Description/Picture: Beautiful silver horse with white mane and tail, with pretty blue-green eyes

Habitat:
A pretty pasture, next to a barn on a hilltop. It's 600 acres of land. The farmer always puts the food in the barn, but most of the time, they are running around in the pasture, having fun.
Climate:
Dry summer, but the highest temerature it's been is 92 degrees (104 where I live ).

Cole stumbled and shook as she stared into Phantom's anger eyes. "I was just running! Get over it!" She regained her balance and started galloping past the two siblings.

Phantom snorted again. "Running my foot!" he snapped. "Going straight past you like there's no more room in this entire pasture!" Shaking his head, the black stallion trotted off to stand beneath the shade of an oak tree, and Arrow continued heading toward Rose, who was actually good at having friendly conversation.

Patriot woke up and watched Phantom and Cole fighting. He sighed, I just woke up and there's already fighting He snorted and trotted over to the pond, drinking and enjoying the warm sun on his back.

Milkshake shook his mane. There was so much hay all over it and the heat was only making it stick. He grunted, walking over to take a drink. When he finished his morning routine, he trotted over to sit by Rose. He nuzzled her mane. "Fine morning, isn't it? Minus the squabbling."

Cole snorted at the stallion's words. She galloped off to the pond and greeted Patriot with a quaint nod.

~Horses don't sit! ~

Arrow flicked her head, looking embarrassed. "Not your fault," Phantom nickered softly, arching his neck high-spiritedly. He looked up as he saw a figure approaching the pasture from the farmhouse. It was the master, the one who enjoyed riding the horses with his friends that often came over. The master opened the barn door and vanished inside. Arrow followed his gaze, and announced, "Look; the master's here to pick some of us out for a ride!" The dapple-gray mare tossed her head, craning her neck. There were several more figures approaching from the farmhouse, jogging after the master.

~whatever, "sit" means to tuck your front legs in and put your back legs by your side. something like that, not like a frog like position cats sit in ~

Milkshake looked at the figures coming towards them. Well, I could use a nice jog to loose my muscles he thought.

Cole dipped her nose into the water and drank. When she noticed the masters coming out of the corner of her eye, she jerked her head up and got tense. Cole tossed her head to the side and trotted hastily over to the protection of a tree.

Phantom flicked his ears, shaking himself as the masters entered the pasture, halters (you guys know what they are, right?) in hand. Mr.Delaney, as one of the men were called, chose Patriot. Another man called Mr.Hawthorn picked out Milk, and Cole, Arrow, Spirit, Rose, and Phantom were also chosen. Arrow nickered in surprise. The Master had invited a lot of his friends for today's ride.

Milk neighed when a little girl (idk what horses call humans) began to comb his mane. She fed him apples and prepared a saddle for him. Apparently, her name was Annie (so stereotypical ).

When one of the friends of the master tried to saddle Cole, she neighed and back up. She then turned and started to trot away.

Phantom shook himself and backed away a couple of paces when a boy, about 17, 18 years old, chose him. The black stallion had seen him many times before around the barn; he was the master's apprentice, almost as a good rider has the master. His name was Trevor, apparently. After a couple of minutes of backing away from Trevor, the boy finally managed to get the halter on his head.

Arrow balked when one of master's friends reached a hand out to her. But he seemed friendly enough, and the master seemed to trust him, so the dapple-gray mare finally allowed him to slip the halter over her head and lead her over to the fence.

~It is fine by me.~

Spirit flicked his brother's ear with his tail as he trotted away toward the Master and Phantom. "Hey." he said, looking around, his expression bored. Then as a rider began to saddle him, they young boy fed him a carrot, he stamped his hoves, demanding more. "I want more." he said, and the boy rolled his eyes and then continued to saddle Spirit.

Finally the young man caught her and started to saddle her. Cole snorted in protest and whipped her tail around. The bay mare let out a short neigh as her rider led her away from the pond.

~People can't understand horses.....~

Phantom allowed Trevor to saddle him, clinching it to make sure it was tight enough, slipping the bridle over his halter. As he reached for the reins, Phantom shied away, skittering to the side. "Hey!" Trevor reached for the reins again, but the black stallion was too fast for him, he slipped to the side, easily avoiding the boy's outstretched hand. "Hurry up Phantom!" Arrow neighed, snorting at him. Rolling his eyes, Phantom slid to a prancing stop and finally allowed the wary Trevor to get a firm grip on the reins.

Once her father (or whoever) helped her get all the gear on, she stepped up on a stool and swung her leg over Milkshake's back. He tried to stay calm knowing that she was a new rider. He kept shuffling on his hooves though, back and forth. When he felt weak hands grasp the reigns, he merely trotted forward.

Cole rolled her eyes at Phantom. He had a chance for freedom but he gave it up voluntarily. She flinched at the young man, who was around the age of Phantom's rider, patted her back.

Trevor swung himself easily into the saddle, gripping the reins without tensing, yet firmly. The black stallion trotted in a circle, and he felt the pressure of the bit in his mouth, telling him to stay still. Huffing and snorting, Phantom stopped. Trevor probably wanted to wait until the others were saddled and ready for the trail ride. He spotted Cole staring at him. "We're not wild horses," he snapped impatiently. "And if you're obedient, they're far less likely to sell you off to some other ranch, where the master there may be a brutal man who whips you for no reason."

Arrow obediently allowed the man to saddle her quickly, and for him to get on her back. She was rewarded with a carrot and a pat on the shoulder. Tossing her head in response, Arrow stretched her neck toward the pond, hoping the man would get the message. It took a couple seconds, but she was finally allowed to walk over to the pond and get a drink.

~OMG!!! The farmer should have a horse riding class!!! :O~
A girl, about 14 years old, started to carefully put on the halter on her head. She didn't like, it, but she wanted to show the farmer that she was a great horse. She put a saddle on her, then carefully got on Rose. The girl's name was Cassie. Cassie always chose Rose anyways, so she was used to this. Cassie led Rose to the farmer, and the farmer smiled. "Go into the ring and ride her around." the farmer said to Cassie (Rose didn't understand ), so Cassie led her into the ring, and started to ride.

Patriot watched as the man apparently called Mr. Delaney saddled him. Patriot was surprised by how gentle the man was. "Your a good horse aren't you. Well, your master is lucky to have you and your friends." Mr. Delaney said gently petting Patriot and brushing his coal black mane. Patriot watched as the man started to climb onto Patriot. He seemed cautious. Patriot let the man get onto him. Mr. Delaney's strong hands gripped the reins. The man smiled and petted Patriot and fed him an apple.

Arrow finished drinking and tossed her head, holding it up high. "Ready for that trail ride?" Mr.Dupont, he was supposedly called, said to no one in particular. "I want to go on the dust trail," Trevor protested. "The mountain trail is boring." Phantom snorted and lowered his head. "We have new people today, Trevor. Its time for something easy for once," Mr.Dupont scolded.

Milkshake sensed the fear the young rider was feeling. Normally, he would panic and start bucking like crazy, but he forced himself to remain calm. Good thing, too, because the girl noticed and patted his head carefully. She gave him a few carrots and he licked her hand while chewing. Being an inexperienced rider, she chose to give him almost all the carrots in her saddlebag.

Cole forced herself not to buck as the rider hopped onto the saddle. She bent down to chew some grass while the young man argued calmly with the farmer, saying it was fine to go on the dust trail.

Cassie nodded. She knew everyone here anyways, since the studen'ts parents have to meet Mr. Dupont before taking this class. "Want me and Trevor to show the way?" she asked. Mr. Dupont nodded, and Cassie turned Rose around, and said, "Everyone, follow me and Trevor!" Then, Rose pulled into a slow, steady trot, making sure everyone was coming along.

Phantom huffed again as Trevor tugged on the reins and led him out front. Mr.Dupont waited until everyone else had gone ahead before tugging Arrow to take up the rear. Phantom dislike going at a set pace. The black stallion enjoyed racing ahead of everyone else, being in front.... His pace must've quickened, because Trevor was tugging gently on the reins, slowing him down.
