WindClan: The swift, loyal, and fierce

"We are the cats of the wind. We are fast and close to
StarClan. WindClan cats always stay with their ancestors
wherever they may be. We live in the open moor, where we hunt
rabbits and watch the stars. Borders are something that we
want to keep safe, so any attacks will be dealt with seriously.
WindClan cats are closer to StarClan then others, giving us the
strength we have to keep our clan alive. We are not always

» You have traveled for days looking for a new home. A new life and a new start. You wince at the painful memories of your last home which was demolished by evil, powerful rogues. Your paws are sore and bleeding from walking and you look around. Behind you is a dark, dense forest and you can already sense danger wafting from the forest sending shivers down your spine. In front of you is a vast moorland with large rolling hills, tall grass, and heather. In the very heart of the moor, the largest hills are in a circle as if surrounding something. It felt important but dangerous as well. Perhaps I can just cross over these moors and find a smaller, less dense and scary forest than the one behind me You think and begin to take your first steps into the moorland. The springy, soft grass soothes some of the pain in your bleeding paws. After a while when your a little less than halfway across the moorland, you hear a rustle from behind you. You freeze, your heart beating rapidly, and your breathing quickens. You manage to steady your breathing. You hadn't noticed how nervous you were until you heard that rustle. You take a deep breath. Gathering your courage, you turn around to see that the tall grass and heather are in fact rustling. "Hello? Is anyone there?" No answer. You blink in surprise and inspect the heather once more. It is completely still. In one blink, the heather was still and now it was gently swaying in the wind just like before. Irritated and scared, you stomp up to the heather and swipe an unsheathed paw through the plant, but it goes straight through and you realize that your just swiping at the air and the poor plant. Frightened, you back away staring at the heather in question but it was still simply swaying in the wind. Sighing, you hope you can get across these moorlands, and fast. At first the moors seemed calm and reassuring and a lot less frightening than the forest but you were obviously wrong. You turn around and gingerly take a step forward and start walking faster than you were before. All of a sudden a dark brown she cat leaped out of the heather and you yowl in surprise jolting back and scrambling backwards. Instead you hit another cat. You turn around in surprise. This cat was a long haired she cat with yellow eyes and long legs. Beside her was a light brown tabby tom. The long haired she cat's gaze is smug along with the toms. You turn around and the first she cat is stalking toward you, as if she were stalking prey. A smirk curled onto her muzzle at your horrified expression. The she cat stops in front of you, and you can really actually see what this cat looks like. Before you were too shocked to see what the cat looked like. She is a short haired slender dark brown she cat with coal black tabby stripes and the most intimidating and alluring eyes you had ever seen. Muscles rippling under her shiny, well kept pelt. She was terrifying. "I'd like to inform you that you are trespassing on WindClan territory." She growled clearly irritated and she flicked her tail. Obviously, this she cat was the leader or some high ranked cat, for the cats behind you were silent. "WindClan? Whats that?" You ask tilting your head in confusion. The she cat sighed and rolled her eyes. "Did you even know you crossed the border?" The she cat asks you and you shake your head. "I'm Birdflight Deputy of WindClan. Behind you are superior warriors of WindClan, Lightningstorm and Windystorm. WindClan is a powerful group of cats. We are swift, fierce and loyal. Now, we will escort you to two places; out of our moorland, never to be seen again, or to our camp so you can join WindClan and learn what it is to be a true warrior. It's your choice."

» WindClan is an efficient Clan. They are swift hunters and fierce fighters. They follow the warrior code like every other Clan. They are fast, swift, and determined cats that will never give up.
And you don't want to be on WindClan's bad side....
WindClan cats are fiercely loyal and tough. They take pride in being the closest clan to their warrior ancestors and they often sleep under the stars in Green-leaf. They are swift and agile cats and can run faster than any other cat in all the clans. They are strong, nimble, and light-footed cats built for running and fighting. Thanks to their speed they can overcome the speed of a rabbit and an enemy warrior easily. Their camp is surrounded by large hills making it hard to enter camp if you don't know where to go. WindClan cats are stationed on top of the hills that surround camp so they can alert the clan easily of any intruders. WindClan cats also use tunnels to their advantage for travel and access to other clan's territories, although, they barely use the tunnels that connect to other clan's territories. Also, WindClan cats are known for their love of open spaces. They are quick witted and are very intelligent. They also tend to be easily offended, though they are intelligent enough to not start battles between other Clans all the time, like other clans tend to do. WindClan cats also have the most knowledge about Twolegs. They learnt most of this knowledge by spying on the Twolegs and predicting their actions so they can use it to their advantage in the future. They also learnt some of this knowledge from the two barn cats, Pebble and Chill, who live in the abandoned barn on their territory. They are swift and fierce cats and are unstoppable if provoked.

» WindClan's camp is in the middle of a vast moorland with a couple rolling hills and streams. The actual camp is surrounded by some of the tallest hills in the moorland and the hills form a circle. Cats are often stationed on the hills so they can easily see who is coming in and out of camp. Cats can also easily see if there are intruders so WindClan is always prepared. In the center of these tall hills is a beautiful clearing which is the camp. The camp is very sheltered and protected. In the past WindClan tended to have a more open camp but in the present they learnt it was better to have a strong, somewhat sheltered camp. Although, WindClan cats can still sleep under the stars and their view of StarClan is barely blocked. The camp has one medium sized tree and its branches and leaves shade the clan in Green-leaf. There is tall grass and bushes in the camp as well. There is also a cave in one of the hills which acts as the Medicine Cat's Den and there is an opening on one side of the camp that connects to the tunnels. Besides the tall hills that surround WindClan, Outlook Hill is close by so that WindClan cats can see the borders and see if there are any intruders. They also have many herbs they collect by the RiverClan border and many trees linger into WindClan's territory by ThunderClan's border. They use berries and nuts as bait so the prey is tricked into coming outside in Leaf-bare. WindClan has also acquired the therma-scope making it extremely easy to hunt prey.

» WindClan cats are known for their incredible speed. They are the fastest clan and take pride in their speed. They also can easily catch rabbits by chasing after them and pouncing on them. From day one, an apprentice must learn this speed and stamina a WindClan warrior has. A tactic that is often used with apprentices to increase their stamina and speed, is to have the apprentice sprint to the border and back. Another special skill is WindClan's tunneling ability. Long ago, a leader memorized the tunnels and used claw marks as signs to show where each tunnel led to. WindClan cats also learnt the scents and how to tell how far below and how close to the surface they were. With training, any WindClan cat can easily tell you how tall the ceiling of the tunnel is and how close to the surface you were at. These tunnels were also great for quick travel and can be used in battle to ambush your opponent or to sneak into another clan's territory without being seen at all.

At first, WindClan was a small clan. Lotus-star was the leader at the time and named Honeytongue deputy of WindClan. Next, Honeytongue became Honeystar and named Birdflight as deputy. Fernleaf was the medicine cat at the time. Soon, WindClan began to grow into a much larger clan. Fernleaf went missing, and Sagedapple became medicine cat.
