Honeyleaf and Steampelt's kits upbringing

Ok so this is for Steampelt and I, (He's pending to be in WC) other cats may post! Plz do its more intresting then!



Honeyleaf was waiting for the last warrior to close their eyes, she was bursting with excitment she was about to see her mate, Steampelt! She hadn't told even her best friend Dawnstorm yet, she was waiting for the right time, but it seemed like it was never the time. Finally everyone but her was asleep. As she quietly snuck out of camp she saw a cat in the dirtplace. Rabbit tails! She silently thought. She would have to sneak out the long way...

Steampelt was waiting at the border for Honeyleaf, finally he saw her golden pelt crash gracefully through the brush. "Honeyleaf!! Finally!" He purred

~Can Honeyleaf and Wintershadow (one of my kits) be best friends, Honey? If so, can she know about you and Steampelt?~

~Awwwww..... you added me on there, Honey!!! That's so sweet! Can I like... be hunting nearby and just overhear you or something?~

(Yes!! Of course Wintershadow and I can be best friends! She can know! Of course Dawn!! You can randomly pop in!!!)

"Steampelt!" Honeyleaf raced ove to him, entwining her tail around his. She was bursting with happiness at the thought of her mate joining WindClan!

Meanwhile, Dawnstorm had been hunting more some rabbit nearby. Honeystar gave her specific orders to go hunt. She knew of Dawnstorm's great hunting abilities, and Bare-leaf was starting to come. As her hunt had become successful, she was going to retrieve her prey in a hole she had dug, which, very coincidentally, was buried near where Honeyleaf and Steampelt were. Behind the bushes. She heard Honeyleaf's soft, gentle voice. "Honeyleaf," she whispered, and peered over the brush to see Steampelt. She knew she shouldn't barge in on this. She sat there silently, feeling lucky the darkest part of her body was her head.

"Steampelt, have you heard any news from the rouges about attacks on the clans latley?" Honeyleaf anxiously asked. Suddenly she got a strange feeling that someone was watching them. She whipped her head around, and saw nothing, but when she looked a little closer she saw 2 faint green eyes. Then slowly she saw the rest of the cat's body. "Dawnstorm! Is that you?" Honeyleaf called.

Dawnstorm fully walked out of the high brush, laughing. "I was hunting, and I overheard you," she said, sitting next to Honeyleaf. She looked at Steampelt. "Uh.... Honeyleaf, I trust since this intruders not tearing your eyes out, you know this loner?" she said, getting ready to pounce if necessary.

Wintershadow heard Dawnstorm and walked over to her. "This is... uh... Honeyleaf, can I tell her?" She didn't want to tell Dawnstorm unless she had Honeyleaf's permission, even though Wintershadow hated telling secrets. She was the most honest cat you could meet, but this was her best friend... She looked at Honeyleaf again, waiting for a response.

"What is it?" Dawnstorm said, turning to Wintershadow and then to Honeyleaf. Dawnstorm somehow knew what was coming next. She had been down the same road when her other friend had the same problem.

"Yes, Dawnstorm can know, I was going to tell her tomorrow." Honeyleaf sighed. "Dawn, this is my... mate. His name is Steampelt. He's trying to join WindClan." Honeyleaf blurted out.

Dawnstorm wasn't too surprised. Of course. Hopefully this won't be like my other friend who broke the warrior code for their mate, Dawnstorm thought. "Well, Steampelt, why don't we take you to camp now? Perhaps Honeystar wouldn't mind," Dawnstorm said, still wary of Steampelt.

"Yea!! Thats a great idea!" Honeyleaf said brightly, trying to ease the tention.

"Come on, Steampelt," Dawnstorm said nicely and welcoming, but in her mind she ment it bitterly, distrustfully..... But she knew Honeyleaf loved this cat, and she had to act civil for her friend.

As the group moved back towards the camp, Honeyleaf got more nervous. "Steampelt, can we not tell people about us yet?" Honeyleaf pleaded. "I'm not embaressed by you or anything, but I might get in trouble." Honeyleaf told him.

Dawnstorm trudged along in front of them, glancing now and than back at the couple. She was so angry..... so frustrated, so...... she didn't even know, or know why. She just felt she was betrayed, and she still was clueless why. Then, when she glanced back to look at Steampelt. She stopped. She noticed something....... it was Honeyleaf, how her middle was fatter.... but not fat, more like a bump....... like..... Dawnstorm's eyes widened in realization and shock. She jumped around, looking Honeyleaf in the eyes. "Honeyleaf!" she squealed. "You never told me!"

Steampelt jumped at Dawnstrom's unexpected excitment. "Honey, what is it?" He asked, confused about what was going on

"Why did you never tell me?" she squealed louder. She jumped in Honeyleaf's tracks. "You're having-" she glanced at Steampelt. She didn't know if this was the right time, but she glanced at her friend. She could tell Honeyleaf was ready for her to tell, so he did. "Honeyleaf is having kits," she sighed out. She glanced at Steampelt. "Your going to be a father, Steampelt!" she was excited now, her anger and betrayal fading from her. But then the realization struck her. Honeyleaf, aucually, had broken the rules. A clan cat can't have a mate with a cat in another clan or a loner/rogue/kittypet. And her stomach was quite noticeable now. She would have kits soon. "Honeyleaf.... you'll have to confess you were his mate, because your going to have kits in about a quarter moon. That's not long at all," Dawnstorm said, now unassuringly.

"You just noticed?" Wintershadow smiled, "And wasn't it Moonshadow who you said was the father even though he's..." Wintershadow, "dead now?" Wintershadow closed her eyes when she said dead. Moonshadow was her brother who loved Honeyleaf. So, she said they were his.

"Well I'm sorry I can't just stop to admire everyone's fatness," she growled to Windershadow. Dawnstorm was not crazy about Wintershadow, but she was okay. But, she was still an acquaintance, so she barely knew her. She turned back to her friend, her face softening. "Moonshadow won't cut it. He died 14 moons ago, you all. Maybe he worked earlier, but a cat isn't pregnant with a kit for 14 moons. You'll have to own up to Steampelt," she said without hesitation, gesturing toward Steampelt. She shot an aggrivated glance at Windershadow.

Honeyleaf sighed. "They are Steampelts." She finally admitted. She felt bad for keeping secrets from her best friends. She just hoped they would
Forgive her.

Dawnstorm trudged along, thinking hardly about the matter at hand. She honestly didn't know what to do, or how to comfort her friend. She proceeded to lumber, turning her head away and closing her eyes.

Honeyleaf could tell something was wrong. Dawnstorm wasn't being her usual talkitive self. She didn't push though, she had a feeling it was something to do with Steampelt, and she was afraid to find out what. She decided some things were better left alone. As they reached the camp cats we're staring, they had noticed Steamfur.

Dawnstorm padded next to her friend. "I'll back you up, watch this," she whispered to her friend, and looked at the startled clan. "Cats of WindClan!" she declared, glancing at the others. "We have all found this loner. He goes by the name of Steampelt, and he wishes to join the clan." She glanced back at the party, and nodded for someone else to back her up.

~Moonshadow didn't die 14 Moons ago because he died when he was 16 moons! He died 1 1/2 moons ago.~
