~6 of the members of the pack have run into a bear just outside the north part of the territory and decided to take it on trying to scare it off or something. Mara took off to help when she heard the howling. If you want to run after her and try to catch up though go for it. ~

Paladin heard the squeal in the distance and lifted his head from his paws. He grunted as he sat up. He shook his pelt wildly and pelted after the scent of his mate and the others. He stopped when he saw his mate, but then stormed back after her. His pace natched hers and he got up next to her. He let out short, cold breaths as he tried to reach the desperate cries.

~I would recommend chacking the available ranks about. Warriors, Hunters, Trainees, Pups and the Omega Female position are still available. Back to the RP...~

Mara looked at Padalin briefly then looked back in the direction they were headed. Throwing her head back she let out a loud howl. The strange scent grew stronger, as did the scent of her pack mates. Her heart beat wildly and small clouds came from her mouth and nose as she exhaled.

Akiro lifted his nose. He could smell Mara and Padalin coming. He turned to the others. "They're coming!" He said exitedly. "Mara and Padalin are coming!" Skaarsgard grinned. Finally!

Paladin arrived and slowed the speed of his pawsteps. He hushed his pawsteps to a silent trot as he saw the gigantic thing. What... he thought to himself.

Mingra launched herself across the clearing. Her back legs thrusted off the ground and she landed roughly on the mother's back. The bear howled as Mingra fought for control. Suddenly, the bear stood on her hind legs, throwing Mingra across the clearing violently. She hit the ground with a moan, and lay there, breathing heavily. Stupid, fat, ugly bear. That hurt.

Mara didn't stop. Instead she picked up her speed and slammed her full body weight into the animal, leaving it stumbling to regain it's balance. What is this creature. it's huge! But it's slow and clumsy... Still the claws are something to avoid. Mara was furious. She lowed her upper body to the ground, her fur bristling as she made an attempt to stay out of the animalsreach. She growled, gaze fixed on it waiting warning it to stay back. She stood over with her forepaws over Mingra incase the bear took another swipe. "Everyone get back. I'm calling off this attack." she growled.

Akiro growled "Mingra! Are you ok!?" He called. He tackled the bear in the stomach. The bear roared loudly and swiped at him with its claws but Akiro dodged and landed 5 feet away from the bear. He got ready to punce again.

Akiro backed off as Mara told everyone to back off. He glared at the bear. The bear was glaring at them while her cubs cowered behind her legs. Akiro felt kind of bad for the you cubs. They were barely 2 years old and they already watched a huge fight.

Tenebris leaped away from the bear, bristling and baring his teeth as he backed towards Mingra. Mara may have called off the attack, but the bear might not understand. It was still swinging its head back and forth menacingly, a growl rumbling in its throat. The sound was so loud it made the ground tremor beneath his paws. He stepped back and turned his full attention to his mate. "Are you okay?" She'd been thrown far and hard. The thud that had announced her contact with the hard ground has been sickening to his ears. Fear had cascaded over him when he'd seen her still lying where she had fallen, ad he was still frightened that Mingra might have broken a bone.

Mingra let out a low whimper, struggling to get to her feet, "Don't worry about me!" She howled, her voice cracking, "I just need a quick breather! Keep fighting." She glanced over at Tenebris and nodded. She wanted him to know that she was fine and will be back in the fight soon.

Mara Continued growling at the beast. She shifted backward slightly and shot toward the bear snapping her jaws with her lips curled back in a snarl. She did her best to get the bear to back away without injuring herself or the bear any further. "She is only protecting her cubs. We are the trespassers. This is their territory." Mara said to her packmates while her gaze never left the bear/ "It's foolish to take on a mother when she things her cubs are in danger." Mara slowly stepped backward making sure to stand between the bear and the rest of the pack.

Sora yawned wide and rolled to her paws. After a good nap, the jagged slice of a wound through her paw pad no longer hurt so much. She could only thank Nkri later. The lean Hunter shook the snow from her fur and glanced around the camp. It was eerily silent, lacking the usual murmur of conversation that circulated the dens. Even Nkri was missing. Just as Sora was about to howl for her Packmates, a roar echoed down the mountain, dislodging the clumps of snow that clung to the branches above her. Her packmates where up there? "I can't leave the camp unguarded," she mused out loud. But they might need help! Hunters don't guard anyways! "They don't fight either!" Sora argued. She winced. Talking to herself, and having an argument with her own thoughts. She was going crazy. The brown she-wolf paced, indecisive.

"We can't take this thing on right now and I won't be responsible for orphaning the two young cubs." Mara took a step toward the animal hoping that it would back away or leave.

Paladin pranced up to his mate with a jump. "Mara, we have to either run or wait for it to run. This thing won't leave to far from the cubs. We could run easily," he growled at the bear. He couldn't bring himself to kill this thing. But then again, what is it killed his packmates? He tried to growl to scare it off, but it growle back, even more intenser.

Akiro padded up. "Are we going to fight the bear, or are we going to run?" He asked. He glare at the bear. It was sitting protectively around its cubs. The cubs stared back at the wolves with round, frightened eyes.
