Miles licked her paw, swiping it over her ear a few times. "Since we all have impeccable timing, let's be impeccable some more and get something to eat afterwards. I want to make it back here before sundown, to watch the sunset."
This sunset won't be the same, but at least I'm not alone anymore.

"What now? I think we need to talk. Everyone. About the very thing we hate to talk about..." Brisingr took a shaky breath as he studied his friends closely. Miles, with her cool expression. Nico, seemingly carefree, but angry before. Tenebris... Somehow Tenebris looked and acted just like a tom Brisingr knew on the plains who had been his friend and helped him survive, before Brisingr...died. [They're the same cats! ] And then there was Scratch. Brisingr didn't know exactly how he thought of her.

"Care to go first?" Miles meowed. "I've already said enough."
She was eager to finally hear explanations for the strange behaviour her friends were showing. She tried not to show it, but her face changed a little.

"Gee, Nico that sounds fun!!" Her voice sounded as kittish as his. But then she turned to Brisingr and said "What's wrong theese days?" He loomed as if a million emotions poured over him at one when he said her name and he looked as if he was thinking of something else, someone else...

Tenebris narrowed his eyes, his manner guarded. "Well. Who want's to go first?" A thought came to him and he whipped around, his body a blur as he clamped a paw on Nico's tail. "You're not going to go stomping off into the forest when this topic comes up right?"

"Why don't we draw sticks?" Miles suggested. ( ) "I've already gone so I'll pick some that are different lengths. And you can't back out. Whatever is shared in this clearing stays in the clearing."

"Huh?" Scratch didn't know so much could happen if you slept in!!

"Hey Scratch," she chuckled. "We've finally agreed to share our pasts. Only with each other, though."

Nico's expression soured. "but I wanted to swim..." he pouted. "plus....my history" he said the word like it was poisonous. "isn't something I'd like to share." the tom's expression was now uncharacteristically, dangerously cold. Yanking his tail from Tenibris's grasp, a low growl whisked from his muzzle. "Why is it so important to share?"

"It's been bugging most of us for a while now," Miles meowed. "Someof us would like to get it off our backs. If you'd like, Nico, I'll swim with you."

Brisingr tensed. "What, you think mine will be any easier to share? You think ALL OF OUR histories would be esier to share then yours?" he growled. Then he continued in a gentler but still firm tone, "Do any of you really want to have that knowledge cooped up in you for the rest of your lives? Sharing our histories, letting it go, will make everything easier. We trust each other don't we?"

"I don't like to talk about mine either," Tenebris hissed, leaning forward to stare into Nico's face. His eyes were now like sheets of frozen marble. "But we're all friends, right?" He emphasized the word pointedly. "Friends should know about each other, more than a the shallow knowledge of mere acquaintances." He leaned back, eyes blankly empty. Vaguely, he still remembered the close friendship he had shared with the ginger tom after he had been exiled.

Nico glared at his friend. It only lasted a second. Nico couldn't stay angry at his friends for long. Not them. They were all he had. "Fine then. Guess I have no choice then." his voice cracked toward the end. The Tom glared at the ground and his paws. He hated sharing things about himself, but he would lose these friends if he didn't.

Friends... The word sparked the memory of that black cat again. Brisingr shook his head. It couldn't be Tenebris. Brisingr had died already. And yet... It wasn't so long ago, a voice in his head nagged. And I bet you can't even remember his name, can you? Brisingr pushed the thought away and gaed at Nico. "Come on," he pleaded. "The sooner we get it over with, the better it will feel."

"Okay, the sticks." Tenebris sighed. Glancing around, he snagged several sticks. Tossing the ones that were around the same length as others, Tenebris came out with four sticks, varying in length. "So what's with this drawing-stick plan of yours? I don't get it." The black tom dumped the twigs unceremoniously in the middle of the five of them.

"I have no history!!" Scratch whined "I liked Nico's idea better." Scratch thought about it for a moment but then realized she couldn't make up lies so she didn't g
have to tell. " Fine. But if one prussic tell... there will be one less rouge in the forest..."
Yes, she was being a little dramatic but, its true. She's killed before.

~read my history :3 Lily is the cat Brisingr liked before he died. Then "StarClan" decided to give him a second chance and brought him back to life full grown.~

"We won't tell," Brisingr promised her. His eyes seemed even darker and more sorrowful than before.

Nico sighed impatiently. "Lets start this thing before I change my mind." His sharp white teeth clamped onto a stick as he picked it up and dropped it at his paws,eyes narrowed.

Miles hesitated. There was a huge chunk she wasn't telling them; her mother.
"Well, Ten, we draw a random stick and whoever has the shortest stick has to talk first. We'll go from shortest to longest. Do you.. Want me to participate too?"

Tenebris hesitated, then nodded at Miles. "Please do," he meowed. Reaching out, he grasped a medium-long stick from the middle of he pile and dragged it over to his paws. The black tom rolled it back and forth with one paw uneasily, his expression blank and shadowed with regret. Tenebris sighed, exhaling slowly as he looked up again.

Scratch reached down and grabbed a very short stick "Mouse dung!" Obbiosly it was th shortest stick.l

Trying to catch a peek at which stick may be the longest, Miles picked up a fairly short one. Looking over at Scratch, she was relieved to see that hers wasn't the shortest stick.

Scratch glared when Miles looked at her. But that only lasted a second she was lucky to have another she-cat with her tonight. " well who hasn't chosen?" Scratch wanted to get this done.

(I have no iidea what I'm going to say..,)

"Brisingr?" Tenebris glanced at the ginger tom and motioned slightly with his head toward the last stick. He sat down, his green eyes shadowed as he crouched in the shade of an oak. Absently, Tenebris pawed and rolled the stick around, his claws gouging nicks into the bark as he flicked it back and forth lightly. Slowly, cautiously, the black tom allowed the memories to unravel and smooth out. He winced inwardly as several images came to mind: Haunted's violet-blue gaze, the yowling of his ginger companion as the rogues overwhelmed them, the snows crunching beneath his paws he fled up the mountain path, the dying thoes of the unknown cats he had ruthlessly and silently killed to relieve him of his own pain.... Tenebris blinked rapidly and extracted himself from his memories.

Scratch looked around the circle of rouges "Should I begin?" She began dryly she didn't understand why the came back to all this past stuff she wanted to be surrounded with the fun-loving toms she one knew not this whiney bunch of drama queens (no offense) she bit back a snarl and gazed around at her freinds,- or at least she thought they were freinds.
Nico, one of her first freinds he secretly is mating a stinky Clan cat, Hauntedsoul
Miles, a loner who often stopped by
Brisingr, a fun now dramatic tom who Scratch seeks matesbip in
and then there was Tenebris, he well, he's kind of, mysterious...
