Moonbear's Farm

Intro: Welcome to Moonbear's barn [and surrounding area]. Moonbear is a loner/ farm cat who wants some companionship. He is more than happy to help any cat in need of a home, food and/or love.
Here is what he looks like:


Moonbear, a black and white tom with aqua eyes, was resting by the stream after having a delicious meal of fish. Life for him was good; a great beautiful place to live, with lots to eat, and little to worry about. Though his stomach was always full, his heart occasionally ached with loneliness.

Berry open her eyes and laughed, "WHAT?! I didn't eat anything! YOU ate the fish!" She pawed Brian's ear and giggled. She pounced on top of him, causing him to collapse. She got off of him and laid down next to him, waiting for him to respond.

Moonbear sniffed the air and replied to Cherry cheerfully. "Sure! Let's go." He began creeping up towards them. He crouched and waited for the right moment. Then he pounced on one of them. Trying not to use his claws, he simply pushed harder with his weight towards his prey. The mouse was stil struggling and he bit its neck before it could escape. "Well, that actually worked. Now we'll see if you can do the same." He picked up the mouse and began to eat it. He had been so occupied this morning, he forgot about breakfast.

"Lies," Brian shook his head, and looked at Berry with a disgusted face. He batted at her head, maybe a little to hard, and sent in her shock. The chocolate brown tom snorted, and made fake coughs, "Loser." He stood up, and shook the water out of his fur. Now the chocolate brown locks were hanging straight down, making him look weird. "Eek! My beautiful fur!" Brian licked his fur, unsatisfied with his new hairdue. He continued licking his fur, until it was normal again. The tom fell on his back, looking up at the pretty sky. "Most cats do this at night, but.. I like doing it during the day, to be different," He purred, his golden eyes shining in awe. His tail was calm, still not dry, but damp, same as the rest of his fur, though it looked much more wet.

Wolf returned the gesture, rubbing his muzzle against Raven's silky fur. He stood up and yawned widely, teeth flashing. "I'm starving," he purred, pushing the thought of Panther to the back of his mind. He'd think about it later, but right now was a time be with Raven. Wolf nosed her neck playfully. "Come on, let's go hunt. And then we can practice fighting again." His green eyes glowed down at her, happy. I wonder... if I will stay here for awhile? I don't want to leave... Wolf circled Raven once, tail high.

“Great job!” Cherry purred happily, and she bent down to give Moonbear a friendly lick between his ears. “I’m going to try now!” Cherry mewed, and then she stalked ahead a few paces, sniffing for traces of mice. ”There! Whoa. That mouse is huge! Moonbear will be so proud of me if I catch it!!” Cherry thought, and narrowed her eyes in concentration and then she lunged for the mouse. The mouse struggled vainly for a few heartbeats before Cherry added pressure down to the tiny create before she leaned down and bit its neck hard before it could escape. Cherry turned around, her green eyes bright with happiness, and set her catch down and purred to Moonbear “I caught it! I caught it!! I really caught some prey!!” she danced in a small circle, purring in excitement and she trotted around her catch, her eyes bright with happiness.

Moonbear was just cleaning himself after finishing the mouse when he heard Cherry's purr of excitement. He started purring along with her happily. "Great job!! Now you'll be able to hunt on your own soon." He licked her along the face. His aqua eyes beamed brightly at her.

Berry laughed. She go up and got the last fish and ate it. "Now I ate on of the fish!!!" Berry laughed. She laid down beside Brian and looked at the sky. "I do this too... I like looking at the clouds..." She saw a cloud that looked like a squirrel. "Look! That one looks like a squirrel!"

Cherry beamed at the tom, her face filled with happiness. After her quick meal, Cherry looked up at Moonbear and mewed “Should we take some prey back to the others? Or do we let them hunt on their own?” she asked. Stretching out on her side, she gave a happy purr and allowed the sunshine to soak into her calico pelt. ”Cherry! You haven’t groomed yourself in days! And now your sunning yourself in public?!” the embarrassed thought rang in her head and Cherry’s head snapped up and she began to groom her fur in even strokes.

"Does the big fat kitty need his food?" Raven purred, batting at Wolf's ears softly and sweetly. She whisked her tail underneath his chin, and purred. "Okay! I bet I'm better at hunting than you," her sandpaper tongue stuck out at the gray and white tom, and she ran out of the barn. "Bet you can't catch me!" Raven hissed mockingly sour, and continued running. She looked back to see if the gray and white tom with pretty green eyes that would probably be shining with determination or something close was chasing her, losing focus of what she was doing. Before she knew it, Raven flet herself crach into something soft, and looked down to see a black and white tom with aqua eyes with a soft pink nose. "M-Moonbear...?" She stuttered, feeling the cold go through her fur and straight to the bones. Raven was so cold she couldn't even move. "Wolf?" She looked around for the tom.

Brian whined, "My fish!" His face was a capital d, and he started sobbing like a kit. "That one looks like cats fighting over sushi!" Brian yowled as he jumped, "Like us!"

Wolf laughed as Raven shot like an arrow from the barn. No fighting skills or not, she was as fast as the wind. Wolf sprang after in pursuit, his paws thrumming rhythmically on the soft grass. As try as he might, he couldn't catch up to the slender gray she-cat. Distracted by the smells of fresh rain and prey, Wolf didn't see Raven crashing into Moonbear head on. When Wolf heard his name; however, he looked up sharply. "Raven?" He quickened his pace and skidded to a stop a few feet away from the two cats. "What...?" He met the blue eyes of the black-and-white tom and nodded slightly.

"Maybe," Moonbear meowed as continued cleaning himself. "Though I'm sure most of them will have caught something on their own."Noticing Cherry stretching and lying in the sun, he decided to join her. When she started cleaning her fur, he was about to offer some help, when Raven stumbled on to him. Moonbear looked in slight surprise. "Oh..Hey Raven..." He suddenly was aware that the dark grey and whit marked she-cat seemed to be frozen. "What's wrong?" He mewed with concern.

"Err.." Raven slowly got up, and sat next to Wolf. She looked at him for support, but deep inside she knew she was all on her own for this. For the first time since she was in the Farm, Raven felt lonely and scared. Moving closer to Wolf, she shuffled her paws, "I decided.. we should just be friends. I know even Wolf more," Raven gulped, and hid her face in Wolf's fur like she always did when she needed to be comforted. And it always worked. No matter how, she always ended up happy. "Please understand.." An idea popped in her mind, "Now you and Cherry can be together! I know she likes you." Raven purred, now looking at the calico she-cat instead of Moonbear. She really hoped Cherry and Moonbear were happy, because otherwise she'd feel guilty.

“Oh my! I..I. I never meant to take him from you, Raven!” Cherry cried, flattening her ears and she stared dejectedly at the ground. “….” Cherry sat silently, waiting to hear outraged yowls at her to get out. ”What did I do to make her not want to be with Moonbear?! He really loves her…more than he could ever love me!” Cherry thought sadly, then she pawed at the remains of her mouse.

Moonbear looked at Raven, then at Cherry, and finally he purred as he nuzzled Raven. "Thank you," he mewed softly. "I would like that very much." He turned back to look at Cherry who was crying. He got up right beside the calico she cat and pressed her close to his black and white fur. He purred soothingly and began to lick the top f her head. "Shh...It's okay...I like you too."

“R-really?” Cherry mewed, pressing her head into the black and white tom’s chest. Cherry inhaled the sweet hay filled scent of Moonbear’s fur and she purred so hard, her whole body began to shake. ”He really does like me! Moonbear likes me! I can’t believe it….and that means Wolf and Raven can be together and everyone can be happy!!!” Cherry thought happily, still curled up against Moonbear.

Wolf felt his stomach tighten, then relax. For a moment, he'd almost been afraid that Moonbear would insist on keeping a tenacious hold on Raven. He wasn't usually the jealous type but, for some reason, whenever Raven or another tom did something or said a particular thing, the tight feeling would return, along with an inward growl that work its way up to his throat and force itself out if not abated quickly. Wolf leaned down and licked Raven's cheek soothingly, nosing her on the side of her head the way he'd always nosed Panther when she was sad, depressed, or so angry she was speechless. Which reminded him of the strange trait his family possessed. When pushed too far in any emotion except for happiness and feelings related to joy, there eyes would take on another color tint. Panther's blue eyes always tinted a dark crimson, whereas Tiger's dark amber eyes would veil over with a purplish glitter, and Wolf's strange green eyes would pale over, almost to a colorless gray when they were pushed to those circumstances. Much unknown to him, his green eyes had already paled slightly with a silverish glow.

"Sushi? What's sushi?" Berry asked, cocking her head. She looked up at the clouds again, and meowed, "Look! That one looks like two cats together..." The cloud looked like two cats with their tails entwined. Berry thought the cloud was giving off a signal... but she didn't know what is was. She shook her head and looked at Brian, waiting for an answer.

Raven growled, "We didn't say you could flirt in front of us." Then she purred and licked Wolf's cheek. "Well, let's go hunting!" She looked back up at Wolf, then continued running, but not until she whisked her tail under his chin. Raven heard.. err.. Brian, and Berry. Her legs immediately carried her the other way. She ended up by a stream, and, not wanting to lose, she dove into the stream. Swimming as quickly as her legs would allow her, which wasn't as fast as she could run, but very closely. As it got deeper and deeper, she worried about getting tired until she felt her paws hit the ground. Purring, the dark gray she-cat got out, and once her feet hit dry ground, her feet immediately started running once again.


"Fish, smart one," Brian purred, rolling his eyes. The golden eyes of the chocolate brown tom narrowed into slits and he bit his lip to hide the smile that was coming. "I have a disease that I can't tell when somebody is coming onto me," He said seriously, looking at her with his narrowed to slits golden eyes. Then he cracked up, laughs escaping his lips even if he didn't want them to. Rolling onto his side, Brian looked at Berry, to see her expression. It was shocked, and amused at the same time, and he continued laughing.

Berry was shocked, but she was amused at the same time. She started chuckling, then she meowed, "I didn't know what sushi was because I was never a kittypet..." She smiled at Brian and stuck her tongue out playfully. He's gonna ask me to leave any second now. She looked up at him and meowed, "Now why don't I teach you to hunt?"

"Of course you avoid the other thing I said," Brian rolled his golden eyes playfully. He got up, and stood over Berry, and put his face right next to her, as if he was about to nuzzle her, then whispered, "Let's get hunting." Then he got off, and smiled slyly, then walked away. "Hurry up!" He called, his legs starting to quicken. Brian saw a tree as he ran to the foresty area, and jumped up, unsheathing his back claws. But only his back legs could not hold him, and he grasped for a hold, but there were no branches close enough. So Brian fell to the ground with thud! Brian blinked open his golden eyes, and felt winded as his lungs refused to respond for a few seconds. Getting up slowly, he shook his dizzy head, and expected there to be a bump like there was on the Cartoon's his upwalker's cartoons watched, and was surprised when there wasn't.

"Yes." Moonbear purred warmly, as he kept nuzzling and licking her. He laughed when he heard Raven. "No one is asking you to watch either." Then he went back to nuzzling Cherry until his stomach growled again. "Guess we should keep hunting too."

Berry smiled at Brian and ran after him. When he fell, she meowed, "Oh! Are you alright?" She ran up to him and helped him up. She was sort of amused by his fall, but then she remembered he had no front claws. She saw a mouse and whispered, "Sh! Watch." She stalked up on the mouse, her claws sheathed. She pounced and put her paws over the mosue and pushed down. The mouse thrashed around, but Berry broke it's neck with her teeth. "Now you try." she meowed, smelling another mouse.

"My head's still kind of dizzy," He admitted, but quickly shook it off. He heard another mouse, and pricked his ears, curling them towards the sound. He turned silently, and crouched, his instincts grasping him as the scent wafted at his mouth. As soon as he could see it, his eyes became huge and his back claws unsheathed. Brian leapt, and nearly squished the mouse as his paw landed on it. He bit down on its neck, feeling the bone snap in hia jaw. Brian set it down next to Berry, his golden eyes gleaming with pride. Brian put his head next to Berry's, and breathed in her scent. He tilted his head, and, once again, acted like he was about to nuzzle her. "Was that good?" He purred, looking at her innocently.

Wolf raced after Raven. He wasn't as fast, but he definetly had more endurance, which he discovered as they ran. He began to gain on Raven as they raced from the stream, water clogging their fur. He bgean to overtake Raven leap by leap as they tore over the hills and entered the forest, the wind whistling past his ears. Suddenly, Wolf skidded to a dead stop, stumbling over his own paws asRaven flashed by him. "Raven!" Wolf spun in a full circle, his jaws open as he tasted the air. It couldn't be! But it was there, the sweet scent always hinted with jasmine, lingering in the breeze, quite fresh. The wind tousled his fur, but he paid it no attention, his excitement mounting. This was the part of the forest Wolf had never gone to. The tangled undergrowth wasn't to his taste, but he knew his sister would love this place. She'd ghost through the shadows, relieved at the thought that most cats avoided the area. A fresh scent, brought by the breeze, came to his nose, and Wolf spun around, to come face to face with a lithe, jet black she-cat with pale blue eyes and the distinctive white mark on her shoulder. "Panther!" Wolf burst out, wide eyed as he stared at his sister, who he'd thought was dead. "Wolf...?" The black she cat cocked her head,recognition lighting her eyes. "It is you!" Wolf purred oblingly, but he turned his head, searching for Raven. "Raven!"

"Good catch! Plump mouse." Berry observed, looking at the mouse in his paws. "You wanna catch another one? Or move on to some different kind of prey?" Berry looked around, but saw nothing. She scented squirrel nearby... She listened to hear if there was any prey scuffling by, but there was none. "I smell squirrel nearby."
