USA for the win!

I saw the opening, well a little of it, then I see the results on the news in the morning.

In the opening I thought the nurses would save them(the kids in glowing beds.), not thousands of Mary Popins it was just weird. The beginning was weird too. My uncle kept making jokes,

Me: What ARE they doing?
Uncle: They're bypassing time, first they were a farming economy now they are an industrial economy.
Me: ...

It's not really a joke, but still. That's what I remember.

Canada's women's artistic gymnastics finished in fifth place at the finals yesterday! the team has never even qualified for the finals before. they couldn't get a medal, but fifth place is pretty good.

The USA got first in women's gymnastics team!
And now for swimming. Shame on Michael Phelps for cruising forward and getting silver in butterfly when he could have done one more stroke and got gold.

Canada finally won its first gold medal Women's Trampoline. i can't spell her name, but people call her Rose for short. i think she's fairly new to the olympics. the other Canadian trampolinist won silver at Beijing, but she won gold in London cuz the Chinese trampolinist fell. so she did kind of win by default apparently, the Chinese trampolinist shouldn't have fallen off because when she did, it was supposedly the easiest place to not mess up but she did. o.O

China is one of the countries that excels at that too. o_0

In fact, China's good at almost everything. Now the U.S is winning, I believe.

Yes, go on Yahoo, it says how many medals each country have, well the top 5 or something, and wee have the most, followed by China.

On NBC, they have a medal count. It's us, then China, Great Britain, and I forgot who's next.

On NBC, they said they received a tweet that said, "If Michael Phelps never races again, I'll eat my fins."

China just passed us.

Canada's in 11th we're only good at winter sports. We have all the seasons so it's hard to train for summer sports war round. The mountains still have snow for winter Olympics

I have been to canada once when i was a baby but i dont remember it. I really want to go again.

Also, we won our first gold in tennis after like 100 years.

I hope USA can pull through!! China isnt as good in athelitics as USA is, and that is mainly what the second week is.

Thailand is only good at strength sports we dominate boxing (occasionally) and we won silver in women's weightlifting, even though the athlete broke her arm e.e

Did anyone see Japan's men gymnastics? weren't very good.. :/ that sucks. I feel bad for them.

I watched it. :O they're good, but they're too sensitive to pressure. I really like Kohei Uchimura though xD he's good at individual events.

I want to either be in the Olympic's gymnastics, join a circus, or be a pro dancer. Seems like the gymnastics is going to be hard for me though..

Anyways, didn't they fall a lot or something? I didn't get to watch it, I was busy jogging at my Grandma's at the time, but I heard they were really bad..

Did you guys hear about the scandal in badminton? The teams were purposely playing horribly so they could face a weaker team in the next round.
