Chapter 1 ( Brambleclaws POV )

The clan was silent and the air was still...
It was at the dead of night and the whole clan gathered around Thornclaws dead body...
Brambleclaw was speechless. Thornclaw had always been a lively warrior and a skilled fighter as well. Brambleclaw couldnt believe he was dead...
"Tonight we are here to sit vigel for Thornclaw..." started Firestar. "He died saving Shrewpaw from a twoleg monster."
Shrewpaw was devestated and he leaned into someones fur. There were too many cats and Brambleclaw couldnt see who.
"Let each of us pay our respects..." Firestar continued.
When it was his turn Brambleclaw whispered " Your courage and faith in the clan will always be respected..."
He turned to look for Squirrelpaw. He was about to talk to her when she went over to Shrewpaw and whispered something into his ear. He nodded and they both went into the apprentices den.
Brambleclaw sat gloomily in the warriors den. Was he right? Did Squirrelpaw really care for Shrewpaw more then him...
Brambleclaw curled up uncomfortably missing Squirrelpaws sweet scent....

This is my first fan fic and it may not be as good as others but i hope you enjoy the story as it unfolds!

Chapter 5 (Squirrelpaws POV)

Squirrelpaw watched horrified as the clearing filled with cats and got bowled over by a sturdy black tom. He tried to bite her throat but she was too quick and dodged it. Squirrelpaw wriggled free of the tom and gave a sharp nip to his tail which sent him flying! Her heart filled with horror as she saw Rainwhiskers limp body...
Where was shrewpaw?
She got knocked down again this time by a she cat and Squirrelpaw let out a shriek!

Brambleclaw fought alongside Cloudtail as they tried to find the elders,queens and kits to get them to safety. Brambleclaws ears pricked as he heard a yowl.
No... Squirrelpaw!
"SQUIRRELPAW!" Brambleclaw screeched as he thurst his way through the cats!
Then he saw something that chilled him head to tail...
There was a cat hanging on to the cliff...
It was Shrewpaw...

Hey Rainfeather i sent you a friend request!

You just left Shrewpaw hanging over a cliff and all you can think about is a friend request?!? Very good! Write more!!

Chapter 6 (Shrewpaws POV)

Shrewpaw clung desperetly for the edge of the cliff and could feel it crumbling under his paws! He knew he was going to die and he was scared out of his fur...
He saw a cat on top of the cliff standing over him in shadow!
"Help...help me..." Shrewpaw squeaked desperetly. The cat stood there looking at him. Why wouldnt he help him? Suddenly someone attacked the cat! Shrewpaw caught a glimpse of ginger fur. Then as he started to fall the cat got him:Firestar.
Shrewpaw leapt onto the edge but Firestar fell down the cliff! He had sacrificed himself for me. Shrewpaw thought....

Cloudtail stood shocked as he saw Firestars body limp on the ground...
"NO!" he shrieked! Firestar was dead. Only Cloudtail and Sandstorm knew he was on his last life...

That was good you should write more!

Squirrelpaw opened her eyes to find herself on a starry clearing and silverpelt was huge!
Wher was she? Then she remembered...This was fourtrees! A thorn struck her heart as she realized with a shock...maybe she was dead!
Suddenly some starry warriors came down and spoke to her. Squirrelpaw recognized them as Spottedleaf, Bluestar and another cat she didnt recognize who was golden.
"Welcome Squirrelpaw.Welcome to starclan...Im sorry to say, you are dead...but there IS something you can do."

Brambleclaws fur tingled with triumph as the attacking cats fled the clearing! Then he remembered... Firestar was dead. With a jolt he realized he still hadnt seen Squirrelpaw and Brambleclaw raced around the hollow when he came to a stop. A ginger body with one white paw was lying on the ground...
No...
Brambleclaw raced up and put his muzzle in her fur.
She wasnt breathing.
He reared his head and let out a yowl of dismay!
He didnt care that everybody was watching.
He didnt care that she had been in love with Shrewpaw.
She was gone...
Forever...

Write more! I wonder what squirrelpaw will do...

... Didn;t she die? Then what will she do if she is dead?

Bluestar said there was something she could do.

Chapter 8

"I cant do it!!!"
Firestar looked deep into Squirrelpaws eyes.
"Im sorry Squirrelpaw. But you have to do it." He sighed.
"Brambleclaw or Shrewpaw has to die and one stays alive.But you wont ever see the one who dies ever again because youre swapping with them..."
Squirrelpaw felt like crying...
Who should she choose?

Shrewpaw padded through the forest in dismay.
The one he had loved had died.
And he would never see her or her father ever again...
And what was there left for him...
Suddenley he heard a yowl of pain!
Someone was in trouble!!!

Chapter 9

Shrewpaw ran as fast as he could towards the sound!
What he saw was horrifying....
Cinderpelt was lying on the clearing,motionless and Brambleclaw stood over with blood on his paws!
"You monster!" Shrewpaw yelled and threw himself at Brambleclaw!
"No wait you dont under-" Brambleclaws words faded as Shrewpaw landed on top of him. "You shouldnt of done this! Out of all cats why you Bramblclaw?"
"Wait-"
"Just go and never come back!" Shrewpaw bit Brambleclaw tail and he was sent flying into the forest.
Shrewpaw turned swiftly and ran over to Cinderpelt.
"No Cinderpelt dont go!"
Cinderpelt looked at him with despair in her eyes...
"You shouldnt of done that..." she coughed "Now the whole forest is doomed..."
Her breathing fainted until it came to a standstill.
Then with a flash Shrewpaw remembered the prophecy.
There will be two...

It is so good!

Wow this is really good! GO BRAMBLECLAW!!!! She should choose Brambleclaw to live! Doesn`t Shrewpaw realize what he did? I mean Brambleclaw even started ( would have said if Shrewpaw would have let him finish....) to say "You don`t understand."

Chapter 10

Brambleclaw sped through the trees as far as his paws could take him! All he could think of was to get away from Shrewpaw - and not just him. He slowed down and the voice came in his head again....
"Brambleclaw... You should of killed him... You killed Cinderpelt... Why shouldnt you be leader... and kill to become it. To become the greatest warrior who ever lived...Theres nothing left for you...Why not?

Brambleclaw shook his head but couldnt get Tigerstar out of his head!
He had to do it.
He had to kill Brackenfur.

"I cant choose!"
Firestar shook his head.
"Im sorry Squirrelpaw..."
He sighed.
"You have a moon to decide. Because thats when the great battle happens."
Squirrelpaw shook her head...
"The battle to end all."
