A Meeting For Kits

Robinkit glanced around as he used the dirt patch to disguise his scent, then snuck out of camp. He had tried to persuade the other kits to come with him but they were too scared.
Those frog hearts! He thought.
"They're missing out on something big!" He grumbled as he headed towards the Shadowclan camp.
Us kits are gonna have our own gathering!

Robinkit jumped on his brother's back and batted at his ears, "Yeah well I was ABOUT to catch a bigger minnow then yours!" he challenged
As his brother argued with him he thought of a great idea.
"Let's race! But in groups so we can see who's the best clan!" then he remembered Treekit
"Um...you can tell us when to start racing and make the rules?" he suggested

Icekit stuck his tongue out at Robinkit. "But you didn't catch it so there!" Riverkit glared at her littermates. "Shut up," she muttered. "And sure! Let's race, and maybe we can show you guys hwo to swim!" Rowankit meowed, a hint of mischief in his voice,

"Yes, we enjoy racing each other back home in WindClan Camp!" said Honeykit.
"And just to let you know, I'm usually the swiftest."Cranekit added in, as he danced with anticipation.
"After you teach us how to swim," said Moonkit, "We can show you some games that we can play in the water."
"Too bad we can't play 'Peacock-feather Chase,'" sighed Peachkit. "That's my favourite."
"Maybe we can use those feathery looking reeds over there, that might work." Maplekit pointed out as he began breaking off one of them.
Wolfkit was trying out one of the bulrushes, until he accidentally ripped it open. Fluff started flying all over the training area! Maplekit and Moonkit were both glaring at him, while Peachkit was having fun.
"What?!" said Wolfkit, completely covered with bulrush down. "How was I suppose to know it would do that!"

Rowankit stared at Wolfkit. "You were supposed to grab the stem!" he pointed out. "He wasn't to know," Riverkit muttered pointedly, then turned back to the other kits. "Okay! Let's start at the riverbank and run the the beech over there at the other side of camp. Last one there gets to be pushed into the water!" Icekit bounced toward riverbank, purring. "I bet Rowankit is going to be last!" "Oh, yeah?" Rowankit charged forward and knocked his brother over. "We'll just see about that!"

"Obviously I'm going to win!" Robinkit boasted and prepared to race. He couldn't help glancing up every once in awhile to see if the she-kits were watching him. They may have been from another clan but he wanted to look cool to them anyway!

Moonkit watched with amusement at Robinkit glancing at her, and her sisters. "If you're referring to the race, you should perhaps focus your mind on that, instead of something else." The three WindClan she-kits began mrrowing together as they took their places. "And if it is something else," she added quietly so that only Robinkit could hear. "You're going to have to beat me in this race first." Then she gave him a friendly nudge on his shoulder with her paw.

Robinkit felt his pelt burn with embarrassment. Oh he was so going to win this! He launched himself forward as Treekit gave the signal to begin racing.
He heard light pawsteps right behind him and he glanced back to see Moonkit, right on his tail. Soon she was right next to him. He forced himself to move faster, but they seemed to have the same amount of speed going for them both.

Riverkit shot forward, taking the lead as the kits raced out. Wolfkit, Peachkit, and Icekit ran on her tail, and she forced herself to run even faster.

Rowankit blinked in dismay when he realized that he was running last. "Who knew that Icekit coud've been right?" he muttered, and doubled his pace.

Icekit saw the brown tabby pelt of his sister running ahead of everyone else and almost cheered out loud. Go, Riverkit! Let's show them!

Robinkit let out a tiny squeak of suprise as his sister shot past him like a rabbit (was gonna say bullet..).

Moonkit was still neck-in-neck with Robinkit when they were nearing the finish line. Riverkit had just shot past the two of them, with Cranekit right behind the large RiverClan she-kit. Like a white streak of lightning, he took Riverkit by surprise as he managed to beat her, but just by a pawstep. Robinkit and Moonkit ended up sharing third place, with Wolfkit [still covered in bulrush fluff] taking fourth, followed by Peachkit, Honeykit, Icekit, and Maplekit. Rowankit was the last to past the beech tree, and Wolkit's eyes were beaming with the thought of watching him get tossed in the water.

"Wow, you nearly won the race Riverkit, and past everyone but Cranekit!" Honeykit complimented, "That was incredible."

"Yeah, you sure are fast and Big." Peachkit remarked.
Meanwhile Moonkit was congratulating Robinkit. "Well, you didn't beat me, but I guess tying for third place is something impressive. Not bad for a RiverClan kit. Maybe I'll do just as well with swimming too."

Treekit was padding around and saw Moonkit. "Hey Moonkit!"

Moonkit heard the SkyClan kit call her name. "Yes Treekit?" she replied.

"Want to go play?" The young Black and White kit replied.

[~Ooops! How did that happen? ~]

"Sure!" The Pale Silver kit answered. "What do you want to play?"

"Hmmm, Lets see who can catch the biggest prey! You get 1 animal to catch each! Ready... GO!" The young cat ran of and saw a medium sized Vole. He grabbed it with his teeth and wrestled with it."

Riverkit licked her ruffled fur. "Thanks, guys!"

But before she could go on, Brightstar padded into the clearing where the kits were playing in. She frowned disapprovingly at Treekit. "Don't play with the food," she admonished. "You may eat, but please don't play with the food." The Riverclan leader blinked at the windclan kits. "I've sent a patrol out to fetch Honeystar and Lotusflower. But in the meantime, you can play....."

Icekit shot up to Brightstar, his pale winter-sky blue eyes gleaming with excitement. "Can we teach the Windclan cats to swim? Can we? can we?" "Yeah!" Riverkit purred enthusiastically. "We get to push Rowankit into the water!"

Brightstar hesitated, then agreed. "Alright, Riverkit. But I'll have to ask one of the elders to watch you... Reedshine!" The Riverclan leader bounded away, calling to a dark ginger she-cat.

Rowankit stomped over the riverbank. "This is just great," he grumbled. "Getting pushed into the water just because---" *splash!* Rowankit let out a shriek as Wolfkit pushed him into the water. "W-what was that f-for?" he spluttered. "I w-wasn't ready!" Striking out with his paws, he swam for the bank.

Rowankit glared at Wolfkit! "That wasn't funny!" he growled. "Hey, calm down!" Riverkit meowed. "You never said we couldn't surprise you," Icekit added. "I guess you're right," Rowankit sighed. Without warning, Rowankti twisted and half-crouched, sending him hurtling straight at Wolfkit, bowling him over.

Soon Wolfkit and Rowankit were at each other fiercely. Wolfkit used his front paws to block away Rowankit's strikes, while using his hind legs to knock him off. Getting back on his feet again, Wolfkit now took the offensive.

Robinkit and the other kits backed away as Wolfkit and Rowankit fought.
"Um.." he started in an attempt to stop them "Aren't we gonna teach the others how to swim..?"
When he received no answer he yanked on Rowankit's tail with his teeth gently. "Come on!" he yelled over a mouthful of fur.

After watching Robinkit yank Rowankit's tail, Maplekit decided to intervene too. "Yeah, you guys are playing too rough." he said as he tugged on Wolfkit by the scruff.
"Besides," added Honeykit. "It's getting too hot to be fighting like that. Let's go swimming and then have something to eat after-wards."
"Fine." Wolfkit grumbled. "I would have beaten him anyways."

"Thanks for handling that," Moonkit said to Robinkit. "Um..do you want to teach me how to swim?"

Riverkit waded into the water. "Feels so cool!" she meowed. "Hey, Cranekit! Want to have a go first?" Icekit bounced past her into the slow, gentle stream. With a splash, he dived into the water. "Hey, Riverkit! You take Cranekit and Peachkit. I'll take Maplekit and Wolfkit... Rowankit can teach Honeykit, and Robinkit will help Moonkit, since they're get along so well." Riverkit let out a mewl of amusement and beckoned to Cranekit and Peachkit.

Robinkit puffed out his chest a bit when Moonkit asked him if he wanted to teach her.
"Sure! Let's go to the shallow part first before the deeper ends. Watch out for the rocks when you get in. Now move your legs slowly, if you move to fast you might start to sink!" (I've no clue how to swim in real so...I hope I'm right lol)
