Sandclan lives in the sandy moorland, with rocks jutting out all over. Their camp is the only place moor with tree's. They hunt rabbits, birds, and eagles.

Sandstar stepped out of her den under the tall rock, and took in a deep breathe of the chilly air. Sighing, she sat down. "I can't believe Morningstar's dead!" she thought, her mind flashing to three days eailer. The light orange tom was trying to escape the fire that had swet through the territory and the tom slipped, tumbling down the sky hill, with her skidding after him. Remembering the large jagged boulder that stuck out called Moorrock, and how she tried to move away, she had still slammed into it, earning her broken ribs. But Morningstar wasn't so lucky. He had hit his head. Sandstar shook away the horror of her father's death, and she tried to focus. "I'll ask Stonestep to send a hunting patrol soon..." she thought and continued her washing.

~Icey! What about me! I asked if Harepae and Jaypaw could become mates later~

Jaypaw looked around camp and saw her new leader She must be thinking a out Morningstar the elderly leader died a few days earlier in a fire. Sandstar had broke her ribs and Morningstar had died. Jaypaw kept looking around she wasn't scheduled to go on any patrols. (And I have no mentor) so she looked at her friend Hollypaw "Hi, Hollypaw! How are you this morning?" She walked over and sat down next to her brown friend.

Sure, Scar! Unless another apprentice has her eye on him ~

Sandstar looked at the two apprentices and got to her paws, ignoring the dull ache in her side and padded toward the two she-cats. "Good morning Jaypaw, Hollypaw." she mewed, nodding to the apprentices. "Hollypaw, we have a big day of training today. So get some fresh kill. As for Jaypaw, it is sad that your mentor passed in the fire, but I have a plan to make sure you get your training done as well." Sandstar mewed and then she peered into the den and mewed, "Harepaw! Get that lazy fur ball called your head up! And get Wolfglare, Your father needs to know of this plan." Harepaw rolled onto his side, and stretched and growled, "Fine, Fine mother." he sighed, and got to her paws, his dusty fur spiked up in places. "See ya later guys." he mewed to the two she-cats, and flashed them a dazzling smile, and then he padded off to find his father.

"Later, Harepaw," Hollypaw mewed, twitching her ears at him as he left. She stretched, yawning widely, her sleek brown coat rippling as she stretched out her legs. She nodded at Sandstar. "Are we doing battle training or hunting today?" Hollypaw asked, snagging a vole from the fresh-kill pile with one of her long claws. She sniffed her paw pad, which was a little burnt from stepping on an ember during the fire. It still throbbed, but no longer gave her sharp stabs of pain when she walked.

"By Harepaw." Jaypaw flashed an affectionate glance at the young tom. "Well id better catch up with Fl- nevermind." The orange she-cat remembered that her mentor had died along with her mother and father. She looked at Hollypaw. "You'd better go with Sandstar."
Jaypaw needed a new mentor.

Fawnpaw stepped out of the apprentice den, yawning. She saw the other apprentices getting ready for their training. "Hey Hollypaw. How's your paw?"

Sandstar grabbed a small rabbit for herself, and looked at her apprentice. "Well, I have a small task to do before we go training. After all, since most of Sandclan was lost to the fire, we have to many apprentices and not enough warriors." Sandstar rememebered her parents being crushed by the burning tree. SHaking her head slightly, Sandstar looking at Harepaw, her son with Wolfglare, affectionatly."He'll do well with this task." she mewed, then she looked at Hollypaw and mewed, "Now. I have a ceremony to preforum." Then she got to her paws, and padded to the Tall rock, and leapt on the top, and yowled, "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather here beneath the high rock for a clan meeting!"

Jaypaw walked toward the high rock at Sandstar's call and joined her clanmates. She looked up at her leader and sat down next to to the deputy, Stonefire.

"Okay." Hollypaw nodded at Sandstar again. She turned at her name. "Hey Fawnpaw!" The apprentice called, bounding over to her friend. "Its fine. Hurts a bit, but it doesn't sting anymore. That's good right?" She cocked her head to one side, eyes shining. Hollypaw knew perfectly fine that it was a sign of improvement; she just wanted to tease Fawnpaw. Nudging the medicine cat apprentice; Hollypaw turned around and darted toward the High Rock as Sandstar called the traditional meeting words. She felt suddenly buzzing with energy after she'd eaten. Hollypaw wasn't looking where she was going and almost crashed into Harepaw, making him fall over. She shifted her weight at the last second, turning her shoulder so she only brushed Harepaw, shoving him a little. "Sorry!" Hollypaw gasped, skidding to a stop. "I wasn't looking where I was going," she meowed apologetically, blinking at her Clanmate.

"Whoa! Slow down." Harepaw purred, and as he pulled away from the smaller she-cat, his muzzle brushed her face. Harepaw smirked, his dazzling amber eyes playful. "Just be more careful, k? Next time you could get hurt.." he mewed smoothly and then he stood up, got to his paws, and he winked and flashed her a dazzling smile. Padding toward the high rock, the sun bounced off of his light sandy pelt.

Sandstar smiled as she saw Hollypaw and Harepaw almost crash. "Hm. I always knew Harepaw was a flirt around his clanmates, but this could cause some trouble." she thought. "As you all know, the fire took most of our clanmates away. Including Morningstar, the medicine cat apprentice, Fallowpaw, Jaypaw's mentor and her family, all of our elders, my parents, and all of the queens and kits." she said sadly, and then she mewed comfortingly to her clan, "But Sandclan isn't finished yet. But since most of our warriros passed, we are short on mentors. So, Harepaw, come forward." she mewed, and she saw her son flash one of his dazzling smiles, before he looked at his mother. "Harepaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code with the cost of your life?" Harepaw nodded. "Then by the powers of Starclan, I give you your warrior name. From this moment on, Harepaw, you shall be known as Harespring!"

"Does this mean Harespring is my mentor?" Jaypaw called out to her leader she gave a flirty smile to Harespring. She hoped he would be her mentor. She would listen well to him.

Wolfglare trotted into camp with a plump eagle in his strong jaws. Dropping his catch in the pile, he hurried over to see what Sandstar had to say. The handsome dark brown tabby slid through the crowd and sat by his son. Hearing him flirt, he rolled his fiery amber eyes. "That's my boy." He grinned after hearing him named Harespring. Pride filled his whole face.

"Oh, um, sorry," Hollypaw mumbled, pulling away, embarressed. She blinked, shaking her head as she retreated into the crowd, sitting beside Stormstrike, a senior warrior. Hollypaw had never felt so embarressed before. She rubbed her face with one paw, blinking, as everyone congratulated Harespring. As Jaypaw meowed something, Hollypaw scowled, but she wasn't sure why she was annoyed. The apprentice kneaded the sand with her paws, forgetting about her burn. "Ow!" Hollypaw hissed, licking at the offending pad. It stung like fury.

Sandstar smiled as she noticed her apprnetices fumbling. "That is all, Harespring you can start training with Jaypaw, but when it is sunset, I expect you to be back for your village." Sandstar dissmissed the meeting and she leaped down and padded toward her apprentice and mewed, "We shall be training with Harespring and Jaypaw for the day!" and she bekond Harespring and Jaypaw over.

Harespring saw Hollypaw's embarassment, and smirked. "So we'll be training together, mother?" he mewed, and Sandstar nodded. "Come along now." Sandstar led the way out of the camp. "Heh, this is going to be fun." he said and followed his leader
