Birdflight's Kit Challenge!

Birdkit- small long legged dark brown she cat with coal black tabby stripes and stunningly beautiful golden eyes like the sun. Her front left paw and back right paw is white and her ear tips and tail tip is also white.
Bramblekit- huge muscular dark brown tabby tom with forest green eyes and one black paw. He has broad shoulders and he is taller than almost all the kits in the nursery.
Hawk-kit- lithe and long haired light brown tabby tom with pale yellow eyes and black paws. He is swift with an agile slim form.
Leafwhisper- beautiful lithe light brown tabby she cat with vivid leaf green eyes and one white paw. Mother of Birdkit, Bramblekit and Hawk-kit. Deceased
Sparrowtalon- handsome light brown tabby tom with white paws, piercing golden eyes and broad shoulders. Father of Birdkit, Bramblekit, and Hawk-kit.
Runningstream- beautiful and swift white she cat with silver tabby patches and ice blue eyes. Foster Mother of Birdkit, Bramblekit, and Hawk-kit. Real Mother to Icekit and Boulderkit

Lightning streaked the sky as a beautiful light brown she cat with tabby stripes as black as night was laying down in a makeshift nest. Three mewling kits, just born were squealing in hunger and fear just behind the she cat. The tabby she cat snarled as she stared at her two opponents, a slim jet black tom with glittering amber eyes and a huge dark brown tabby tom with green eyes. One particular kit, which was the only she cat, heard muffled voices filled with anger and so much hate. She whimpered and huddled up closer to her mother and beside her slightly comforting her was her two brothers. Blind and deaf, the kits fell forward tumbling over their mother who had fallen backwards nearly crushing the newborn kits. The three kits landed with a thud, immediately followed by squeals of misery and pain. What happened to mother? The tiny kit thought. It was silent for a moment and she could hear the beating of her heart as it rapidly beat like a drum. There was another muffled sound and for a moment she thought this may be the end. Barely alive, just born she may already die along with her two brothers. Yet somehow the two menacing toms padded out of the badger den into the wild, uncontrollable rain and into the war between the two clans. The small brown tabby kit felt her way back and she squeaked in shock and disgust as she stepped in a shallow puddle of something hot and stinky. She quickly jumped back scared out of her mind and one word flooded her mind. Blood. Something's wrong. Mother! She thought, trying her best not to step in anymore puddles of the disgusting blood but it seemed like it was everywhere. Being blind and deaf, was honestly terrifying and she knew by now her pelt was covered in blood. Her brother's seemed to have the same ordeal when they finally grouped back together, the three kits starving, miserable and without a mother. As brothers and sister the kits reached their mother and snuggled up against her. The kit let out a soft weak cry and she felt her mother slowly lick the top of her kit's heads. At times when mother tried to move she would fall and simply lay there, while the kits pressed up to her squealing for her to move. This happened for hours on end, leaving the three kits simply traumatized. There was a yowl and the kits jumped squealing in shock and fright. There was the thudding of pawsteps and immediately the kits were surrounded by cats and their warmth radiated to the freezing, nearly dead kits. They were covered in comforting licks but she wasn't relaxed at all even though she knew she was surrounded by cats who loved her. All of a sudden she was swept off her paws and dangled in the air which was frightening. In her fear she churned her paws in the air squealing in fright and anger. Much to her happiness she managed to kick one of the cats straight in the nose. All of a sudden she was gently laid down in a soft moss nest and instantly someone started cleaning her pelt along with her siblings. She scrambled over to the she cat's belly and happily began suckling her fear slowly draining away. Eventually she fell asleep feeling confused and her mind felt cloudy with all the hazy memories of the day. Mother, please be ok She thought sadly and fell into a restless sleep.
