Some of you may have heard of the site, TV & Tropes, or something like that. There, they make, "tropes" about common themes in books, video games, literature, movies... well, you get the idea. E.g The trope "Faux Action Girl", decribes a female character who can supposedly take care and defend herself, but always seemes to mess up, needs to be saved or isn't seen in any fights. A good example from Warriors could be Silverstream. (No offense, Silverstream fans! She's my favourite character in the whole seris!)
So here you can invent your own tropes designed specifically for Warriors! I'll add each and every one to a list and see how many Warrior Tropes we can invent!
Please don't recycle existing tropes from TV & Tropes, be creative and come up with your own!

Me either, I don't understand what a trope is.

Maybe...Spottedleaf...? I don't really understand, so I don't know if she's a good character or not.

Yes! Exactly! You got the right idea, Cheesestar!
I'll try to explain it as best as I can, because the offical site, in my opinion, won't help out newbies at all. Way to complicated and way to hard to navigate through.
@Skystar Feathertail would make a good possibilty for that trope. She isn't seen in any battles at all and shows no instinct to fight or do anything ungirly whatsoever. She did however, sacrifice herself to kill Sharptooth and save Crowpaw, but that seems to be the only 'action girl' thing she ever did.
@Tigerspirit Spottedleaf is another good example. She's never been that intrested in becoming a warrior and hasn't really fought any battles at all. In her case though, she's somewhat excusable, since she'a medicine cat.
@Iceclaw Squirrelflight for faux action girl.... no, I don't think so. She's always done her fair share of the work and has played hero plenty of times.
Remember that a trope can be for anything. It can center around characters, plot, setting, etc. I have a few homemade trope ideas myself, so maybe that will help you guys out. Very Happy
For your idea Cheesestar, we could call it Lion's Mane, because the mane of a lion makes them look bigger than they actullay are. I can't think of any indivual character we could apply it to, but I think ThunderClan as a whole could fit under your idea. Over and over again, they are made out to be perfect; loyal, brave, feirce, strong, etc. Even in the feild guide, they were described to be "the clan of heroes." In reality however, we seen plenty of pshycotic villans, obnixous jerks, (Berrynose, anyone?) and in general, hostile and moody cats come out of that clan. ThunderClan have also had their fair share of mistakes, and they're really just as good as the rest of the clans. They've had they're moments of glory, moments of stupity, and I think you get the idea.

But Spottedleaf did fight Clawface, when she could have just had a warrior fight him. She gave up her life so no one else would get hurt.

I don't really belive that. Clawface attacked Spottedleaf during a battle, it's not like she could just pull one of the warriors out of the fight to protect her. And the heroic sacrifice doesn't really apply to this trope. It does say something good about Spottedleaf's personailty though, I don't mean any offence.

Could you do it the other way around and do cats that are more important than they seem?

Like...Graystripe. He's Firestar's best friend, and mated with Silverstream, a Riverclan she-cat. He doesn't have his own POV, when he'd probably be a good character for a book.

Ohh, now I understand! I am not sure if Graystripe would be the best example though.... do you have any more evidence on that?
