Pine sat next to a window, "Can I go outside? How do I get out?"

"Yeah you can," replied Petal. "Follow me!" She ran out the cat door. Katie had installed a little door which Petal could go in and out freely with her friends.

"Thanks," She took a deep breath of the air, and padded back in.

"That's all?" joked Petal then followed her back in.

"Yeah. 'Cause if I go out any further, I won't come back," Pine said seriously.

"Oh..," said Petal. She curled up in her bed. "I'm gonna hit the sack early," she said.

"Hit what sack?" Pine asked, tilting her head in confusion.

Petal mrrowed. "It's a saying," she explained, "It means 'go to sleep'."

"Oh! Do you have anything high I could sleep on?" She looked around for anything she could sleep on.

Bella came back and stretched, then smelt and outsider cat inside Petal's house. She padded over to the cat door, and meowed, "Petal? You in there?"

Pine twitched her ears, "Petal, someone's calling you."

Petal looked around and saw the dresser. "You can sleep on top of that. It's high enough," she said pointing to the dresser. She raised her head. "Bella? Come in!" she called.

Bella came in and follow Petal's scent to find her. "So, where's my brother? I thought he'd be with you, considering you two are mates now." she teased. She teased everyone, but always got into a fight. But then she'd solve the conflict.

Pine jumped on the dresser, and something glass fell and broke. Pine's tail fluffed up, "What was that?!"

"It's just a vase. Upwalkers use them for decoration." Bella explained.

Petal looked at Pine. "Oops.. You made the vase drop!" she said. "Katie won't mind.. I think." She turned to Bella and narrowed her eyes. "He got mad and went home," she said simply.

Pine was still freaked out, "Sorry...?"

"No it's fine," said Petal. "I'm sure Katie won't mind.."

"Sorry," Pine said, this time understanding.

"It's fine! Now you can just relax!" said Petal.

Pine curled up and fell asleep. Then she woke up, sweating. "Is it just me or is it hot in here?"

"Ugh.. Yeah..," groaned Petal. "Katie forgot to turn on the AC!" Petal jumped up next to the AC and studied it. She put her paw on the knob and pushed. She grunted and pushed harder. It came to life and blew out cool air. "Ahh," she said in relief as the cool air came over her.

Pine's fur fluffed up immediately, "Thanks..I think I'll go under the bed." She crawled under the bed, crying softly.

Petal heard Pine. She crawled under the bed next to her. "Pine? Are you okay?" she asked gently. "If you don't like it here you can always leave if you want.."

"No, I don't want to leave. I'm just scared about what will happen," Pine said, regaining her composure.
