Iceclaw whispered," Cranepaw and Tigerspirit have fallen for each other! Kitkat had her kits, Lilykit and Snowkit!"

~Snowkit and Lilykit? That sounds familiar~

”What are Kittystar and Honeystar going to do?” She responded in a hushed tone. ”They're from different clans.” Snowlily sits completely still and watches Honeystar. A pang of guilt hits her as she diverts her gaze to Applfur. As she begins to lose herself in thought she closes her eyes to refocus herself. Snowlily turns away from Honeystar trying to avoid this feeling of sadness and guilt suddenly beginning to overwhelm her and instead focuses on Iceclaw. ”What is it we werd invited here for anyway” she questioned.

Iceclaw shrugged. "I'm not sure about that though...."

Kitkat woke up hearing Snowlily. "I don't even know what she wants you here for!" She called from the nursery. Then she started to lick her kits.

"Kitkatcan you please let Kittysatar know that I need to talk with her?" Honeystar mewed, as he followed Snowlily to the nursery.

Streamfur padded up to the nursery, and at seeing the new kits, she meowed "New kits! Have you eaten any borage yet? It will help your milk come. I saw a clump of it nearby."

Applefur saw her kits peeking their heads in the nursery. She quickly padded forward and stood in front of her kits eyes narrowed. "Hey! We just want to see them!" Boltpaw cried loudly. "Hush my love, you can see them later. Let Snowkit and Lilykit rest." Stormpaw laughed and nudged Boltpaw. "Wanna fight and practice our new battle moves?" He offered. "Sure." Boltpaw smiled with a grin. Applefur smiled and shook her head. "You two be careful now." She warned. "We know." Stormpaw and Boltpaw said in unison. Autumnpaw and Leopardpaw giggled. "We'll watch them for you mother." Autumnpaw offered batting her eyes. Applefur nodded. "Make sure they dont get themselves in too much trouble." She added. Applefur watched with a long sigh as her kits practiced real battle moves they might someday use in battle.

Cranepaw went looking for Tigerspirit and Moonpaw. He couldn't wait to tell her the news. Suddenly he noticed that Autumnpaw, Stormpaw, Boltpaw, and Leopardpaw were at the camp too.

Kittystar heard Honeystar and hurried to him, leaving Mallowkit and Gracekit sleeping. KIttystar's eyes were filled with concern and she mewed softly "Whats wrong Honeystar?? Is there an issue with Cranepaw and Tigerspirit??"

Autumnpaw pricked her ears seeing Cranepaw. She smiled and nudged Leopardpaw. "Look Cranepaw's here." Leopardpaw smiled slyly watching Stormpaw trip Boltpaw and pin him down. "Gotcha!" Stormpaw mewed loudly. "I'll get you next time Stormpaw! You better watch out!" Boltpaw warned pushing his brother off with a smile. "Stormpaw, Boltpaw! Look Cranepaw's here!" Leopardpaw called. Stormpaw pricked his ears and smiled. "Hey Cranepaw! Over here!" He called with a smile flicking his tail over his way motioning toward a spot next to him.

Kittystar sighed as a breeze swirled feathers and leaves into the air, twirling them around and around. "Honeystar....what will we do about Cranepaw and Tigerspirit?" there was regret in her voice as though she didn't wish this pain upon any one.

"I don't think there is anything you can do, guys..." Kitkat meowed sympathetically, "But they like each other so much... What if Cranepaw joined the Tribe?"

Kittystar shook her head and meowed sheepishly "what I'm most worried about is Cranepaw joining the tribe for TIgerspirit and then realizing isn't happy here..." she meowed sadly and looked at Honeystar for a long momet, pain flickering in her gaze followed by sorrow and sadness.

"I talked with him about it." Honeystar answered heavily. "I told him that if he wanted to, he could stay here for a moon. It will give him time to decide if he really wishes to join the Tribe. And I'm sure you could use an apprentice around here to help out. Does that sound like a good idea to you?"

Kittystar looked around the camp and meowed lowly "If he wishs...it would make the world for Tigerspirit but learning our techqiune for hunting might be hard for him, since he only knows how to chase and pounce....I mean even I have a hard time!" she meowed flatly before she shook a dazed look from her eyes and she meowed "Yes, he can stay..."

"I'll go tell Cranepaw your decison." Honeystar thanked with a slight bow of his head. "The two of you should get some rest." With that he left the Nursery.

Kittystar sighed and meowed distraced to Kitkat "You need you're sleep Kitkat...I'll...I'll be hunting on back bone ridge....bye!" then she padded out of camp to back bone ridge.

Spotting Cranepaw with Applefur's kits, Honeystar walked over to him. "Did you talked to Tigerspirit yet?" he asked softly, so the other Apprentices couldn't hear.

"I was on my way to find her." Cranepaw answered. "She must still be out hunting with Moonpaw."

"Okay then. I talked with Kittystar about you staying here for a moon, and she has agreed."

Kitkat fell asleep with ease.

Phoenixkit shivered inside a sage bush just outside the Tribe Camp. She had managed to sneak out of the nursery and IceClan fortress. She had been curious about where Snowlily and Iceclaw had gone to. By now though, she was completely cold, tired, and hungry. Not to mention scared. The sounds of coyotes yipping and howling in the distance could be heard throughout the desert night. Poor Phoeinxkit was so parched she couldn't even cry. The only thing she could do was curl up in the sand, and slowly began to close her eyes.

Iceclaw was out for a late walk. She suddenly spotted a ginger kitten curled up by the sage bush. Horror rushed through her mind. What was a kit doing here alone? The closer she got to the kit, the more familiar it seemed.

"Phoenixkit!" Iceclaw yowled, rushing over and licking Snowlily's kit.

Phoenixkit opened her eyes to the sound of a familiar voice. Suddenly she felt a warm tongue lapping along her body. She let out a tiny purr. She recognized Iceclaw's scent. She tried to say something but all that came out was frail mew.

Iceclaw tucked Phoenixkit closer to her, lapping the young kit's fur gently. "Phoenixkit? Are you alright?" she whispered. Grabbing her by her scruff, she carried Phoenixkit towards a nearby waterfall. Placing her down lightly, Iceclaw dabbed a moss ball into the water and gave it to Phoenixkit.

Phoenixkit slowly began licking the droplets of water from the moss ball.
