Honey-star?!

First topic message reminder :

~Lotus has just told me that she is giving up her place as WindClan Leader to me, so she can have our kits. This is news is shocking [for me], but I realize that she's right. I will still continue to look after my Clan more then ever! [I will be doing a Fan-fic version of this event later]~

It was near Sun-high when Honeytongue and the hunting patrol returned to WindClan Camp. With one pheasant he had caught in his mouth, and another placed in the fresh-kill pile, he went on over towards Lotus-star. The WindClan Leader gave a warm welcoming purr to see her Mate and Deputy.
"How did the morning hunt go?"
"Very well." he replied happily, after placing the bird down in front of Lotus-star, and turned to watch the rest of the patrol bring in their prey. Blackclaw came dragging in with a large hare, he and Honeytongue had managed to take down together. Followed by Hawktalon with two rabbits and a thrush, and Sagedapple with three plump voles, a quail, and a squirrel [that apparently had wandered into WindClan Territory]. "This Greenleaf has proven to be prosperous."
"Yes, but it certainly has been hot at times." Lotus-star remarked. After looking at the pheasant she added, "Why don't we take this over to my den, where we can cool off and share?"
"Well.."began Honeytongue as he watched Sagedapple drop the squirrel onto the pile. "I was thinking you should probably have it."
"Mosebrain", Lotus-star teased while giving him a playful swipe to the head. "I can't eat all this by myself! Besides," then she walked closer to him, "there's something important I want to tell you."
Hearing that, his attention was now entirely fixed on her.
"Is it about our kits?" he asked in a low voice.
The way her blue sky eyes seemed to beam brightly was all the answer he needed. A wave of joy swept inside Honeytongue, as he began rubbing the side of his head with her's, and letting out a deep soft purr. Picking up the pheasant by the wing, he followed her into the Leader's Den. While the squirrel might had been a rare delight to enjoy, spending time with Lotus-star, sharing prey and talking about kits, was something worth more to him.

Congrats, Honeystar!! Honeystar!! Honeystar!! And congratulations on the kits, Lotusflower!!
