My Friend, My Enemy (LAD, SH, Updated)

I've decided to actually write out the LAD and SH RP into a story. 
I'll be following what was posted in each RPG, but I'l elaborate things, edit things out, add more stuff, etc. The story is even going to extend to the next RP sequel coming up.
I'll be doing this on Google Docs, but I'll add to this periodically, and you guys can suggest things for me to add, or request that I changed something. Ultimately, I'll get to decided on whether I'll apply the change you wanted in the story, but as long as its reasonable, there shouldn't be a problem.
Thanks guys!

The night was a claw-moon. A mere sliver of pure-white light that glowed down onto the dark ground below. Trees stretched in every direction but north, where it ended in a flat grassland that extended to the horizon, broken only by a well-populated town only a couple miles away. A good strip of dense wood separated civilization from wilderness, like a boundary drawn between two very different worlds. It wasn't a cold night, but it took more than a warm breeze to warm the massive stone fortress.
It stood, imposing yet cleverly concealed in a slight dip in the forest floor, on the other side of the forest line. It was an ancient structure, fortified with out-of-date cannons and a shallow moat filled with dark, opaque water. The steel and stonework was obviously designed for siege, however, built to withstand centuries of aging and a dozen attacks. It was a formidable thing to confront, especially with eyes watching every hour, every day.
Will was crouching on the roof of the castle-like building, keeping watch between two stone buttresses. He was clad in a black jacket and matching jeans, rather plain on the outside and not drawing much attention. On night-duty, he had towatch the streets for signs of those irritating Life-Givers. Smirking, Will drew himself up on his elbows.
I'm gonna give you a hell of a life.

Before the sun was even up and over the horizon, Penny was already rousing Sala, standing in front of her door impatiently. This fortress was more of a castle, built more for comfort than for siege. It lay tens of miles away from the its enemy, lying snugly beside a fast-flowing river that cut diagonally across a well-kept clearing. The former leader of the Life-Givers had even gone to extravagance and planted flowers among the tall grass. Through the windows, there was the merest hint of golden light flowing in past the not-quite-opaque curtains, illuminating a budding tulip.
“Hurry up,” Penny complained, realizing the Sala was still not finished with checking the papers stacked on the desk pushed in its lonely corner in the austere room. “Can’t you do that later?” Her mind was already wandering to ways she could torture and scare the fellow Life-Giver into submission. “It’s barely past five for God’s sake!” she snapped, trying and failing to get Sala’s attention.
The tall girl remained bent over the flat table top, staring at several documents that had been given to her from Jackie. “Wait a second, will you?” Sala muttered, shifting yet another paperweight off some scout report or another. She’d been saying that for the last fifteen minutes, each time with a furrowed brow and a scowl of annoyance.
Penny straightened from her slouch against the doorjamb, her eyes flashing with uncontrollable anger. Fire danced on her fingertips, summoned and accompanied with an immediate sour expression. She knew it wouldn’t hurt her. They were created by her, simply a vision. Nonetheless, it frightened others who didn’t understand the cause of her mental insanity and the extent to which she would extend the visions.
Thrusting out her hands, the Life-Giver tossed the visionary fire onto Sala, watching in gleeful delight as the girl’s clothes caught on the orange flames. Sala’s yelp of startled fear brought a cruel smile to Penny’s lips as she watched Sala swat at the imaginary fire, dropping the heavy, stone paperweight in the process. It thudded onto the mahogany desk, gouging a dent in the antique wood .
Sala’s gray-blue eyes met Penny’s through the flickering fire and smoke, and she suddenly stopped panicking as understanding dawned on her narrow face. Anger followed a heartbeat later. “Stop that,” she snarled, the growl too animalistic to be normal.
The smile slipped off Penny’s face as Sala glared at her with narrowed, reptilian eyes as she half-Shifted, the vertical pupils eerie and almost repulsive, even to disturbing little, insane Penny.
Without a word, the vision vanished as quickly as it had appeared. Sala inspected the deep scratch in the wood with annoyance, glaring at Penny over her shoulder. “Thanks a lot,” she muttered, dropping the papers and making a rather rude gesture at her friend. Sala stalked past the younger girl and vanished down the long hallway of bedrooms.
Sala plunked herself down on a chair at the table, her fingers tapping the worn and scratched wood. It was covered with old coffee stains and darker, sticky remains of substances she didn’t want to know about.
Plucking a muffin from the paper plate, Sala nibbled it carefully as she flipped through a weaponry book someone must’ve left on the table. The muffin just a bit dry and stale in its flavor, the result of being left out in the open for more than a day.
Penny pulled out the chair next to Sala and stared at the plate of muffins listlessly. She wasn’t that hungry at all. Glancing sideways to her companion, she noticed that Sala was too busy munching her muffin to pay her much attention. Bored, Penny sighed inwardly.
Maybe I could go out and have some fun, she thought, a small smile lifting the corners of her mouth. Silently, she snuck out the door and into the city.

Halt leaned against the back of the chair, playing with a leather-hilted saxe knife in his hands. It was already 8:15 am, yet Will had not returned from night-duty yet. He wasn’t that worried. His brother had probably fallen asleep.
The Death-Bringers leader stood to his feet with panther-like grace, glancing at where Baylee was playing with the python. It writhed in her hands, striking out like lightning as it strove to escape the girl’s tight grasp.
I don’t really know how to continue the Death-Bringers side of the story right now, so I guess I’ll just do the Life-Givers side until I get sudden-inspiration.

Sala sighed, staring out at the “fog” that had suddenly descended over the wilderness, blurring everything into a milky oblivion. She scowled, leaning her elbows on the windowsill as she struggled to make out any moving shape.
It would go away soon, when Penny had gone out of range. There was a limit to how far that maniac could meddle with people’s minds, creating illusions that were so real it was hard not to believe in them. “Maybe I should’ve left her alone,” Sala muttered, eyeing the already-dissipating fog balefully. “Or maybe I should’ve knocked her out with a kick.”
Reverting to her preferred werecat form, Sala directed her mind to something more pleasant than Penny. Everyone else still seemed to be asleep, the fortress quiet except for the drip-drip of leaks and the occasional creak and groan of squeaky floorboards.
Despite the warm sunlight creeping in through the windows, the place seemed desolate and lonely to Sala. More like an abandoned war structure than an inhabited castle. A sudden creak, louder and sharper than the rest, suddenly blasted in her sensitive ears. The scent of fear reached her werecat-enhanced nose, and Sala quailed, whirling to confront her pounding heart. The hallway was empty though, and the serenity had returned. She frowned, turning her head.
“Oh.” A small grunt escaped her when she realized she’d been standing in front of Xurxo’s door. A nightmare maybe?
Sala jumped again as the door swung open, revealing Xurxo with his violin case strung across his back. The Healer didn’t see her at first, and she retreated a couple pawsteps quickly, before his feet squashed any of her paws.
When Xurxo’s eyes finally found her, he instinctively held his hands up with surprise at the unfamiliar creature. He stood there for a moment, probably recognizing that it was only Sala in yet another mythical creature form. "Why are you awake at this early time of day?” Xurxo asked finally, bending down so he was eye-to eye with the large werecat. “Are you having sleeping problems? I'm not sure my healing powers go as far as sleeplessness..."
Sala opened her mouth, then glanced behind her as Penny appeared at the edge of her vision, looking pleased of herself. An ugly pit of anger settled in her stomach as Penny chirped innocently, “Hi Sala.”
Choosing not to answer, Sala simply backed up a bit more until her tail was brushing the wall. “Hi, I don’t think we’ve met before,” Xurxo said behind her, sounding a little hesitant and awkward at the sudden appearance of another person. “I’m Xurxo...”
An uneasy silence followed, as Penny regarded him carefully, apparently taking her time answering. Sala’s fur prickled, her eyes flicking back and forth between the two. It was like watching a very quiet, non-physical tennis match.
“Penny woke me up,” she interjected suddenly, deciding to answer Xurxo’s earlier question. Feeling both pairs of eyes turning to her, Sala continued quickly, with a venomous glance at Penny. “And she went off terrorizing the people out there. For fun.” [awesome]
Huffing with annoyance at her friend and her ability to turn anything into an awkward situation, the heavy-shouldered werecat leaped to her feet, her entire posture reeking of indigence at the empty silence that still followed her.
Sala nosed open the pantry door, Shifting back to a human to grab a box of muffins. These wouln’t be stale, hopefully. As the door banged shut behind her, Xurxo appeared, walking quickly around the corner. He kept glancing back down the hallway, looking as nervous as a cat. A cat in the midst of sleepings dogs, maybe.

You should add why the Death-Bringers attacked the Lfe-Givers in the first place and make up some complicated history or something
I guess I should work on a coverage for the original LAD then xD I'm still trying to figure out what to put on it though o.o

It's been a long time since I last updated this. Sorry guys! Been really busy, and I haven't added much to Googe docs either. Hopefully I'll be able to add some more to complete Chapter 2 by Wednesday!

Very good so far! You are a much better writer than I'll ever be. I like Penny. XD I find this interesting because it happened before I joined the Roleplay.

I haven't checke the doc in a while but I like the update Right now I'm making an effort to raise my grades so I'll be reading it from here more often.
Also, the descriptions are nice, as they do show your extended vocabulary, but there are so many of them To balance things out, you could either add lore story material or use less description.

Lol, ugh, Maple told me too. One of my faults in writing is that I tend to over-elaborate.
I updated some more! Not much, but All Region auditions are coming up and I'm a little busy. Hope to add some more soon~

Brightyy, I think you're trying to show off your vocabulary. We all know how good you are, no need xDD And sometimes it's better to use simple sentences. For example, short sentences can create more excitement when there's action. Mrs. Woody always bugs us about that.
