Moonpaw bounded over to the patrol,"Wait!" Moonpaw yowled and caught up with Shockpaw,panting, and walked in pace with her."You almost forgot me!" Moonpaw purred,"and sorry for being a bit late," Moonpaw meowed. Then he padded on after the other cats.

The group padded into the forest. Shockpaw pricked her ears. She heard a sparrow. She crept towards it. The sparrow was on the ground pecking at the ground. She leaped for it but missed. She growled in anger. Stupid me! She thought.

Magpie! Moonpaw dropped into a hunters crouch instinctively. He crept forward and leapt. He snatched the bird in his claws and killed it. Moonpaw dropped it into a hole and padded on.

SunFur, "I guess here is a good start." She meowed at PhoenixGlare notices the apprentices where off already. SunFur leapt onto a low branch then up into a tree. The sun blazed down on her back, a mouse brained robbin though she was a sun. So she leapt at the bird knocking it out of the tree. She scowled and leapt down claws unsheathed as she landed on top of the bird killing it with her weight. She burried it and sat down in a small clearing, listening to the environment around her.

Shockpaw padded on. She heard a robin. She instinctively dropped down into a hunter's crouch and creaped forward. This time, her leap was well aimed and she landed on the robin. She trapped it with her claws and killed it with a bite to the neck. She picked it up and padded back to the patrol.

SunFur's ears perked up as she heard a strange sound like a ugly grunt. She tilted her head to the side and followed the sound to a den. She peered in and saw a huge dog like thing, it growled durring its sleep. She stared at it horrified never hearing or seeing of such a thing. One eye opened and it slowly got up standing up on its two hind legs like a two leg, it roared and her fur stood on its end as she looked at it, to terrified to move. It had to be bigger than a two leg. It roared and she caught a glimpse of its pointy dagger like teeth. She stared in fear. She yowled in shock as it dove its massive claws at her. She sprawled backwards.

Shockpaw heard Sunfur's startled yowl and rushed to her aid. When she arrived at Sunfur's side. She gave a yelp of terror. Standing before her was a huge dog-like thing! She gaped at the size and the razor-sharp teeth and claws.

) "ShockPaw! G-get back!" SunFur mewed protectively. Surely it would take out ShockPaw in one blow! SunFur got up steadily and hissed at the beast. It grumbled and glared at her. She lashed her paw out at it trying to draw it away from ShockPaw and the rest of camp. It roared and started to rampage after her. "ShockPaw Run while you still can!" She yowled as she bolted for her life. Every paw step she took was like a leap. Her heart was beating so fast she thought it was going to burst!

Shockpaw took off running. She pelted back to camp as fast as she could. The thing was coming after them. She poured on speed. She finally ran into camp. "Attack, attack!" She yowled. "A big thing is chasing us!"

Shockpaw ran into the clearing. "An animal is attacking! Help!" She yowled at the top of her lungs. The animal burst in and roared with anger. It grabbed Shockpaw around the waist and lifted her up. Shockpaw hissed with pain and tried to wriggle free but the animal tightened its grip. Shockpaw couldn't help it. She yowled with pain. Her legs felt like they were being wrenched from their sockets. She hung upside dow, limp as dead prey, trying not to scream and gag.

SunFur hissed at herself, "This is all my fault!" She chased after ShockPaw and leapt at the animal, she raked her claws down its back. It roared and dropped her, it whipped around and glared at her with silted eyes. She leapt at it biting down on its huge paw. It smirked but it still winced. It picked her up in its jaws and shook her around violently.

Moonpaw raced in and leaped at the dog, the dog thing was ugly. The dog snarled in anger and flung Moonpaw backwards onto the ground. Moonpaw lay on the ground, winded, sprawled out and limp. The dog started to stalk over to him leaving Sunfur. Moonpaw would be easy prey for a large dog like this," Ewww your breathe STINKS!" Moonpaw growled then leaped up and ran. The dog yowled in surprise then started to chase after him,"HELP!" Moonpaw screeched.

Shockpaw dropped down onto the ground with a thud. "Ow," She groaned. She stood up and locked her gaze on the dog thing. It was chasing Moonpaw. She sprinted after the thing and leaped onto it's back. She hissed and bit her teeth into its back. The dog thing howled with pain and knocked her aside. She slammed into a tree and lay motionless.

Moonpaw glanced backwards the dog thing was turning toward Shockpaw who lay motionless beside a tree. Moonpaw halted and turned. Claws unsheathed, Moonpaw flung himself at the dog thing and tackled it. The dog shrieked as Moonpaw clawed its side and ran a little way from it.

SunFur got up quickly and sprang over, She stood over ShockPaw who lay moition less. She picked her up and gently dragged her back to camp. A tear ran down her face, She bent down over the apprentice and whispered into her ear, "Even though when I'm not there i'll always watch over you." She whispered sadly then licked her shoulder before bolting after the dog like creature. She leapt at it shocking it pretty good. It snarled and lunged at her, SunFur quickly bolted up a tree her claws dug into the side for there were no branches. The creature stood on its two legs and bagged hard against the young tree, With ease it fell over...

Moonpaw watched Sunfur. Moonpaw was behind a tree and was going to ambush the dog. Moonpaw climbed the tree and leaped to each tree till he was over the dog. "Here goes nothin," Moonpaw muttered and leaped out of the tree. The creature looked up, it's snarls and throaty growls turned into a scream of suprise as Moonpaw landed on the dog thing. Everything went back and the dog creature landed ontop of Moonpaw. The silver tom layed on the ground motionless and un moving. The dog got up and ran with yelps of pain.

Shockpaw got up wobbly. She saw Moonpaw laying unmoving in the middle of the clearing. "Moonpaw!" She shouted. She sprinted toward the dog thing and tackled it. It gave a roar of pain and outrage as Shockpaw and the dog-thing toppled to the ground. Shockpaw stood up, chest heaving and mouth curled into a snarl.

Shockpaw glared at the dog-thing. The dog thing snarled back. She hissed and clawed its eyes. The animal howled with pain and leaped on her. Shockpaw felt like all the bones in her body was broken. She grunted with pain as the impact pushed her body into the ground. She tried to wriggle but she was to stuck. All she could do was watch as her doom came closer and closer...

SunFur fell crushed by the young tree, Her vision went blurry she spotted ShockPaw. "S-hockPaw..." She moaned, she felt blood drip down her coat as one of the twig dug into her side, She tried to push herself up. She winced, pain ran through her like a river. She tried one more time and just made it, Her fur glowed under the heat of the sun, She limped toward the doglike thing and hurled herself at it knocking the breath out of it. As she tackled and tossed with it weakly she murmered, "I am SunFur, i will risk my life not because I hate what's in front of me but because I love what's behind me." She cried out as she dug her claws into the things chest. It roared, The thing got up and was tempted to fight back but roared insted and ran off.
