Windypaw carried 5 plants in his jaws, his ears drooping slightly. Windclan, the fastest and most powerful, number-wise, clan, had been too slow to get to the Star Rock. He glanced up from his paws, spotting the mountains in the distance. Windypaw groaned, his legs tired just from running back and forth to get the plant himself. Now he would have to travel miles back to the moors!

Sparkpaw glared at her mother and stalked over to Lightningstorm and then glanced over at Brokenleaves talking with Burningpath, she quickly looked back at Lightningstorm "All of a sudden the whole of WindClan are trying to get closer to Windystorm, he probably wants a mate, and I'm not even half a warrior." she mewed so only her soon-to-be mentor could hear her.


Brokenleaves cleared her throat and glanced over at Windystorm and Viper "But he's hardly a warrior, plus, she has some competition if she's interested." she mewed nodding toward Sparkpaw, then Viper. "And grown warriors don't usually like to sit around and listen to us old cats blab about who we think should be their mates. She mewed, coughing.

Viper looked at Windystorm and smiled, she then saw Sparkpaw glaring at her. Sighing, she flicked her ear, and turned and looked up at Birdflight. Sneaking side glances at Windystorm, she felt her heart skip a beat at the thought he would find her glancing at him. "So.....I'm doing some hunting later..Wanna come..?" She asked looking at him with light grey eyes.

Lightningstorm smiled at her soon to be apprentice. "Don't give up hope. You never know who he may turn out to like." With a sigh,Lightningstorm looked longingly at Windystorm. "I suppose he is closer to your mother...I admit I am jealous, but I'll find a way to show how I feel...without going to fast of course." The young warrior purred.

Burningpath shrugged. "She is the same age as him and I can tell she is moony over the tom. My niece is perfectly capable of getting closer to him. I raised her after all." He puffed out his white chest proudly. He then glared at Lightning. "Go sit next to him and talk, mouse-brain!" He pished her toward them, making her tumble over herself and knock right into none other than Windystorm himself! Fur puffed out and eyes wide, Lightningstorm stood and shook her pelt out. "Sorry. My uncle's a little...pushy" she chuckled.

Brokenleaves rolled her eyes, "And do you have a mate by any chance?" she teased (SHould they be mates :O) and looked at him "Sparkpaw seems to like himas well." she mewed "Not that that little mousebrained apprentice knows how to get a mate. Bramblefur is her kin." she mewed.

Sparkpaw glanced at Lightningstorm, her ears hot with fury Sparkpaw, you're an apprentice, you never had chance with Windystorm, you may have iked him since the jouney. But there will be other apprentices. she told herself but then again But they won't be the same! she shook her voice out of her head. Still her eyes filled with rage, tears, and love. To her surprise the glaze of tears showed more than the raw emotion of rage.

Viper let out a surprised gasp, and was knocked into the ground along with Windystorm since had been sitting so close to him, her eyes then narrowed. " OF course, this just has to happen!" She then heard a a soft sniffle come from behind her. She rolled her head, trying to un-tangle herself from the tom. She then realized she was free, and pulled herself to her paws. "He just wants what's best for you. No harm done." Viper mewed, before she saw Sparkpaw. With hardly a sound, she padded up to her daughter, and pulled her into a embrace. "Shh, It's ok sweetie. I promise, you'll find someone prefect for you. Now, we don't want to be crying during our apprentice ceremony do we?" Viper purred gently pulling away, gently placing her dainty black paws under the sad apprentice's eyes, and she gently brushing the tears away. "Now, come along. You can sit with Lightningstorm, Windystorm and I. No need to listen to those elders." she shot a narrowed eye glare at the elders, before gently pushing her faughter forward. When she was settled, Viper turned, and padded back to the elders, and mewed "Please, don't go throwing all this nonsense into Sparkpaw's ears. She doesn't need any of this discouragment from you all." her eyes narrowed, before she padded back, and sat down next to Windystorm, and Sparkpaw.

Sparkpaw turned away from Windystorm, and sniffeled. She looked at Birdflight and waited for her meeting to begin.

Brokenleaves snorted "Us elders only tell the truth, except maybe Burningpath." She looked at the tom who Windystorm had pulled ticks off that day. She looked at Viper "We weren't talking to Sparkpaw anyhow. " shepointed out. SHe sniffed her shoulder, which was bugging her and then confirmed "Windystorm forgot me.

(Totally,Sparky!) Burningpath sniffed. "No. I'm more of a loner." He joked. "What nonsense,Viper? Since when did you young fools stop listening to your elders anyway? What we say is true and you are just too mich of a moise-heart to break it to the poor little kit. She's not as fragile as you assume." He growled, eyes ablaze.

Lightningstorm ducked her head at the sound of her uncle heating up. "Burningpath...calm down..." the older tom kept on with his ranting, making the warrior tremble and squeeze her eyes shut. "JUST SHUT YOUR TRAP! i hate it when you argue like that! Why do you think..." with a hiss, Lightningstorm shut up and glared up at Birdflight, trying to focus.

(Toatally what?) Brokenleaves snorted and nuzzled him she looked for Windystorm in the crowd, then she saw Sparkpaw had her back turned pn him. She looked at Burnigpath and waited or him to say something to break the silence.


Sparkpaw saw Lightningstorm with the elders and approached them "Whats all the commition about?" she asked shakily tears still filling her eyes.

Burningpath frowned deeply. "Im sorry, Lightningstorm. I know you parents did-" he shut up with a glare from Lightningstorm and flattened his ears. "Everythings fine,Sparkpaw. Just a little disagreement's all." She forced a smiled then looked apologetically at her uncle. (About Burningpath and Brokenleaves being mates!)

(Ah) Brokenleaves flattened her ears at her neice (Yah!) and mewed "You are very inexperienced." she mewed her ears lifting "Maybe you would suit Windystorm better." she mewed nosing her shoulder with a bulging black pest attachted.

Sparkpaw's mouth gaped open at Brokenleaves words and she darted into the apprentices den and sobbed. If she coldn't cry to her favorite elder, or her mother, she'd cry to herself.

Viper hissed, and padded up to Brokenleaves, until they were nose to nose. "Listen, Brokenleaves, you should be kinder to her. You should be encouraging her, not being rude to her. She's a beautiful young she-cat, and you should atleast know that! Can't you please at least be nice to her?" she asked angrily, before following Sparkpaw. "Shh, it's ok Sparkpaw. Brokenleaves is just a old elder, what does she know? She is just being a jerk. Now come along, dry your eyes. No sensible young she-cat crys on her apprentice ceremony." she gently led her back into the clearing, and settled back down beside Windystorm, Sparkpaw hopefully following. "Those elders are so rude sometimes. But anyways Windystorm, would you like to go out on a walk later?" she asked, looking at the tom.

Sparkpaw followed her mother after a moments hesitation and she wiped a forepaw ver each of her eyes. She walked over to Her mother and Windystorm and frowned at her mother's question to the young tom. She wlked away from her mother, her tail lashing in agigtaition. She looked up at Birdflight then shot a glare at her mother.

Brokenleaves snorted and lied on the ground with a puff of annoyance "I was just giving her enouragment!" she yelled after the black she-cat.

~I just have to butt in and say.... It's almost funny to see how three cats are all fighting over poor Windy. xD~

Burningpath hissed at the she-cat and nudged his mate. "She's just mouse-brained. She'll learn the hard way." He chuckled.

Lightningstorm laughed at her uncle. "You old coot. Always asserting yourself in." A small smile cover her face. Until she saw Sparkpaw and went to sit by her. "Just ignore it. I think he likes you better." She winked. "But, I think maybe Spiderpaw over there has his eyes on ya!" She nodded to a black tom in the crowd trying not to make it obvious he was watching them. (Made him up lol)

"Hm." Sparkpaw snorted, he was nice too, he was a good friend of hers. He did seem to like her slightly. she looked at Lightningstorm "Lightningstorm, You like Windystorm too, I can tell. He was Viper's apprentice, of course he's more fond of her, he knows her better." she knew that Lightning would point out they had shared a den but, they hadn't she was bareley made an a apprentice plusit was her mouse-brained sister's fault they were seven moons.

Brokenleaves snorted, "No wonder you two are related." she licked her mate between the ears to let him know it was just a playful tease.

Birdflight kept back a snarl. It was obvious all the she cats were mooning over oblivious Windystorm. Yes he was a handsome young tom but he was far too young for her and she had to focus on her clan and her role as Deputy first. She waited until the drama and talking was over then began her speech. "Now this ceremony has been long overdue and it is time Sparkpaw receives her mentor. Lightningstorm shall be your mentor. May you pass down all you know to this your apprentice." She smiled and flicked her tail signalling for the two she cats to step forward.

Sparkpaw looked at the she-cat beside her then stepped forward reaching up to touch noses with her mentor.

Lightningstorm felt her pelt heat up with embarrassment but stepped forward and gently touched noses with her apprentice.

Burningpath mrrowed and started cheering loudly. "YEAH!!! GO,LIGHTY AND SPARKPAW!" He yowled.

Sagedapple was amused by the way three she-cats were all mooning and half-fighting over Windystorm. It reminded her of the times when she was still much younger and barely a full warrior. Her tail swished through the air and she quickly added her voice to the cheer at Birdflight's announcement. Life's passing by fast, Sagedapple reflected to herself and stood to go and congratulate mentor and apprentice.

Sparkpaw lashed her tail wishing she hadn't been so angry during the ceremony she had waited for so long. She looked at Sagedapple approaching. "Hello Sagedapple." She dipped her head to the brown she-cat.

Birdflight smiled as the clan cheered and joined in happily. She leaped off of the HighRock landing gracefully and easily. Padding over to the mentor and apprentice she smiled. "Congrats to both of you." She mewed dipping her head, golden eyes glittering happily. Birdflight pricked her ears and smiled warmly to Sagedapple. "Greetings!" She mewed giving a small nod to the medicine cat.

"Thank you, Birdflight." Lightningstorm beamed with a dainty tip of her head. "Hey, Sagedapple!" The warrior trilled delightedly to the medicine cat.

Sparkpaw dipped her head respectfully to the deputy. She walked to the elders' den and slapped Brokenleaves with her tail "Meanie!" She called and hopped over to greet Rockpaw "Now we can train together!" She told her happily. "Me too." Spiderpaw reminded the two she-cats. " Of course, Spoderpaw." She assured him.

Brokenleaves rubbed her cheek where Sparkpaw slapped her "Hmph." She puffed sliding closer to her mate.

Burningpath hissed and cuffed the apprentice over the head. "Show your mentor's kin some respect, kit!" He growled.

Lightningstorm heard tge commotion and excused herself. "Sparkpaw! Please respect the elders!" She sighed with a small hidden smile.

Sparkpaw snorted "I respect the elders, and they get me worked up at my apprentice ceremony." She retorted to her mentor. She stuck her tounges out at Burningpath Andre continued her conversation with Spiderpaw, Heatherpaw, Gorsepaw, and Rockpaw.

Brokenleaves turned Burningpath's attention toward the apprentice with a tounges sticking out in his direction.
