Life in ShadowClan

First topic message reminder :

So since ShadowClan dosen't have a lot of Rp's, I thought I'd make one! Since Shadowclan is kind of inactive or small, then other clans can participate (You can come into our land, and be prisioner and stay until you want to leave, or somethiing like that!) So this is just life in ShadowClan, so yea... anyway just start Rp'ing!

Moonblossom walked into camp carrying a large frog. She sighed when so saw someone had already filled the fresh-kill pile with mice. She put the frog on the already overflowing pile. She was walking over to see her friend, Rosethorn, when she heard a comotion at the edge of camp.

Birdflight hissed and bared her teeth to Jaggedclaw. "Jaggedclaw do not speak! This is an important matter and we don't want to get on ShadowClan's bad side." She hissed her voice low enough so Snowlily couldn't hear. Birdflight wanted to catch up as well but they had a task at their paws and it must be completed. "I apologize for Jaggedclaw's attitude. There are consequences for speaking like that to any deputy." She began glancing at the tom. "Now, we come in peace and we aren't here to fight. We were on a border patrol when we heard about the capture of Dawnstorm and we have simply come to collect her. There isn't even enough of us to take on the whole of ShadowClan on their territory." She mewed. "We are not here to fight." She growled once more this times glaring at Jaggedclaw as if challenging him to speak up one more time. "And," She hesitated for a moment thinking whether to tell Snowlily about the disappearance of her former mate. "He hasn't returned but that doesn't mean anything. WindClan is as strong as ever." Birdflight mewed rather stiffly, pain in her eyes and tension in her shoulders.

Snowlily sat there silently. "You make it sound as if my asking if he had returned had something to do with attacking Windclan or something, Birdflight." Her gaze was even. "And how do I know that if Dawnstorm is returned to you, it will not happen again? How can I be sure she was not sent to spy on us and what do we get out of it here? It's sounding like a spy mission to me, the more I think about it." Her voice was clear and firm.

Birdflight looked at the she cat calmly and ignoring what she said about Honeystar she mewed, "With StarClan as my witness it was not a spy mission. I had no idea she was captured until a warrior alerted me of her disappearance. You also gain less mouths to feed and if it was a spy mission Dawnstorm wouldn't have been captured so quickly and easily. If it were a spy mission we would be a lot more careful and stealthy." She mewed flicking her tail as if dismissing the topic and her impatience was clear on her face.

"And for the inconvenience what is there?" She stared back at her old friend that she left behind long ago now. "And I will ask again, how are we going to be assured it doesn't happen agin in the future?" She was beginning to wish the circumstances of their visit were better but there was a risk to her new clan and she had to put them above her old friend.

Icestar slunk through the trees, following the patrol of cats through the trees silently, her paws making no noise as they flew over the mud. So, WindClan invaders were on the border? This should be interesting. Her muscles ached, but she made an effort not to be noticed. Icestar was in no condition to fight or compromise, but she wanted to know that her deputy was loyal to ShadowClan, and not be soft on her WindClan friends. Why had Snowlily made an effort to treat their hostage so well? ShadowClan warriors are expected to be diplomatic, but diplomacy ends at a certain point and weakness begins. Icestar slowed down to the trees at the end of the clearing and hid under a bush, her scent disguised by the bitter scent of elderberries.

Birdflight pricked her ears distracted for a moment by a rustle but figured it was prey. "There is a discipline and their are consequences for going over another clan's border. I am sincerely sorry for the inconvenience. I will increase the border markers so it is impossible not to notice our border and it won't happen again." She mewed evenly raising her head proudly.

Phoenixflash glanced at Dawnstorm. He didn't know what was going to happen to her but he didn't want anything to happen to her even though she was in a differnt clan. He didn't like to harm any clan cats. He sniffed the air. Windclan "Windclan is coming!" He yowled to his clanmates.

~Blazespirit, you should read above. Windclan is not coming to the camp or anywhere near it at all. There would be no way to tell they were even in the territory for the camp and we don't really need everyone to show up to where they are either. Brightstar (Pearlpaw have already collected who I asked for and now the others should be at the camp on guard watching Dawnstorm.~

Pearlpaw ran up behind Snowlily. She ducked down under a low hanging branch and stopped at her shoulder. What happened? she wondered, staring at the two WindClan cats. And why did they bring so little cats? The young she-cat could hear Silverflame and Rogueblossom push up stand by her mentor. WindClan was outnumbered now!

Rogueblossom walked up beside Snowlily after following Pearlpaw out of camp and towards the training hollow. She nodded a greeting to the deputy, then turned to the WindClan cats. There, standing before her were Birdflight, the WindClan deputy, and some random tom. Not much of a threat, she thought, looking at the way they were covered in mud. Oh well... At least if there is a fight, we'll be ready.

Moonblossom heard the commotion and walked into the clearing to discover a full-on staredown, she quickly assesed what was happening, she had overheard some of the apprentices talking about the WindClan hostage, a patrol must of come to retrieve her, but Shadowclan wasn't ready to let her go yet. She quickly hurried over to the group.

~Guys, guys, guys. Snowlily is NOT in camp or even close. Please read carefully. I also have like 5 people right now while I'm talking with the windclan patrol. I don't need more people with me. Icestar and I are both away from camp so that is where we need our warriors both to watch the camp and guard Dawnstorm. Thank you.~

Icestar narrowed her eyes at the clearing from under the bush. There was the WindClan deputy, Birdflight, and another WindClan tom. Then there was Snowlily, Silverflame, and Rougeblossom, along with Pearlpaw. At least if Snowlily showed weakness, there would be other warriors there to protect ShadowClan's honor. A shiver rippled through Icestar's coat, and she stiffled a cough. She felt the fever heating up her coat, even though she was belly-deep in fresh snow and mud. She had to be strong now. Sickness could not take control of the ShadowClan leader. Sickness is weakness. Weakness is bad. She has to remain strong.

~Guys, we were on a border patrol when we heard about Dawnstorm's capture. There's not going to be just 2 cats! I'm gonna add one more cat. She can be like Breezefrost. She is a black she cat with blue eyes or something ~

Birdflight ignored the sudden presence of the ShadowClan warrior and mewed bravely, "Where is Dawnstorm? We would like her back please." She growled her voice stiff and somewhat impatient. She flicked her tail narrowing her eyes slightly. Behind Birdflight, Breezefrost curled her claws into the ground in frustration. What is taking these ShadowClan cats so long? Breezefrost thought.

Moonblossom quickly realized, that the Windclanners were on the border, the group she had joined was just gossiping about it, she also saw that about half the clan was missing, probably at the showdown, and had enough help already. I'll go hunt she decided, and took off.

Silverflame narrowed her eyes, glancing at the black cat behind Birdflight. One of your warriors crossed the borderline, she thought irritably. Why are you all so angry? The ShadowClan warrior's claws curled in its sheaths, and she glanced ar Snowlily. How would she respond to the WindClan deputy's demand? Surely they deserved more warning.

Snowlily flicked her ear, acknowledging her clanmates arrival. "And I would like for Windclan to respect our borders. However, it looks like we are both losing here." She stared at the windclan warriors traveling with Birdflight. I don't think she is dumb enough to try fighting us here. Not now and especially since she knows she has no leverage in numbers of skill here.

Birdflight dipped her head respectfully. "There will be consequences for crossing into another clan's territory without a reason. I will be talking to Dawnstorm when we return to camp and I assure you, there will be no more foolishness. We will not cross the border without a legitiment reason." She mewed. Not that Id want to Birdflight thought looking down at her muddy paws. "There will certainly be punishment." She assured. Birdflight definitely did not want to start a fight. One, there was certaintly not enough warriors and two they were on enemy territory because Dawnstorm had crossed the border.

"I wasn't just referring to Dawnstorm on the matter." She looked over each of the windclan cats. "It doesn't appear that you or your warriors were the least bit bothered when crossing our border. It takes a lot of nerve to come into our territory without a guide or permission demanding we release one of your warriors for the exact same offense."

Birdflight nodded seeing her point but she raised her head proudly. "We were quite bothered seeing how our paws are muddy and we'd all much rather be on the open moors." She mewed somewhat irritated. Controlling her temper she went on, "We are fearless cats and at the time we were quite upset and upon hearing the capture of Dawnstorm we grew reckless. I apologize." She mewed genuinely sorry. Birdflight kept her eyes guarded and level.

Snowlily sat there silently. Knowing what she had decided already, she glanced at the bushes from the corner of her eye winding if her decision would be approved. Looking back at the windclan deputy she continued, "We'll I'm afraid your journey here will have been in vain. Crossing our border has its consequences and we will be the ones to carry them out here, in Shadowclan." Her voice was firm and left no more room for argument. "You can be sure that our border patrols will be doubled. Especially the one with Windclan. I'll will escort you back to your own territory now." She flicked her tail, signalling for Pearlpaw to come with her.

Birdflight bared her teeth. "We are not leaving without Dawnstorm. I came for one reason and that is to get Dawnstorm back." She growled stepping forward. Beside her, Breezefrost stepped forward alarmed. Her black fur fluffed up and her blue eyes flashed. Breezefrost's eyes widened when she saw that Birdflight blocked her path with her stripped tail. "Snowlily, I don't want to start a fight but we are not leaving without Dawnstorm." Birdflight warned her own golden eyes flashing in warning.

"You do not intimidate me, Birdflight. You haven't received your nine lives yet. Are you really mouse brained enough to risk having your clan lose its leader AND deputy? You are being rash but as it turns out you are not leaving Shadowclan WITH Dawnstorm either. I would take this as your last warning and get out before you get hurt."

Birdflight kept her gaze firm but she sighed. "It didn't have to be like this Snowlily. You don't intimidate me one bit. Escort me and my patrol back to your border for it wouldnt be intelligent to battle now, but I promise you, we will be back." She growled baring her sharp white fangs. "Be prepared." She challenged her golden eyes gleaming with anger. We'll be back Dawnstorm. I promise. I just hope you understand. ShadowClan will pay for this. She thought fiercely.

Silverflame growled softly in approval. WindClan would have to do better than that to get their warrior back. She edged up behind Snowlily, glaring challeningly into the patrol's midst. If it came to a fight...

Go Snowlily! Pearlpaw thought gleefully. She flicked her tail, ready to follow her mentor as they tailed WindClan back to the border. That should show them to respect boundaries. The white-furred she-cat twitched, barely containing her triumph as she flexed her claws.
