A Visit to IceClan's Fortress

Iceclaw was trudging through the thick snow, which was almost burying her. Gales of strong wind slammed against the group as they made their way towards the IceClan's Fortress. "Almost there," she mewed encouragingly through her teeth as she carried Phoenixkit gingerly by her scruff. Her voice was muffled by the brewing snowstorm.

Hope flared through her when she spotted the familiar entrance of IceClan's Fortress, wedged between two mountains. She glanced back at her companions. Her sister, Snowlily was next to her while Honeystar, Lightningstorm and her brother Heavystep was behind. She narrowed her eyes at Heavystep. She and Snowlily didn't really like him.

Snowlily purred at the thought of being back in Iceclan after her stay with the tribe. As the approached the entrance she raced ahead of the othef padding effortlessly over the snow completely unphased by the below freezing temperatures and the snow that was blasted at the cats by the wind. ” It's nice to finally be back in Iceclan” she mewed after turning to the others. She quickly turned back toward the door and padded through a series of passages and hallways in search of her other 2 kits. ”Where are they?” she wondered as she became more anxious.

Iceclaw raced after Snowlily gracefully, her fur blowing in the wind. She gently placed Phoenixkit down and mewed," Welcome to IceClan!" She grinned as Honeystar stumbled, unused to the thick snow.

Cedarkit suddenly sprang out of the darkness, clinging onto Snowlily's fur. "Snowwwwwww!!!!!" He cried out in joy. "Where did you go?" he chirped, gazing at her with adorable eyes.

"We went to see the Tribe of Falling Darkness!!!" Phoenixkit mewed as she shook the snow off her fur. "It was really great. I told you it would be. I made lots of new friends there."

Cedarkit's eyes gleamed enviously. "You're so lucky Phoenixkit!" He batted his sister lightly. "Frostkit and I missed you so much!" he chirped.

Lightningstar looked around curiously. "So that was snow...." Heavystep murmured to himself. Lightningstar smiled and nodded. "It's colder here than in the forest, that's for sure!" Heavystep shivered and sneezed. "Are you getting sick?" Lightningstar asked nervously. Her brother shook his head and sneezed again. He's such a bad liar. Lightningstar rolled her eyes. "I'm sorry, but can Heavystep please get a check up from your medicine cat?" she asked politely.

"Thank you Snowlily." Honeystar purred politely. "I know I am perhaps one guest here whom Pain will definitely not find welcoming." Turning to Lightningstorm he mewed. "I have some knowledge with herbs, perhaps I can help with Heavystep if he needs it."

"Thank you, Snowlily." Lightningstar smiled. She then turned to Honeystar. "Really? That would be great!" she mewed gratefully. Heavystep coughed and rolled his eyes. "I'm not-" "If you say you're not sick one more time, I'll smack you silly." Lightningstar interrupted her brother, scowling irritably. Heavystep chuckled which only earned him a coughing fit.

Iceclaw leaped onto her paws eagerly, not feeling exhausted from the long journey from the Tribe of the Falling Darkness to IceClan's Fortress. Her blue eyes were shining as she padded over towards Snowlily. "Hunting?" she asked. "Shall we go?"

Kittystar purred "Phoenixkit and Mallowkit grew very found of eachother and I promised he would come to Iceclan soon to see her! Now Iceclaw this is a nice place!" she purred.

Iceclaw nuzzled the Tribe leader and blinked. "He will come one day," she nodded firmly.
Her spine-tingling laugh echoed throughout. "Of course its a great place! "

"I'm going hunting with Snowlily, see you later?"

Kittystar nodded and purred "He was heartbroken to see her go! They like eachother alot Iceclaw!!!!!!!!!!!" then she said " If they have kits we will be sorta related by their kits!" she laughed.

Iceclaw had the ghost of a smile etched on her face. "That would be great," she mewed, sharing Kittystar's enthusiasm. "If you don't mind.. I have to go," she drawled, padding to Snowlily.

Iceclaw gave a firm nod, stretching her hind legs one by one. She shook the snow out of her fur and sprang towards the entrance of the Fortress. "Hurry!" she yowled, laughing.

Frozenkit, Northkit, and Shewkit ran to Iceclaw "Mama! Where were you? Pain said you weren`t coming back! XD Don`t leave us again!" Frozenkit hid in her fur.

Iceclaw blinked as her kits scampered towards her, panting slightly. Shrewkit pawed her tail playfully as he widened his adorable eyes. "Iceclaw! Don't leave us again!"

Northkit's fur were fluffed up anxiously, his tail trailing on the snow-covered ground. His eyes were bright with unshed tears. Frozenkit licked his ears soothingly waited for an answer. Iceclaw let out a sigh as she nuzzled her kits. “I’m only going out hunting with Snowlily. It won’t take too long!” she assured them.

Iceclaw glanced back once more at her kits before bounding towards Snowlily. “Let’s go now!” she mewed,

Fang looked at Iceclaw "Back in the nursery, kits. I`ll play with you." Frozenkit looked at Iceclaw "Don`t be gone long!" Northkit raced into the nursery "I won!" The other kits raced after him. "I`ll be in there in a second." He padded over to Iceclaw "Is Duma with you? He was gone when I came back from hunting so I suppose you took Duma with you."

Snowlily stretched and let out a small yawn. Looking at Iceclaw, she noticed Fang pad up to her while looking worried. A cloud of confusion and concern could be seen in her eyes. What's going on? What horrible timing with other can cats being here... I'm sure I'll hear about this later... "Must you always take such a long time to leave, Iceclaw. What is going on?" she mewed curiously. She sat down as she waited for Iceclaw to join her, tucking her paws neatly under her tail. "I wonder what's going on..." she whispered to Honeystar.

Fang turned towards Snowlily "Duma`s missing! I`m going out to look for him." He ran out of the Fortress before she could reply. "Duma!" He screeched, in worry.
