Fur- Clocks was a beautiful pure white he-dog with a full coat. Now, his fur is tangled in the places it hasn't been pulled out. Twigs and leaves are entangled in his neck fur and tail.

Moonfur finished the mouse and decided to wander around looking for something to do.

Stryker sniffed when he heard the howling. He almost barked in response, but caught himself just in time. Shaking his fluffy head, the border collie scrambled out of his alley again, sniffing the air. The sound was coming from the old park... Stryker yearned to go and join his companions, but something told him to wait. He whimpered in the back of his throat and turned left down the street, away from the park.

Yep. They're both accepted and I will delete Isis very soon, Ivyfrost. My Kindle was nearly out battery so I didn't really bother to do it right away]

Myst yawned and slunk out of her hiding place/den in the hawthorn bush next to the crepe myrtle. She swiveled her ears in the direction of Fetch's bark, but like Stryker, some instinct told her to wait... So as quietly as she could, Myst stalked through the shadows to the fence of her former owner's home. She recalled how she had run away a year earlier, when she was just a puppy, a tiny scrap of silver and white husky fur. She didn't regret it. The owner may have meant well, but the weather was too hot for the husky, and she hated the brown food pellets. Myst strained, trying to see her friends.

Fetch slowly entered the dingy park, moving along he hedges that surrounded the entrance. He thought he could see another do, but the sand was creating a dust cloud and he whimpered slightly, shutting his eyes.

Myst crept on until she reached the old park, where dust clouded around the rusty swings and dirtied her beautiful fur. She thought she could hear another there. "Is that you, Fetch?" she called softly.

Fetch opened his eyes, just enough to squint. There was another dog here!
"Who are you?" he called. "Do I know you?"

Stryker sniffed the air again, detecting the new scent in the air. His tail slowly wagged again, and he finally felt that it was right to approach the park. Nevertheless, he took a detour, winding through the surrounding forest so he could enter the park at an angle where none of the dogs would be behind him. Stryker hadn't been so suspicious before, but time from his owners had taught him things. He veered almost reluctantly from the forest and swung toward the park, a black-and-white shadow lost amid the long grass. Stryker finally appeared from the side, his black nose emerging first.

"It's me, Myst," she replied, padding toward the sound of Fetch's voice. Emerging from the dust, she was able to make out his shape now.

He did recall a puppy wih a similar name who had moved in not long ago. Unfortunately, they hadn't stayed.
"Oh... Okay," was Fetch's only reply. "Do you know where the others are? Do you think they'll show up?"
There was a rustling sound and the mix breed turned. "Hello? Is there another dog there?"

"Stryker," the border-collie woofed softly. He approached cautiously, eyes on the mix in front of him. He looked vaguely familiar; maybe Stryker had been on a walk with his neighbor to this exact park.... and their owners had chatted for awhile? Stryker lifted his head, peering past the dog and spotted two more figures in the dingy park. "What happened?"

Stryker seemed familiar enough to Fetch. Sighing, he replied, "I'm not sure of the details, but I know that there are no more people here. Our owners and neighbors and all gone. I haven't seen any other animals yet; just us."

"Stryker, hey!" Myst greeted the border collie. "Fetch, remember me, the husky next door who ran away a year ago?" Then she heard his next words. "It can't be. I've SEEN other dogs and cats here. And of course all the birds and squirrels. Speaking of squirrels, I'm hungry." Myst licked her lips. "But if that's true, then good riddance. My owner obviously wasn't the brightest one."

Stryker shot Myst a narrowed look from his blue eyes. "Some dogs actually had owners that they liked!" he growled. Instantly, he was on guard of this husky, this indifferent and cocky dog. Growling softly, the border collie distanced himself from Myst, huffing angrily. Stryker's owner had been the best owner a dog could ever have. The food he was given wasn't even pellets most of the time. Stryker was always given freedom, of walking through the neighborhood because his humans trusted him, the freedom of doing almost anything...

"Well, you haven't met mine," Myst replied, unfazed by his anger. (I thought they knew each other?) "He gave me pellets every day. And stuck inside a shack isn't the place for a husky." Someone's got anger issues, the silver dog thought.

~I don't think so. >.> Cause Stryker was with his owners until the huge accident thingy, and Myst was a stray...?~

Stryker snorted and retreated so he was sitting at the edge of the park, his back to the long grass surrounding it. Someone is inconsiderate. He glanced at the other figures in the park, ignoring the cocky husky.

Apocalypse woke to the sound of barking and howling at the abandoned park. The massive husky/wolf/German shepherd mix growled, the sound making the ground shake with the force of his irritation. It was almost night, for heaven's sake. He rose to his paws, icy blue eyes glittering like chips of ice as Apocalypse glanced toward the dingy park.

Myst rose to her paws. "Well I'm going hunting," she said. "See you guys soon." As Myst exited the park, she felt the ground shake and saw Apocalypse. She shuddered. She didn't like the admit it, but Myst was scared of the husky/German shepherd/whatever he was mix. She veered away from the big dog and started toward an oak she knew the squirrels liked to hang out in.

Agito opened him eyes and stood up. He looked around to see no dogs or any other sort of life. She sniffed the air and smelt somthing... "Dogs." he growled to himself. He followed the scent until he got to the park. He laid down behind a bush, trying to make out what they're saying.

Clocks cocked his head and watched the dogs from the picnic table. He laid down and watched the canines, head on his paws. Hmph! Owner disappeared! Nonsense. Weren't they there when the disease struck? The young samoyed stood and shook his body, jingling a dull ID tag.

Fetch sniffed. His new (or old?) friends were already having disagreements. He saw a new dog, who was at least double his height. "Um, hey big guy, what's your name?" he asked. (Apocalypse )

Agito stood up, knowing they could see him now. He just sat down and watched them. What are they doing? he thought. He glared at them with squinted eyes, wanting to know what was happening.

Clocks hopped down from the bench and stared at the others dogs. He snorted and padded off into the bushes, rattling them intensely.

Fetch whimpered again. For a while now, he thought he had heard sounds. Now, he knew there was definitely someone or something else in the park. He sniffed the air, trying to get a scent but got a dust filled nose instead. "Did anyone else hear that rustle? Or am I just insane?"
