River/Thunderclan RPG: The Flood
First topic message reminder :
In her dream, Streamstar sat at the border between Thunderclan and Riverclan. She looked up and noticed that the sky was clear, not a cloud to be seen. She turned towards the river, hoping to find fish, but what she saw suprised her. In the reflection, the sky had become filled with clouds. She looked up, and realized that these clouds were growing bigger, and getting darker every moment. Then, she heard a voice, seeming to come from everywhere and nowhere at once. A storm is brewing, which will either tear you apart or bring you together. Rain began to pour and thunder boomed, and the next moment, Streamstar was awake in her nest.
Scarlett/Snowstar and Streamstar hold the right to ban any member from this RPG for breaking these rules as they deem appropriate. Please make sure you abide by them.
Plot:
In her dream, Streamstar sat at the border between Thunderclan and Riverclan. She looked up and noticed that the sky was clear, not a cloud to be seen. A great storm is coming, and soon Riverclan will need the help of their allies. But what does Streamstar's prophecy mean, and will it affect the relations between Thunderclan and Riverclan?

Shimmerpaw looked back at Milkypaw. She walked over to the pure white she-cat, her fur sticking to her sides. Shimmerpaw sat down next to her fellow apprentice, droplets falling on her back. She looked up at the sky, but quickly looked away, blinking the rain out of her eyes. "Probably not a good idea.." She muttered to herself. "Hey, Milkypaw?" She asked the she-cat. "Did you find it easy to gather the materials? I couldn't find much," She sighed, her tail swishing back and forth, the white portions of her feet covered with small splashes of mud.

Re: River/Thunderclan RPG: The Flood
Torrentheart nodded to Silverlily. "Yeah, you two need to find some shelter. I think we've done all we can," he meowed sympathetically. He wish they had gotten more work done, but inside he knew that there was nothing left to do. He knew the river was bound to flood out, with their luck. As clusters of complaining, cold, wet, confused cats started to form, Torrentheart had already started mentally checking off who was here and who wasn't. He noticed there was but one cat that was missing; a large black cat he was quite familiar with. That cat was Blackstone. Torrentheart darted over to the shelter of the opening of the Warrior's Den, where a few others awaited as well. Scanning over the crowd, he still could not find the black warrior. I hope he's alright, he meowed to himself.
He needed to find Streamstar, but he assumed she was already leading some cats to higher ground. He was getting more anxious by the second by the rain and rising river; both of which could be deadly but very, very possible. He wondered if ThunderClan was doing okay. He hoped they expected some company, because that's probably where RiverClan was headed.

~I guess I'll post on Streamstar's behalf. I'm not exactly sure where she is in the RPG or what she s doing but I'll do what I can. ~
Streamstar was busy trying to keep all of the clan members calm. She noticed Torrentheart looking around. She headed over to him and stopped a fox length or so away. "We only have 2 options left and not long to decide what we are going to do."

"Okay, if you say so." Ripplepaw crouched for a moment, trying to get warmer, then followed his mentor onto higher land. He saw with distaste the pawprints his feet left in the mud; freezing grime squelched uncomfortably between his toes and clung to his fur. Cleaning it up later would be a nightmare, he knew. Whenever "later" was. He didn't know how long this storm was going to last, but he had a sinking feeling that it was just getting started, like some dark monster casting the shadow of a rain.
Maplestream poked Brightshadow. "You'll get fat if you don't exercise," she bantered, more concerned about the weather than she let on. She glanced at the looming sky, anxious. She hadn't seen this bad a storm for quite a few season cycles.

Featherstorm quickly moved along the shore, hoping to get back to camp as soon as possible. She glanced back every once in a while to make sure Oakheart was still following her. She was moving so fast, that in the darkness of the storm, she almost didn't notice the cat lying in the mud. She quickly stopped, and realized it was Blackstone. "Blackstone, what happened?" she meowed, concerned, while she bent down to help him up.

Torrentheart shook his head. "The river's not surely gonna rise. Maybe we should wait a little longer. When we're sure it's gonna flood over, we should head over to ThunderClan," he suggested. He tried not to completely take over all suggestions, but his leader-like personality always got the best of him. He spotted Brightshadow and Maplestream, and called over to them. "Hey, guys. Come here and take my spot. It's a bit more comfortable here. Just don't get too comfortable," he mewed.

Rogueblossom darted somewhat out of the rain and over to Flamepaw, trying to take the driest route as she shook the raindrops from her fur. She smiled at the apprentice for a moment before a drop fell right on her nose, causing her to flinch a bit. "Ah, there you are. It doesn't look like we'll be training today," she glanced up at the sky for a moment before continuing, "Was there anything you needed?"

Oakheart ran up behind Featherstorm and saw she was helping up a cat. "Is everyting alright?" He said with a little worried tone in his voice. He then looked up at the rain as it fell down upon is face and rolled off. "I don't think this weather is going to get much better anytime soon." Oakheart said calmly "We better go soon."

Heatherpaw noticed Shimmerpaw and Milkypaw gathered together under the cover of the ledge ad padded over to them. Her pelt was completely soaked through but she just ignored it. Enough of the clan was already upset about the weather and concerned about when it would sop. She figured she shouldn't add to that. She sat down to the other 2 apprentices wondering what was going on. "What were you and Snowstar talking about Milkypaw?" the tortoiseshell asked curiously.

Re: River/Thunderclan RPG: The Flood
Silverstream entered the camp quietly, her pelt plastered to her sides. She had her jaws filled with a few mice, a squirrel and a small black bird she caught at the last minute. She saw most of the clan hiding either in safety of the newly enforced dens or under the ledge when they were speaking their concerns amongst themselves. The she-cat looked around for Hazelshade but didn't spot her so she walked over to where the fresh kill pile had been moved and dropped in her own contribution. Despite her hunger, she decided against eating right then knowing they would probably need to conserve as much of their supply as they could. Instead she walked back out into the forest wondering how the other clans were going to cope with the flood. Especially Riverclan, seeing as the depended on their steady supply of fish from the river. The two that we saw earlier seemed okay and worry free though. Maybe they already prepared for the weather coming in.

"Catching greencough," Brightshadow declared, "is not exercise." She turned her narrow green gaze on Torrentheart. "The river takes time to rise. If the rain continues on at this rate, it's flooding for sure." She rose to her paws with a grimace— the chill had sunk into her bones, and her joints now protested with evey movement she made. "Might a well go where the queens ran now," the former leader added. "Saves energy."
~~
Hazelshade had dried off her fur as well as she could. While the warriors' den deflected most of the raindrops, the roof wasn't exactly solid. She wasn't soaked, but dampness to her fur was distinctly unpleasant. It made her feel... sticky. The calico she-cat wriggled in frustration and peered out through the leaves. Silverstream was finally back, but she didn't feel like braving the rain again, not even for her friend.

Flamepaw sighed in relief at the sight of her mentor. "When did all this rain start?" she asked, looking around the drenched camp. "It doesn't look like it'll be stopping soon." She shook her pelt to get rid of the raindrops lining her fur. She shivered, too. This rain was awfully cold.

Streamstar looked up at the sky. It was now completely dark, no end to the storm in sight. "I doubt this rain will end anytime soon," she meowed, "We'll stay uphill for now, and see how bad the flooding is, if it floods. Then we'll see if we need Thunderclan's help. It's best to have everyone leave camp now, and get out safely, than to wait and have everyone try to rush out in a hurry, when it starts to flood."
Featherstorm turned to Oakheart, still helping Blackstone at the same time, "Blackstone is hurt," she meowed, "We have to get him back to camp, before this rain causes the river to flood."

Blackstone groaned at the stabbing pain in his leg. "Ow- I slipped in the mud," he murmured. "I swear I tried to get up... It's too painful..." He let himself go limp a little. Then he had an idea. "Which one of you is fastest?" he asked. It physically pained him to move his bad leg, so he didn't try and look up too much.

Milkypaw tilted her head when she heard Heatherpaw. "Oh hello Heatherpaw!" She greeted her. "Snowstar just wanted to give us a minute to clean ourselves up, but..... I feel like she means something more than that. I saw the look in her eyes...." MilkyPaw thought for a moment. She understood what she had to do. "Is everyone ready?" She stood up and shook her pelt off, the water droplets flying in every direction. She waited to see if shimmerpaw and Heatherpaw were ready.

"It's an exercise of resilience," Maplestream mused. She nodded to the deputy. "Thanks Torrentheart, but I think we better follow Streamstar." She poked Brightshadow then slowly sloshed her way through the mud toward Streamstar's form.
Ripplepaw sighted the general movement of some cats in the near distance. Recognizing a couple of the elders, he realized Streamstar must be evacuating everyone to higher land and trudged after the leader.

"Ok. Can you go and get Streamstar please, and tell her to bring the medicine cat, fast," Blackstone croaked. His head fell down. He was annoyed that he had fallen like that and couldn't get himself to stand up, let alone get back to higher ground.

"The heavy rain started not too long ago," Rogueblossom stated simply as she noticed the sky darken, causing her bright eyes to go a bit duller. She glanced around the clearing until she noticed every other apprentice under the ledge. She pointed to them with her tail and looked back at Flamepaw, saying, "You should go over with them. After all, they are your fellow apprentices."

Heatherpaw looked at Milkypaw in surprise. "Did she say why we had to get cleaned up?" The small tortoiseshell gave an excited purr and did a quick once over clean of her pelt. She looked over at the other two wondering when they were supposed to be done and what would happen next. "Maybe it is finally time for our warrior ceremonies..."

Oakheart gave a single nod and sprinted back to the den. I got to tell Streamstar about Blackstones condition he thought to himself. I just hope he will be okay till then He could feel the rain showering on his short fur, and the water splashed under his paws. He approached the den and went up to Streamstar immediately. "Blackstone is need of help. He has fallen and can't get up. He may have sprained or possibly broke something."

Brightshadow grunted in annoyance. "Fine." She gave Torrentheart a nod and padded after Maplestream. She was near enough to Streamstar to overhear Oakheart and his message, and immediately expressed her disapproval. "What? Can he not move at all? Can't you carry him? It can't be that bad." The gray tabby elder's eyes narrowed thoughtfully. "If you're going to send a medicine cat-- well, I think you should just get him back here. The flood's going to worsen and you don't want to risk a medicine cat's life to the water just because one warrior can't endure the pain long enough to come back to camp." Her gaze flicked over to Streamstar. "Sorry. Just my opinion," Brightshadow added, almost apologetically.
