Marilynn padded out of her twoleg den, relishing the sun on her pelt.

Aiden was on his fence watching the sky curiously.

Blade, who had been hiding in the shadows, lightly leaped onto the fence, landing silently next to Aiden. His long tail sweeped sideways as he twitched his ears.

Dare saw the two an leaped across the small alley way and mewed cheerfully "Hi! Good moring!" then she scrambled to get a grip on the fence.

Aiden slowly shifted his gaze from the sky to Blade and Dare. "Hey..." he said, seeming distracted as always.

Marilynnlooked up at the two toms, wondering who they were. She'd just moved here and lived next door.

Blade flicked his tail at the new she-cat on the fence of the next house in greeting. "Hi! You're new here?" he called out in a musical voice.

"Yes. My house folk just moved here. My name is Marilynn." the pretty she-cat said politely.

"I'm Blade." Blade smiled. He didn't actually like her but he was friendly to all cats.

Marilynn didn't like this tom either, she just believed in being polite to all cats you meet.

Dawn padded out of her den and streched. She saw a newer looking cat, so she leaped up on the fence and meowed, "Hi! I'm dawn. My housefolk have new nextdoor neighbors. Are you their cat?" she looked around, then asked, "Has anyone seen Glacier? I have to tell him something!"

Blade turned towards Dawn's voice. He nodded curtly and told her," He's inside the house eating."

"Yes. I'm Marilynn. It's nice to meet you, Dawn." she smiled.

Aiden offered the new cat a small nod, but didn't offer his name. Once he saw Dawn, he flicked his tail toward the Twoleg nest to answer her question.

"Guess what, guys?!" Dawn meowed exitedly. Then she saw Adien, then she squeaked, "What is it, Adien?"

"Hey Blade," Shuriken meowed, leaping up onto the fence beside him. "Why are you up so early? I thought you went to sleep late last night. Oh, hey, new cat." He added, seeing Marilynn.

"BLADE! Where's Glacier? I have news!" Dawn meowed cheerfully.

"Hi, I'm an even newer cat," Ellyn mewed shyly. "I'm Marilynn's littermate, Ellyn."

Marilynn smiled and nodded hello to Shuriken.

Aiden looked at Dawn, his silver eyes a bit dazed from spacing out earlier. "Nothin'." he said in his low, husky voice.
