Willowstar continued hunting until she had the pigeon, a squirrel, two shrews and a nice juicy vole. She returned to camp and put them all on the fresh-kill pile, then grabbed someone's rabbit and returned to her den to eat. She watched the Clan as she ate, pleased. The apprentices are all growing so well, she thought.

"Right, just when they open their eyes, call me." Flamewhisker hurried over to Willowstar's den "Willowstar are you back?" When he saw her pelt in the back of the can he continued "I think it's time we made Lionpaw and Rainpaw warriors they did great in their assessments and today Lionpaw caught a giant squirrel." He told the leader about his apprentice with pride. "So could you hold the ceremony tonight?"

Lionpaw could just imangine it she could be Lionstorm or Lioneyes! Wow Lionstorm that slums cool!!

Willowstar finished her rabbit and saw Flamewhisker approaching her. "Of course!" she replied when he told her about Lionpaw. My kit... she thought, heart swelling with pride. Willowstar got up and leapt onto the (is it like Highrock or something?) Highrock. "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the Highrock!" she called.

~haha I'm too lazy to do the whole ceremony thing so can I just tell you guys their names?~

Furiousstorm smiled. He laid down and watched the kits tumble around. He purred. He laughed every time they did something mischevious or if they ran into someone. He licked Appleblossom on the cheek and purred. He noticed Willowstar called the clan for a meeting. He just laid by Appleblossom and watched it from there.

Flamewhisker watched with pride as His apprentice picked the shoulder of the leader he saw pride in Willowstar's eyes as she named her kits. ( Lionpaw and Rainpaw are sisters!)

Lionpaw listened ito her mother ad she called her and her sister's new names. She saw her mother's eyes glow with pride and she looked at her mentor who was looking as pfidful as Willowstar. She saw Whiteclaw poke her head out of the nursery to see Rainpaw receive her warrior name.

Whiteclaw watched from the nursery as she saw the joy in her apprentice's eyes. I wish Moonkit and Shadowkit could see this. She looked at her kits then continued watching her apprentice.

Rainpaw felt as happy as a butterfly. She could just imagine her warrior name, Rainwhisker? Rainclaw? Rainpelt? Rainstorm? I hope it's Rainstorm... Or Rainwhisker.

~wait they're sisters? you didn't tell me that~

With pride in her chest, Willowstar called out the new warrior names of her two kits then sent them to guard the entrance for the night. "Great job my kits, Lionsoul and Rainblossom! Guard the camp well." With those words, the silver tabby licked the ears of the two new warriors then padded toward her den to rest.

Flamewhisker padded to the warriors den and lay in his nest the one next to him was empty, Whiteclaw slept there. He was glad he had kits but he missed her at night.

Lionsoul sat in the clearing for silent vigil Lionsoul, I didn't think of that! I love it! she sat in the clearing waiting for the sun to rise so she could be rescued from the silence by a warrior.

Whiteclaw watched as Rainheart walked to the center of the clearing. She looked down at her kits. I hope you two have beautiful warrior names like theirs'. She turned and layed down in her nest beside her kits.

Rainheart watched as everyone left the clearing, and she sat beside her sister. I love this name! I just wish I could talk... or at least sleep. I bet Lionsoul feels the same way. Oh well, If this makes me a warrior, then I'll do it! Maybe I could mentor Moonkit or Shadowkit when they are of age.

Willowstar watched the two shadows at the camp entrance with pride. MY kits have grown up, she thought, eyes shining with tears of pleasure that wouldn't fall. She entered her den, where she sat watching as the moon crept over the camp, until finally she drifted into the world of dreams.

Silentwind padded our of her den. "iIf no one's busy, can someone run out and get me some more borage leaves? We've got a lot of kits at the time and we need lots."

Appleblossom stared at the moon, her kits sleeping blissfully in her nest. "Starclan...What is Starclan? Are they real? Or an illusion? They seem real to my clanmates, my mate, even to Rain. I know they might be out their, but I...just can't believe in them. I hope, they'll accept my kits thought. Stormkit, Applekit, and Blossomkit will grow to the will and command of Starclan." Appleblossom thought, deciding she could not sleep, Appleblossom stepped out of the den. At moment she did, her beautiful tabby fur changed to a glistening silver. Padding toward Silentwind, she mewed softly, "I will." then she turned and began to leave the camp.

Whiteclaw awoke to find that Appleblossom had left her nest. She picked up her kits one by one and placed the beside Moonkit and Shadowkit so they could be kept warm, and she fell back asleep.

"Are you sure, Appleblossom? It's pretty late and you should stay near your kits. I can send someone else or you can wait until it gets light," Silentwind meowed.

Flamewhisker walked into the clearing the next morning to relive the new warriors of their vigil "It's dawn your vigil is over go and rest." Flamewhisker's paws brought him to the nursery he looked at his kits Shadowkit opened ( his?) Eyes and looked up at Flamewhisker (I can be a kit?) " Daddy?" The kit questioned him "Yes it's me Shadowkit. And you've opened your eyes!" Flamewhisker marveled "We all did at moonhigh daddy!" Shadowkit exclaimed.

Lionsoul curled up in her nest and drifted to sleep. Her eyes shot open she got up and realizedshe was in the apprentices den. She got up and padded into the warriors den.

It seems like something is bothering Appleblossom... Maybe I should talk to her. Furiousstorm thought. He looked at her and purred. "I'll watch the kits if you need me to." he meowed, knowing it sounded funny since he was a tom, but he was the kits step father... He smiled at her and waited for her reply.

Flamewhisker looked down at Whiteclaw "Whiteclaw, wake up Moonkit and Shadowkit have opened their eyes!"

Lionsoul stretched and got out of the den she went to her mothers den and poked her head in. "Mother? May I come in?"

~Shadowkit is male, and Moonkit is female.~

Whiteclaw awoke to the sound of Shadowkit. "Did I hear..." she stopped and saw Moonkit and Shadowkit surrounding Flamewhisker. A smile appeared on her face. "They opened their eyes!" Moonkit ran over to her mother, "Mommy! When can I be an apprentice? I want to go outside and play."

Rainheart heard the voices of Shadowkit and Moonkit. As tired as she was, she went straight to the nursery. "It's outstanding... I have to get Lionsoul!" she ran toward her mother's den. "Lionsoul! Shadowkit and Moonkit have opened their eyes!"

Silent wind passed into the nursery. "Your kits are very healthy, Whiteclaw. I'm sure they'll be apprenticed very soon! They have very nice eyes now that we can see them."

"Thank you Silentwind," Whiteclaw replied.

~Okay, Rockpaw, ill be Shadowkit~

Flamewhisker looked around and raised his head with pride two beautiful kits, and they were his.

Lionsoul looked at her sister racing toward her "And?" Lionsoul really thought kits were gross. But she was a kit once and secretly some of her own. She kinda liked Pheonixglare (if that's okay with Lighty).

Shadowkit looked up at his mother "Mommy? May I be an apprentice?" his blue eyes gleamed and he cocked his head as his father lost ouut a mrrow of laughter.

"Not yet sweety. How about you two go outside and play with Rainheart?" Whiteclaw told her kits. She purred in amusement and followed them outside.

"Lionsoul, don't you see? These could be our future apprentice's. Since you obviously don't care I'm going to play with Moonkit," Rainheart stalked away and went back to the nursery.

Moonkit darted out of the nursery and tumbled into Rainheart. She tumbled and tossed and rolled playfully and started chasing a butterfly around the camp.

Flamewhisker looked at his kits tumbling around play-fighting and he found himself instinctivley giving them advice "Put your back into that swipe Moonkit! Don't forget your back claws Shadowkit!"

Lionsoul ran after her sister "WAIT! I didn't mean it like that but, I-I'm sorry, may I play?" Lionsoul looked at the kits in deep thought they're so cute she thought.

"What's so funny Mommy?" Shadowkit asked when both his parents giggled when he asked to be an apprentice. "Yay Lionsoul is playing! Now can we play moss-ball Rainheart?"

"We are just happy to see your enthusiasm," meowed Whiteclaw.

Rainheart whispered to Shadowkit, "They are remembering their kithood." Then out loud she said, "Sure, let's play moss-ball!" She tossed the ball to Shadowkit, then glanced at Lionpaw.

"Over here!" Moonkit mewed to her brother. "Toss it to me next!"
