his injured leg helplessly on the soft, wet ground, not lifting it so he could conserve energy and make it to the Clan and higher ground.

Re: River/Thunderclan RPG: The Flood
Silverstream wrote:Silverstream entered the camp quietly, her pelt plastered to her sides. She had her jaws filled with a few mice, a squirrel and a small black bird she caught at the last minute. She saw most of the clan hiding either in safety of the newly enforced dens or under the ledge when they were speaking their concerns amongst themselves. The she-cat looked around for Hazelshade but didn't spot her so she walked over to where the fresh kill pile had been moved and dropped in her own contribution. Despite her hunger, she decided against eating right then knowing they would probably need to conserve as much of their supply as they could. Instead she walked back out into the forest wondering how the other clans were going to cope with the flood. Especially Riverclan, seeing as the depended on their steady supply of fish from the river. The two that we saw earlier seemed okay and worry free though. Maybe they already prepared for the weather coming in.
"Silverstream," Hazelshade called. "Silverstream." She inched unwillingly out of the shelter of the foliage to meet her friend out by the fresh-kill pile. Only moments after she exposed herself, she was completely drenched. The rain soaked her calico fur and dripped off her whiskers in rivulets. Hazelshade honestly couldn't remember when newleaf rains had ever been this bad, and so suddenly too. WindClan's going to enjoy this, she thought with a snicker. That Clan hated getting wet more than she did. RiverClan will probably have fun with this for real... Or actually, maybe not. The ThunderClan warrior froze midstep, blinking rapidly as water dripped into her eyes. "Hey, Silverstream," she questioned abruptly, darting the last few steps into the shelter of the ledge, "how do you think RiverClan is coming along? The river."

The silver she-cat glanced over her shoulder when she heard Hazelshade. "Huh? What?" She blinked clearly confused at first before thinking over what she heard. "Oh... Well we could always find out if they are doing okay..." Silverstream said mischievously. Her blue eyes flashed for a split second as she grew more eager to follow through with her own suggestion. "Come with me, Hazelshade. We could see how they are really doing. After all they are our allies right?"

Hazelshade's eyes lit up. "Let's go!" Her voice pitched high and loud with excitement for a split second, before she realized that discretion would probably be best. Her gaze flicked to the side, but luckily, there was no one nearby. The rain was loud enough to drown out most noise anyways. Her tail tip quivered in excitement. "Now? We're going now?"

Snowstar stood up and made her way over to and up the ledge, Her smaller lithe figure was clearly visible under her thicker white pelt and water dipped from every inch of her form but she was insistent on ignoring it. The snowy white cat stopped at the top of the ledge and looked down at all of the clan members. "Let all those old enough to catch their own prey gather in the leaders den for a clan meeting!" Snowstar called out in a firm, controlled voice. She had hoped that the rain did not drown out her call as she turned and entered her own den and took a seat near the back of the den where she could leave room for all of the others to gather before her where it was sheltered from the rain.

Re: River/Thunderclan RPG: The Flood
Silversream's ears pricked when she heard her leader suddenly call a clan meeting. "Now?! In this weather?" she spat in annoyance. She looked at Hazelshade weighing out her options. "If we go now we are less likely to be missed... All of the other cats will be focused on the meeting and Snowstar will be too busy with what she is saying to make sure that everyone is there. Besides that if we wait any longer the River will have completely flooded even Sunningrocks and I don't feel much like swimming today" Silverstream looked at Hazelshade hoping that she would agree. The silver she-cat seemed filled with a sense of restlessness today and she suspected the water and weather had something to do with it.

MilkyPaw turned around and looked at Shimmerpaw and Heatherpaw. "Hurry! A meeting is about to start! I don't want to miss it. It must be important if we're doing it in this kind of weather..." MilkyPaw turned back around amd scurried up to where the cats were gathering. She stopped and waited for just a moment so Heatherpaw and Shimmerpaw could catch up.

Heatherpaw was startled at first by Milkypaw's sudden burst of energy but quickly bounded after her adoptive sister. She quickly shook out her pelt when she entered the den and then gave he flank and chest another quick lick as she waited for Shimmerpaw and Flamepaw to catch up to them. She was feeling a bit restless and began looking around for Redleaf as she had grown accustomed to sitting with the Medicine cat and her mentor when the clan meetings were held and she was curious about what was going to happen next.

Re: River/Thunderclan RPG: The Flood
Streamstar sat quietly under a tree, watching the camp from a safe distance. Riverclan camp was now completely flooded, and it didn't seem like that was changing anytime soon. Her clanmates needed better shelter; it was time to go to Thunderclan for help. She padded over to where the rest of the clan was gathered. She found a rock to stand on, where everyone could see her from, and she called out, "Let all cats, young and old, gather around for a clan meeting!" The load roar of thunder drowned out her last few words.
Berryleaf hurried alongside the river, staying at a safe distance away from the floodwaters. Soon she could see the shapes of a few cats huddled together that must have been Featherstorm and Oakheart helping Blackstone. She'd have called out to them, but her mouth was full of herbs. As soon as she reached them, she set down her bundle of herbs and inspected Blackstone's injury. She was soon able to find out that it wasn't broken, but it was dislocated. "You've dislocated your leg," she meowed, "I'll have to move it back into place, but its going to hurt."

"How are you holding up?" Oakheart asked a little worried for Blackstone. Though he felt bad about the situation, he continues to push positive thoughts. Hm, we won't make it too far like this. Where are those cats? Oakheart noticed a nice little sheltered area under a boulder and placed Blackstone down. "We can't get too far like this. Featherstorm, you stay here with Blackstone while I stay on lookout for the other cats." Oakheart said confidently

"Fine," Blackstone moaned. Dislocated legs hurt. But he was glad it wasn't broken in any way. He braced himself for lots of pain when Berryleaf attempted to get his leg back into position. But, he'd at least be able to walk properly. "I'm ok," he told Oakheart. "If it's not broken then it's not that bad, really," Then he yowled, "Before you start, Berryleaf, did you bring any poppy seeds?"

Hazelshade didn't think about the two choices for long. It was easy for her: go on an adventure, or stand in the rain and get soaked? "Let's just sneak away now," she whispered. "If we go anytime else, Snowstar's bound to notice. She's probably going to make hole up soon or something... Or go about doing work so the dens don't fall apart from the rain." The calico she-cat edged around Adderfang, a burly brown warrior, as she spoke. Hopefully the rain'll make it hard for Snowstar to see too.
