Mistakes in the Books (Spoiler Alert)

So, recently I have started reading the books again, starting from the first book in the Power of Three series, The Sight. Maybe it's just that I'm actually paying more careful attention to the words actually printed in the book today but in the past 5 minutes or so, I have noticed 2 big errors...

The first one is on page 318. For those of you who don't remember,

And then there is another mistake on page 325 (or the first page of chapter 24. The first sentence of the last Paragraph on the page says, "Firestorm was grooming Sandstorm below Highledge." So I have come to the conclusion that 1) all of a sudden Sandstorm is cheating on FireSTAR with some cat I've never heard of name Firestorm, or 2) The authors have seriously messed up the name of the main character of more than 12 of the previous books in the series and the editor really sucks at catching the mistakes in the books.

Anyway, I thought this would just be an interesting thing to share. Since this is the first book of the series that I have ready in at least 5 years, I was just wondering if anyone else had noticed any mistakes in the other books I have either forgotten or I didn't include in this post. Please include spoilers if you give away too much information from the storyline, as you don't want to ruin a surprise for others (like me). Thanks.

I noticed a couple mistakes in Yellowfang's Secret, but they won't give away any of the storyline. Raggedpelt is called Raggedstar a couple times before he becomes leader.

Come to think of it, I remember some mistakes in the books. At first I thought that Firestorm was just a regular cat in Thunderclan and Sandstorm was friends with him. But now, I'm pretty sure it was supposed to be FireSTAR. I think I also saw a few in The Last Hope but I'm not too sure.

Yeah. I went back into the allegences with the list of all the cats in each clan and there is no Firestorm anywhere. His warrior name was not even Firestorm! How do the authors write 15 books MINIMUM with Fireheart/star as the main character and still screw that up. And to top that off how do the editor AND publisher miss a glaringly obvious mistake like that?

There are a lot of mistakes in the warriors series. In Crookedstar's Promise, Graypool was called by her warrior name when she was still an apprentice at one point. Every time I see typos and mistakes, I'm like really? Why don't the editors catch those things? That's their job right?

Yeah. That's the same though I am having. Especially screwing up fireheart's name. I think I vaguely remember Spelling and name mistakes in the Skyclan Super Edition one.

I wrote down every single error I found in Warriors and still have the paper. Let me tell you a lot

The first mistake on my paper says this:

Bluestar calls Firestar Rusty when Rusty never even said his name yet! Haha

'"It must be Blackfoot," mewed Grewpaw. Graypaw?

Bottom of pg 15 in fire and ice, Fireheart is called Firepaw

These are only a few of many. I just got out my books and checked the errors and for some reason a few of the mistakes aren't there... I think my copy is the newest copy so they may have edited it. I read most of the warrior books as library books so I think when I first read the books the mistakes weren't edited yet or something... odd

I'm rereading the series and I caught a few mistakes in the books I never wrote down

The Warriors series sure has a lot of errors I've came across. But I didn't bother noting them down

They can't catch everything

There was one in Eclipse, quite a few in The Last Hope, and I found one in Bluestar's Prophecy

Eclipse: Tigerstar was called Firestar

The Last Hope: Raggedstar was almost always called Raggedpelt

Bluestar's Prophecy: Bluefur was called Bluepaw when she was a warrior

Wow, this surprised me. Sometimes there are missing letters or the wrong "their, they're, there" being used but to mess up the main characters' names are kind of... Just no. xD Editors get fired sometimes if they miss big mistakes, so I wonder how many they've gone through. The few mistakes I noticed have benne highlighted already, but I haven't read much of the super editions or the last few series so I don't have much to add on.

In 'Sign of the Moon' on page 258, it says, "'So the eagle let Jayfeather go, and flew off.'" This is what Stone Song says but the ancient cats think he's Jay's Wing.

Umm interesting... I'm gonna re-read the series and find funny mistakes. XD
