Petal grinned at Pine. She looked back at Titan. "So?" she asked him.

Pine grabbed her trush, and climbed back up the tree. She put her thrush in the hole in the tree, and climbed on the branch. She silently stalked a little bird she didn't know the name of, then dove for it. She bit its neck, and set it in the hole with the thrush. "I'm on a hunting spree," Pine said to Petal dismissively as she hopped onto another tree.

Petal watched Pine. "Nice. Good luck," called Petal. She picked up her blackbird and waited for Titan to lead the way.

Pine set the little bird next to Petal. "You're nice. However, Loveyboy here, he don't get no prey from me," She dashed off, once again hopping from tree to tree.

"Thanks," mumbled Petal around her blackbird. Loveyboy? she thought in her head with a little chuckle.

Pine hopped back and dropped another small bird in the hole in the tree.

Titan shugged it off. He never cared if anyone teased him. He walked off, then meowed, "I'll see you tomorrow. I'm gonna take a nap." He padded in the house and fell asleep on Aislynn's bed.

Pine smiled sheepishly at Petal, Sorry..."

Petal put down her blackbird. She watched as Titan walked off and sighed. "It's okay," she said quietly. "But now I have nothing to do!"

"I could go hunting with you! I'm a really good hunter," Pine said excitedly.

"Okay! Sure!" said Petal. She dug a hole and buried the prey she and Titan had caught. "Let's go then," she said after she finished.

Pine jumped up the tree easily, annd jumped from tree to tree until she saw a river. She jumped, and landed in the mud. She laughed as the mud splashed her legs and they became a wet dark brown.

Petal followed Pine on the ground. When Pine landed in mud she laughed. "Ha! Nice job Pine!" she laughed. " i bet you just LOOVE mud baths! They cleanse your skin so nicely!" She laughed so hard tears started to come to her eyes.

"I do!" Pine jumped further into the huge puddle of mud. She splashed a bunch of mud on Petal.

Petal gasped as mud splattered her. She started laughing. "You'll pay for that!" she exclaimed then threw some mud at Pine.

Pine purred, "I love mud!" She pulled Petal in the mud. "Where do you stay? I stay over in that Pine tree. That's where I got my name!"

"Eeek! Mud!" screamed Petal trying to get out but instead fell down in it. She sighed then stood up. "Er.. I live in the Twoleg house next to Titans," she replied. She flicked mud off her paw. "I got my name cuz my Twolegs found me in a meadow with petals scattered on me."

"Cool! Can I come with you? I mean live with you," Pine asked excitedly.

Petal thought about it. Her Twolegs were thinking of getting another cat. Why not a cat she knew? "Sure!" said Petal. "Let's go there!" She headed off to her house hoping that Pine was following.

Pine jumped up and followed Petal.

Petal led the way to her house and scratched the door. Katie came out and looked at her. "Petal! You're SO muddy!" she exclaimed. Petal mewed, "I know, I know." Katie saw Pine. "Oh! You've brought a friend!" She looked inside the house. "Let's keep her!" She picked up both of the cats and took them inside.

Pine purred, and looked at Petal, "Should I purr, or...?" Since she had been a stray all her life, she didn't know what to do.

Petal laughed. "It doesn't matter! Do what you think is right!" she replied as Katie gave her a wash. Katie finished washing her then gave Pine a good wash. "2 meows for tuna and 1 meow for chicken," said Katie holding up the two foods. Petal meowed twice and was awarded with some tuna. "Good girl," said Katie then patted her on the head. She turned to Pine. "Your turn! And I gotta think of a name for you too!" said Katie. She saw a pine tree looming in the window. "Ima name you Pine! how do you like that?" asked Katie to Pine.

Pine looked worried, "I don't think so. My stray instincts are telling me to get the heck out of here!" Pine just looked up at her, and jumped out of her arms. She started to explore the house.

"Well then just explore! There's a lotta stuff here!" said Petal. Katie looked disappointed. "Not hungry?" she asked Pine then put the food away. "Well I have to get to work! Night shifts.. ugh," said Katie. She grabbed her stuff. "Bye Petal! Bye Pine! Be good!" she exclaimed before leaving.
